Slow Drain in Master Bathroom

Great Time!

The location can't be beat and it has a great view of the beach from the balcony. The condo furnishings aren't new, but everything was functional and comfortable.

Don't plan to stay here again

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is a bit tired and needs maintenance. Both bathtubs are really slow to drain and worn out handle on at least one of them. Hand Towel rack barely hanging onto wall in one bathroom. Unit was clean but there was a terrible smell (sour milk maybe) in main BR carpet on our arrival-we had to spray air freshener every day we were there. Sliding door to patio was very hard to open. Property description says they have cable tv, however they have smart tvs and not cable (and you had to log into you own accounts). WiFi never worked. Smart tvs were connected to the WiFi from another unit in the complex so someone was aware it wasn’t working before we arrived. Reached out twice to mgt co about wifi and they never responded. Emailed them after the trip was over about the issues and no response. On the plus side the location is great. However, we will look for a different unit in same complex or one close by next time we return to this beach.

Didappointment

Reviewer Comments: The exterior of the complex looked as though it had just been painted. Unfortunately when we entered the condo we were very surprised of the poor condition of the furniture. The finish on every piece of non-painted wood furniture was in extremely poor condition. Not even placements for the worn kitchen table until we requested them several times.!Refrigerator was making an extremely loud noise when we walked in. Freezer worked but refrigerator never did cool down and ruined the food we had purchased. Finally repaired w days after we had been complaining.l Efged of the walls were all chipped, definitely needing a paint job. Balcony offered 4 mismatched plastic chairs that should have been replaced years ago. We asked for kitchen towels and pot holders daily. Finally received them 5 days into our rental. We have rented beachfront properties for over 20 years on 30A at various condos ranging from 1-3 bedrooms and using various rental companies including Benchmark (formerly Garret), VRBO, etc, Response from Benchmark this year, regarding various issues, has been poor. In the past the office in Seagrove was always open on the weekend. This year sign on foot said “closed Sat and Sun.”. Who does that on the normal check-in days, especially during spring break. Phone call to number listed said to leave message but don’t call back leaving more messages as that will not improve service . Never did get a return call. I finally texted and did get a responsel 5 hrs. later. All I can say is that for spring break prices it was a huge disappointment and definitely will not return to Beachside. We also will think about whether or. Or we would use Benchmatk in the future

Needs some work

Reviewer Comments: I mentioned several of these to the management per a phone call but just in case that information didn’t get passed along here’s some details. Both ceiling fans were very noisy and appeared to be close to falling. The bathroom fan was not functional and even began smoking when turned on. It was raining, so the windows in the master bedroom were leaking profusely which caused the floor to be soaked. I’m not sure the dryer even works. The outside shower unit never worked the entire time we were there luckily there’s one right next-door which I’m sure they appreciated all the tenants using instead of their own.

It was very difficult to raise blinds, open sliding door and rid unit of humidity. There were bugs. There was a terrible smell in the smaller bedroom so bad we closed the door.Benchmark was notified of smell and sent someone to clean the rug in the bedroom. At first it seemed to help but within a few hours, the smell was back.2 as to satisfaction1 very dissatisfied to general condition5 for location1 for clean2 for management company- they did not respond about continued smell or presence of bugs

The property wasn’t as clean as it should have been and it was in need of updating. The property it’s self was very tired and worn out. I don’t mind old if it’s clean. Worst experience I’ve had with Benchmark! Also very limited parking and others who are not staying there occupied spaces for beach access. We had to park across the street several times.

Poor Managed Condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at our condo to see black mold in the ceiling and around the HVAC vents. The pillows were filthy, the rugs were filthy. The sliding back door would barely open, actually my wife could not open it. The master bath tub would not drain and the second bath toilet ran constantly and would not flush correctly. The Second bedroom smelt so moldy that we shut the door during the whole stay. The condo in general was not in good shape and we felt like we were staying in $19.99 a night motel somewhere. It felt dirty the whole time and we would have moved out the first night if we had somewhere else to go..Also, the hydrant to wash the sand from yourselves did not work also. I will try my best to avoid Benchmark management in the future even if it means staying at another beach.

Beach washed away and we were not told about it

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was terrible. The beach in front of our condo had completely washed away and was covered in drift wood, making it dangerous for us to even swim. We were not told about this at all. That is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I called to ask if there was anything that could be done- moving us, partial refund, etc and was told there was nothing they could do. I will never use Benchmark again after the way we were treated. We should have been notified that the beach was in the condition it was in and given a chance to cancel our reservation with a full refund.
