Water, 30-A, beach, fishing. Come experience the best of South Walton on the Choctawhatchee Bay. Centrally located in the heart of Santa Rosa beach, this “old Florida cottage” is tucked away just off 331 within walking distance of three restaurants. Updated and charming throughout, the views are a feast for the eyes!! Gorgeous sunrises, sunsets, and live oaks await you to view from the house or a large dock. It truly is “The Blessing at the Dock of the Bay.” So much so you probably will not want to leave to avail yourself of the rest South Walton has to offer: beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Yet, should you want to- it is all close by with easy access.

The dock is yours to use as much as you wish. The boat slip can be used for a fee. The upper deck of the dock is unavailable for use.
Please be advised, the entry area is a sunken space and requires a step-up to the kitchen and rest of the house. It is well lit to avoid tripping.

A stones throw to a beautiful restaurant on the water, easy ride to the beach, beautiful views, and a great dock to do some fishing. Had a blast!

Hidden Gem on the bay

Second time staying here and it was as perfect as last time. Beautiful location and great to have use of the boat lift. Perfect location to launch just across the bay. This is becoming one of our yearly traditions for sure!

Dream Vacation Property

The property has everything you could possibly need. Very clean and fully equipped home on the Bay. Very peaceful getaway. And the host Amy was great, always responsive and very helpful in learning about area attractions and eatery's. I would highly recommend and hope to get back there over the summer.

Blessings off the bay is our experience. Our time there was absolutely amazing. The home is immaculate just as the description describes. Awesome kocation

Property was comfortable and well appointed with everything you would need. Awesome location. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking in the bay. We’re even visited by dolphins the fist night. Amy was wonderful to work with and very responsive.

Beauty on the Bay

Everything was beautiful. House and property were well maintained. The property owner, Ms. Amy, was very accommodating. We enjoyed time on the dock watching dolphins and fireworks. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Outstanding

The location was of this place is unbeatable. Short walk to 3 restaurants with 2 bars with live music and short drive to the beach. The rise and sunsets on this Bay are nothing short of breathtaking, which we enjoyed everyday from the dock. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a good time. Highly recommend

Excellent Experience

I was looking for a place that had private access to water that would make fishing super accessible. Blessing does that. It sits on the flats l, so you can wade or paddle board for 100s of yards into the bay. The Red fish were hitting everything. We also got a bunch of cabs. Amy was awesome. The house was great. Location was great. We really enjoyed it.

Second time won’t be the last!

This was our second time at Blessing on the Dock of the Bay and it was just as special as the first. It’s so beautiful and a wonderful place to relax, SUP, float and decompress. The hardest part is leaving! Amy is the perfect host and always quick to respond to questions. We’ll certainly be back and are already counting down the days!!

Third time and certainly not my last!

This was my third visit and I will certainly be back. The bungalow is perfectly located and the bay so calming. It’s near things yet feels hidden away. Amy is the perfect host as well. If you’re looking for a spot to stay out of the fray where you can float/SUP away your routine, this is it. Thank you for another great week, Amy. See you next time!

The Bay is a Blessing!

We had a great time staying on the Bay! The view from the cottage is so relaxing. The house is spotless with lots of amenities. We especially enjoyed being able to bring our boat. Utilizing the dock and boat lift made fishing and other water adventures so convenient. There are three great restaurants within walking distance to the house. Amy is such a gracious host. She is very responsive and easy to work with.

A Little Slice of Paradise

Wow, what an awesome week we had. Just a short drive to some great beaches. We loved waking up every morning and fishing off the dock. Our two boys would fish while we sat back and enjoyed the sunrise. We saw Dolphins chasing fish in the shallows, we paddle boarded, and walked to the local restaurants. Amy was very responsive with communicating with us. The house is fantastic and we felt right at home. The majestic oak trees with Spanish moss brought us back to our time growing up as kids in Louisiana. What a wonderful week at a very special place. I would highly recommend checking out this location. We Loved It!!

Awesome vacation on the Bay!

Beautiful location with a dock on the bay. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay there. The property was furnished with all the amenities you could ask for and the kids enjoyed high-speed internet/Wi-Fi (of course!). The dock is well lit at night and has a water hose and electric outlets at the end. There is also a provided paddle board and lower deck for easy launching. The bay is fairly shallow in that area (~1.5 feet at low tide) but is full of blue crabs and fish. We brought our kayaks and went fishing around the area and caught plenty of redfish. We even saw dolphins chasing mullet fairly regularly. The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular and we looked forward to them each day. Shopping and beaches were only a short drive down the road; also, plenty of nearby restaurants to enjoy within walking distance. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely love to stay again!

Location, Location, Home-Away!

We have just spent over a month at Amy’s “Blessing at the Dock of the Bay” and we wish we could have even stayed longer as it became our home-away. In this month, we grew so accustomed to making and eating meals while watching the moods of the bay shift like the ever present pelicans flying about. A day would not be complete without at least one stroll to the end of the peer so that we could surround ourselves with the bay and the elements. In fact, a few afternoons were “lost” sitting on the property’s gravity chairs watching the pelicans feed and the boat traffic on the inter-coastal waterway. On the days we went exploring this wonderful area of Florida, it was always so welcoming to return to this home away from home. While renting VRBO’s we have found the responsiveness and flexibility of the property’s Host as being almost as important as the property’s physical amenities. In this regard, you can be assured that Amy was always ready to respond to any question or request. We are so happy that we found this property and hope to rent it again in the future!

Definitely a Blessing!

Where do I start? Amy is a very attentive hostess! She ensured that our check-in process was a breeze and welcomed us with a nice anniversary surprise. Although the pics online show exactly what’s available, they do the home no justice. Everything was beautiful! We did not go to the beach or any excursion as planned (we’ve been to SRB before) because the atmosphere was so relaxing. We only left to go to the store and walked down to the restaurant. We saw a few sting rays, plenty of fish, and even had a dolphin show! We will be back with the kids so they can experience the walk in the bay to the restaurant. Thanks again Amy for everything, and for sharing your blessing with us! 🥰

Nice stay at the bay

Property looks exactly like the pictures. It is an older home that has been tastefully updated and decorated. Great views of the bay and 3 nice restaurants in walking distance. Beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. The only problem we had was that the internet would go off and on constantly which also affected the tv connection, but we weren’t in the home that much during our stay.
