Nuestra casa de 4000 pies cuadrados fue construida en 2003. ¡Está hermosamente equipado para alojar hasta 16 personas! Nuestra casa limita con el hermoso Parque Estatal Whitefish Dunes con una playa privada de arena. NO está directamente sobre el agua, pero nuestra playa de arena privada está a solo 3 minutos a pie (o 500 pies) de nuestra puerta principal. Ubicado en un área exclusiva y aislada, bordeando un parque estatal (1000 acres), a solo 15-20 minutos de las pintorescas tiendas del pueblo. ¡Salga a caminar por la hermosa playa o camine, vaya en bicicleta o esquíe a través de su puerta!

Nuestra sala de juegos ofrece: ping pong, futbolín, dardos electrónicos (en el garaje), una mesa de juego y sillas con backgammon y cribbage, televisor de 36 pulgadas y sofá.

Nuestra gran sala grande ofrece: hermoso techo de catedral, chimenea, muchos asientos cómodos, Smart TV de pantalla plana de 42 "con cable, reproductor de DVD y equipo de música con Wi-Fi.

La enorme cocina gourmet ofrece: microondas, vitrocerámica, horno de tamaño completo, 2 refrigeradores de tamaño completo (1 en el garaje), lavaplatos, cafetera, molinillo de café, tostadora, licuadora y muchos gabinetes, espacio para encimeras y una variedad de especias.

Nuestra sala de Sun frente al lago Michigan tiene 8 luces de cielo sobre una mesa de comedor con capacidad para 10 o más sillas altas. Además nuestro snack bar tiene capacidad para 3.

Tenemos una cubierta trasera enorme con hermosas exposiciones occidentales con parrilla de carbón natural y asientos para 10 o más.

A todos les encanta pasar el rato en nuestro Fire Pit con vista al hermoso Whitefish Dunes State Park. Vistas impresionantes de Big Dipper y Little Dipper en el verano.

Dormitorio # 1: Dormitorio principal de gran tamaño (segundo piso) con cama Queen colocada debajo de un Sky Lite. TV con DVD y cable HDMI para tu laptop. Área de balcón extra grande con una larga pasarela que se ha utilizado como escenario para espectáculos que nuestros niños han realizado a lo largo de los años. Enorme baño principal con hidromasaje para dos personas. Enorme ducha con chorros de masaje y cabezales de ducha en dos lados opuestos! Suba la escalera del barco (ubicada en la esquina del dormitorio) para acceder al Nido del Cuervo con una vista panorámica del Parque Estatal Whitefish Dunes y el Lago Michigan.

Dormitorio # 2 (piso principal) 2 camas de tamaño completo con un gran armario y ventanas enormes con una vista impresionante del Whitefish Dunes State Park.

Dormitorio # 3 (piso principal) 1 cama matrimonial y dos camas gemelas con un amplio y amplio vestidor. Terraza privada con impresionantes vistas del parque estatal.

* Dormitorio # 4 (piso principal): para grupos que necesitan 4 áreas privadas para dormir, convertiremos una parte de la sala de recreación en un área privada para dormir al colocar una cama de tamaño completo directamente bajo la luz del cielo. También hay un medio baño justo fuera de la puerta..

# 5 Dormitorio de concepto abierto en el loft superior con sofá tamaño futón. Excelente lugar para niños o adultos que no necesitan privacidad. Hermosa vista de la gran sala y Whitefish Dunes Park.

# 6 Sofá cama en el área de Cozy Den, a pocos pasos del medio baño.

A great stay

This home was a wonderful place for our family vacation in Door County. The sandy beach across the street was convenient and private, and you’re surrounded by miles of trails to hike and explore. The owners were responsive and friendly- a great stay.

Wonderful stay

Lovely house with ready access to a beautiful beach. My wife children, grandkids and dogs had a great time inside and out. Getting to the beach is a bit of an adventure rewarded with a beautiful beach. Fred, the owner, was great.

Unique retreat!

Such a fun unique property! We loved spending time in the lookout tower and cuddled up by the fire. A short bike ride can get you to cave point as well which was fantastic! Fred was easy to work with and accomodiating.

Lovely Stay

Lovely house with nice facilities. Could hear the waves from the lake with the windows open. Beach is gorgeous. Access to the beach may be a challenge if you have mobility problems or small children. Steep drive to walk up and down as well. Overall very pleasant and enjoyable stay and would return and also recommend.

Above average size, secluded location. Needs a few updates, but we were satisfied for current cost. Take your own hand soap, shower supplies, coffee maker and toilet paper unless you want just basics.

Beautiful beach

So nice to be at a property that accepts dogs and is adjacent to a dog-friendly state park and beach. Access to the beach is private and proximate, but not a level walk for anyone with physical limitations. Best-stocked kitchen I’ve seen in a rental. Beds are very comfy and parking is plentiful. Family-friendly with high chair pack-and-play available. Very quiet.

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

We stayed here for LDW with 3 couples, including 2 toddlers and an infant. Good space for hanging out, playing games, cooking, etc. Large comfy couch and large kitchen table, so good for groups. We enjoyed the back deck and short walk down to the beach. We did pay extra for linens and towel service, which I think could be improved if we were to stay here again. Some linens had stains on them and the master bedroom set that was provided did not fit the size of the mattress.

