Beach House

The house was just what we were looking for given the size of our family. We could all be together and yet separate when needed. The house was a little dated but nothing that interfered with our stay. The king size mattress was wonderful, but the queen size ones were a little lumpy. The bedroom behind the kitchen did seem to heat up more than the others but fans were supplied. The beach was very close which was nice with a toddler and the pool was lovely.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are a group of seniors all single that vacation every year in HHI. We have been coming to HHI for several years. The home was most spacious, clean and well equipped from the kitchen to really everything. I was very unhappy that my check in time was moved to 5 pm. That’s nearly a whole day. I know for a fact that there had been no one in the home the week before. But we were not allowed in the home till 5pm! WiFi name was wrong along with the password. Another delay. The path to the beach is not easy nor quick. We won’t pick this house again. I’ve rented from the same rental company year after year. But not again.

Condition of some doors/locks/hardware and could use some updates or a handyman to resolve. Otherwise great property for a family environment. Would be great to have ramp access to beach boardwalk as currently stairs and partial platform is the means of access to the beach. If it could be extended and ramps on both sides, it would be good for carts/stroller access.

Large house in convenient location

Elevator was useful for loading and unloading, but we didn’t use it daily as it was pretty slow. Very convenient to the beach which was not the least bit overcrowded. Management was quick to respond to all issues.

Not Very Happy

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you don't want to hear the answer don't ask the question. 1st- there was no wi-fi or internet upon our arrival and we spent a large part of our first three days finding out why and waiting for Comcast technicians. Comcast can do nothing for a persone renting the home. There was no acceptable excuse for this. You really should refund some of our money. 2nd- We found there is a broken knob on one of the burner controls on the stove. 3rd- Several of the sliding doors in the bedrooms do not close and lock, these need to be repaired. 4th- The floors were dirty and grimy. The cleaning staff is not cleaning the home very well between rentals. These issue must be corrected.

We had to pull nails from the pool before the kids could get in and we had to check it everyday. The location had easy access to the beach and the house is very nice but needed some work.

Don't be fooled by the pictures

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For starters, the pictures they are using are totally inaccurate. There is a huge house blocking the view. We booked based on the photos provided. This house did not feel as luxurious as others we have stayed at. In general, we felt totally deceived and would not have booked this house if the pictures had been accurate. The real estate brochure had updated pictures so there is no reason for VHHH to be using the old ones. If you like matching dishes and silverware, or would like a storage container or two,then please skip this home. The towels and sheets were scratchy and most of the mattresses felt like they needed to be replaced. The dishwasher was not working properly. They did come out quickly to check it, but had to order a part. They did not offer us so much as extra dish towels while we hand washed everything for almost 3 days. We would not stay here again and we are also not planning to use Vacation Homes of Hilton Head again.

Balcony door on main level needs fixing or replacing.. only open so far or sticks - very hard to close. Overall the location was great but lot of issues with the house.

Vacation Homes of Hilton Head has top notch customer service & the house we stayed in was beautiful! Two families (4 adults and 4 kids) fit very comfortably in this house. It was a great property, and a very short walk to the beach. We appreciated the large refrigerator and kitchen/dining/living room space, and ample bed/bath space too! There are plenty of things to do at the house if needing a break from the beach (ping pong, cornhole, tons of board games, and a pool for cooling off in). While there were a few beach supplies (3 chairs and a few toys), you may have to bring or buy extras. Overall, a great property and would stay again!

Great location, close to the beach, perfect for families!

I would definitely stay here again. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the walk to the beach was great. I would suggest stocking the house with board games, cards, and books.

It was decorated nicely, was very clean, and very close to the beach! Enjoyed the pool every day and had a great view of the ocean even though it is close to the house behind it. There was an issue with the cable and internet that was taken of by Brittney at Vacation Homes of HH.

It ended up that it was only going to be two couples with kids. This house is massive and we each got our own floor, which was really nice. With the two garages, it was easy to store all our beach supplies. The swimming pool was refreshing and tucked in behind the house, it was nice that there was minimal sun. The walk to the beach was just fine since we were so close. I will definitely be back!

Hilton Head Dream

Great house for a group of couples celebrating an engagement! I wish the beds were queens instead of fulls but each room having their own bathroom was SUPER nice. We would definitely return!
