Door County Beach House on Lake Michigan - Book Your 2026 Getaway Now!

Enjoy stunning views of Lake Michigan, the soft sand beach, star gazing and falling asleep to the soothing sounds of waves lapping the shore. Located on "the Quiet Side" of the Door County peninsula, the Door County Beach House is nestled on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, within walking distance of Whitefish Dunes State Park and Cave Point County Park. Walk to Glidden Lodge to dine overlooking the lake or enjoy a fish boil, burger or cold brew at The Hitching Post.


This year-round lake front home boasts a newly renovated first floor with spectacular views of the bay from upper and lower decks. Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has plenty of room for your family of six with a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room and living area with gas fireplace and a first floor master bedroom and bath. The second floor offers two additional bedrooms, a full bath and loft with room to spread out.

The large deck includes a gas frill, deck furniture and umbrella. Beach chairs are calling you to relax by the water's edge. Bring your own beach towels. A cooler, two kayaks, life jackets, an outdoor shower to hose off and 4 adult bicycles are available for guest use. And, if you need to check in, you're welcome to use the PC monitors and printer.

The house is exceptionally appointed with everything one could need, especially the kitchen. A peaceful spot on Whitefish Bay, so quiet, with a wonderfully wide sandy beach to wander on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful, comfortable home on a perfect beach on Lake Michigan. Walkable on road and beach to Whitefish Bay State Park and Donny's restaurant. Large back deck and table for eating, reading, and games. Condiments are available for guests. The owners were very helpful when we had a flat tire on departure day, suggesting we could stay until it was fixed. We would stay again.

Awesome Family Vacation

Overall this was a cozy home-great location and a perfect getaway for my family. The beds were comfy-kitchen is well stocked and the porch view is a dream! Quiet neighborhood and for July 4th week the beach was not crowded at all which was amazing!!! Owners communicated quick. We would book this home again.

Beautiful house, fantastic location.

The house is beautiful, comfortable, and fantastic for watching the sunrise. It's also tucked away from the main highways, so very quiet. Great amenities. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Will definitely try to stay here again.

Awesome lake home

We loved our stay here. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. The lake view is incredible, especially the sunrises. Check-in was simple, and the owner quick to respond to any questions. We hope to have an opportunity to return.

Great trip to Door County

My wife, daughter, and I spent a long weekend at this property and had a great time. The house is right on the beach, which my daughter loved. We also took advantage of the bikes and board games which made the stay more enjoyable. We were an easy drive away from all of Door County’s attractions. The property was exactly as the pictures showed it and it was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Sweet Retreat

A lovely home on the beach that worked well with 6, and was kid friendly. Many times there were three of us working in the kitchen and it was fine. Being open to the family/ living room was perfect for when we all watched the Olympics. I look forward to coming back again.

Door County June 2024

The property was perfect! The house was clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. The beach was amazing! So much beautiful sand and nice shallow water for swimming and wave jumping. I loved the proximity to Whitefish Bay Dunes. I was able to jog/walk there daily and hike the trails or head down to the beach. The availability of a family set of bikes was very nice too. We were able to take a family bike ride one afternoon:) This was my favorite home and location we have stayed at in Door County! Would definitely return!

Beautiful Stay on the Beach, Waves and All

The house was well cared for and tastefully done. Very clean. Comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Direct access to the beach. Sun rises over the lake and floods the house with glorious light. From the bedrooms, you can hear the waves crashing, lulling you to sleep at night. Blissful. Central to most locations in Door County. Thanks for a nice stay. I had zero issues during my stay.

Great Property in a Great Location

We very much enjoyed our stay on the ‘quiet’ side of the Door County peninsula and highly recommend this rental. We intentionally selected this location outside of the towns that can get crowded this time of year. The property was as described online - very clean and cozy with a super view of the lake and easy access to the beach. Mary Pat was easy to work with and provided lots of detailed information in advance of our arrival, so we could plan accordingly. It was a little too chilly for us to enjoy the lake, so we hope to return in the future and enjoy more of the amenities associated with the beach and the water. Thank you Mary Pat!

Anniversary Trip to Door Co.

My wife & I spent 10 wonderful days at the Door Co. Beach House celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with a private sandy beach on Lake Michigan. The home is close to everything in Door Co. including state & county parks for hiking, villages for groceries, restaurants & shopping, lighthouses, museums, etc. The house is very comfortable & well stocked with kitchen equipment, condiments, paper products, etc. While we visited some of the local eateries for lunch, we were able to prepare wonderful evening meals at the house while enjoying the view of the lake...either from the living/dining room or out on the deck. The owner (Mary Pat) was always very responsive to our messages, and she provided an abundance of helpful information about the house & the area. Overall, we highly recommend the Door Co. Beach House!

Wonderful beach home

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. There were 3 adults and 2 kids in our group. The house was immaculately clean and had a great layout. The kitchen was a dream to use and could accommodate 2 cooks at a time, making meal prep and clean up time easy and fun. The hosts have provided everything possible for a wonderful experience - many games, beach toys, bikes - we used them all! Our 2 grandchildren spent hours playing in the water and building sand villages. We played baseball on the beach, biked and walked, ate cherry pie and played Monopoly. Enjoyed an evening listening to music at the Hitching Post, had a fun dinner at the Island Fever Rum Bar, and great pizza at the Pizza Czar. This host was easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend this property and hope we can return next year.

Door County week during Fall Colors

I went with 3 friends to the beach house. The house is nice and spacious and clean. Big kitchen with a nice range of pans and utensils, so we cooked in and grilled some. The beach is right over a dune walk off the deck. We walked the beach every morning and night. The owner sent me a list of favorite activities (e.g. there's a supper club down the road, etc.). This was all our first time to Door Co, and we went all over--Edgewood Art Gallery, boat ride, Door County Distillery, and there were many very nice restaurants of all price ranges at the well known towns on both sides of the peninsula. There's bicycles in the garage, a deck to see the lake, and the lake is quiet on the Lake Michigan side. The owners (Mary Pat was my contact) were responsive to the few messages I asked. This was a very nice property (we pick a travel vacation every year somewhere).