Our stay at Whitefish Dunes Park was amazing. It was like having a cabin in the state park itself. We walked out of the back door and up the dunes into miles and miles of trails, or walked down the drive to miles of beach. The quiet was remarkable! The house was perfect for us - especially because we were able to bring our 3 dogs. The house is family friendly with a wonderful fireplace and game room. The dinning room has lake views as does the deck. The widow's peak gave us terrific views of the dunes and the lake. An awesome place! Paul Wilson of Ohio

Summer fun for two weeks

My family consisting of 6 adults and 3 children under 13 has a fun two weeks in Door County. The house is a brief walk to the beach ( not for people with mobility issues) and it is a wonderful large quiet beach on Lake Michigan. The kiddos were in heaven. The house had plenty of room for us to spread out and was well equipped with plenty of items to enjoy including a pool table and several televisions. The kitchen was also well equipped with everything you might need To prepare a meal We enjoyed the house and the large kitchen table where we could enjoy a meal together or the outside deck which also has a patio table to enjoy the weather. We also enjoyed being able to access the state park right at the end of the street

Wonderful family time

We had a wonderful Door County vacation. The home was very spacious and had lovely views from every room. The beds were comfortable. The dining area warm and inviting too. Lots of space to spread out or be together whatever your family needs. We did a lot of reading and card playing. The surrounding area is so quiet! It was just the reset we needed. The beach was so close so you could come and go easily from the house to the water. We enjoyed the climb over the dune to the view of the water. Perfect ! The Lake Michigan water was shallow pretty far out so you could easily cool off without too much worry. The state park next door was fantastic. We walked trails every day and hardly ran into anyone except the deer! The decks were relaxing to be on and have morning coffee. You can hear the waves rolling in from the front deck which was so calming. My kids enjoyed the use of kayaks and I am so thankful we could bring our dog along for vacation too. One of the better pet friendly stays we have had. My kids enjoyed the game room space and playing ping pong. The crows nest was a special spot and one night we had terrific clear skies for star gazing. If you enjoy nature and the quiet side of things, this can be a relaxing place to stay with your family and friends.

My Happy Place

Fred's home is truly paradise. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our quiet mornings (before the kids woke up), sipping coffee and taking in the breathtaking view from the beach. The kitchen, adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the picturesque woods, made breakfast a delightful experience. The natural beauty of the surroundings, including woodpeckers, deer, turkeys, cardinals, and bluejays, captivated us for hours as we relaxed on the wrap-around deck. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring restful nights. Being able to see the sunrise through the trees from the master bedroom was breathtaking! When we were not off exploring hiking trails, eating ice cream, or relaxing on the beach, we entertained ourselves with ping pong in the game room or reading in their charming sitting room. All five of us shared the sentiment of how much we adored Fred's house, making it the most memorable family vacation we have ever had. We can't wait to get back there next summer!

Great Host & Great Location; Would Recommend

We stayed at the Sand Dunes with our family of 4 and our friends' family of 4. It was spacious and enjoyable. Fred was a great host and quickly answered my multitude of questions. Overall, I would recommend this home. PROS: Fantastic location, lovely home, wonderful indoor fireplace - which was great for fall. The home was spacious, close to the beach and had great walking trails into the state park. CONS: We brought our own sheets to avoid the linen charge, this was fine, but a lot of work. I was well aware of this ahead of time but it is a hassle and I would prefer a home with linen's included. I would have loved to see this home in it's heyday (90's). The architecture is phenomenal and you can tell care went into building it. Today, the insides could use an uplift. Nothing is functionally wrong, but the carpet is tired, the woodwork is stained, the furniture is older, and the floors have seen better days. None of these, however, interfered with our great trip and, again, Fred was a responsive host! Thanks!

Family Reunion

The house easily accommodated the multiple ages within our group although the beach access is not handicap accessible. Hiking and biking trails available outside the house. Very quiet area with beautiful lake view sunrises

Family vacation

This was the 3rd year my family has stayed at this property. It easily accommodated the 7 adults and 6 children in our group. It is a lovely home in a more than lovely environment. Just a short walk to a private beach, but close enough to hear the waves crash on the shore from the deck. We will be back!

Beautiful beach and plenty of family space

A group of family and friends really enjoyed our time at this property. Then each was gorgeous and the home had plenty of room for our group. The private path to the beach was a bit longer rougher than we had expected which was difficult for the smaller kids, but the clean soft sand made it all worthwhile.

Fabulous Family vacation!

We loved this home! A beautiful woodsy setting, comfy and large enough for our family group of 12. The beach was really fantastic with kayaking and paddle board rentals adding to the fun. Wonderful destination home!

We absolutely loved the private beach, took lots of long walks both directions in the water the sand is amazing, loved being next to the whitefish dunes Park. Wonderful balconies all around the house for coffee or wine sipping. Very large house with lots of room lots of great space and we really appreciated that our dog was welcome. Also really enjoyed the bike riding in the area. Fred was a very nice host! We would love to come again!!
