Secluded 5-acre getaway with Private Pool and Hottub - great views!

Our private, nature-drenched house is located between Auburn and Colfax CA is the perfect place to relax with the whole family. Enjoy the Hottub looking over the beautiful view of pine-covered hills, or dip in the private pool at your leisure. On the way to Ski resorts (less than 1 hour) and within proximity of conveniences, enjoy the privacy of nature while preserving easy access to all the things you need.

Our goal was to make a place that is easy for families with kids of all ages - we know what it's like to travel with your family. No need to run through the house, putting all the breakables up high - our house is kid-friendly! This is the best place for multigenerational family get-togethers or split the rental with other families and have a nature get-away.

Sitting on 5 acres, there is plenty of land to explore and engage in nature. The pool is the perfect place for the kids to splash and adults to relax. The house has two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and two bedrooms, one bathroom downstairs, and two separate kitchens. There are tons of nooks for kids to play and explore, both inside and out.

-Primary Bedroom with a large master bath
- Huge great room, where everyone can gather and hang out
- Swimming pool (fully fenced and gated, of course!)
-Hot tub
-Kids bunk room: sleeps 6 for the ultimate slumber party
-Outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows and campfires under the stars. Complete with a dedicated water hose next to the fire pit for ease putting out the fire (Always check if its okay2burn that day)
-Propane fire pit if it’s not ok to burn
-Kids play areas indoor and out: a playhouse, nature play areas, a huge deck, and of course, the pool. Lots of toys, puzzles, and games inside.
-Movie room with huge TV for a fun movie night

We provide the supplies for up to one week; for guests staying longer we ask that you provide your own supplies after this point.

Perfect Mountain VacationOur family of 5 adults loved staying at this beautiful home in the mountains. So many amenities. Inside: great kitchen, big dining table, lots of cozy seating for everyone, Wry nice bedrooms. Outside: hot tub, fire pit, pool and amazing views. The host communicated so well and was created a very welcoming experience.

Peter was a wonderful host. The house was warm and welcoming with everything needed for a 10 day stay. The weather was perfect, all warm fall days. The pool was cold and refreshing and the hot tub was wonderful in the evenings while we star gazed.

My husband and I celebrated our 60th birthday with our children and grandchildren. The house was perfect for all of us, including our four small grandchildren. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had no problem cooking all of our meals over seven days. The beds were very comfortable and our grandchildren loved the bunk room. Perfect getaway for a family!

Impressive accommodations

We had family in town for a memorial and there were multiple large areas for people to play games, talk, and be alone concurrently. Host was easy to communicate with and accommodating. We'll keep this property in mind next time we have family in Colfax. Location about 5-8 minutes off the freeway

Amazing stay

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO property! The house was spacious, clean, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Its location was perfect — nestled in nature, offering a peaceful retreat, but still close enough to groceries and restaurants for convenience. The kids had an absolute blast with all the amenities. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing yet convenient getaway!

Sixteenth birthday weekend

Our kiddo brought up a group of close friends for her birthday and the space was just right. It was nice having the upstairs for the adults and the downstairs for the teens. Nice hot tub, great views, well appointed kitchen. It was too cold for the pool but looks great for the summer. Responsive hosts, I’d stay here again

Plenty of room for families

Home was clean and comfortable for our family. Between the deck, hot tub, main kitchen, sitting area, and lower tv room, there were plenty of spaces for people to hang out. Families with small children will want to take care with the stairs to the lower level - we just made sure to keep an eye on the kiddos. Host had great communication and really made a difference in our stay. It's in a quiet neighborhood and the grocery store is not far off. We enjoyed our time here and hope to be back.

Perfect!

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. We were in a heat wave, so the pool was perfect. My dog had a great time exploring the property and sniffing everything in sight. It was quiet and very relaxing, especially watching all the golden eagles flying above. Would definitely love to come back next summer!

Wonderful family reunion spot

The house was beautiful and perfect for our family of 3 including our 7 year old, my husband’s sister and her husband and my husband’s parents. The pool and hot tub were awesome, plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. It was very kid friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for our needs. The host was absolutely amazing in fulfilling all our requests. We would all love to come back and stay longer!

Amazing cliffside house with pool, views, and plenty of space

The house was great, the pool was great, the views were great! this place has truly no negatives. with a kitchen upstairs and down, its the perfect place to grill out and enjoy the pool. the pool has a spectacular waterfall and a nice "shallow end" for those who prefer to just sit lazily under an umbrella. the hot tub was nice too. everything is in great condition. Best of all was the housekeeper who graciously invited us into the downstairs as they finished upstairs despite us arriving a bit early. There were a few nice gifts waiting for us including a bottle of wine and some fresh watermelon. Remote setting but easy to get to. Would for sure stay here again.

Amazing getaway home

So nice we booked two extra nights! We had such a magical week on this beautiful property. Pete was a gracious host making our trip easy and seamless. The house was very clean, well cared for and stocked with everything we needed to feel comfortable in our home away from home. The location was also the perfect escape from city life. An oasis in the forest but close to nearby attractions and minutes from shopping and restaurants. However, we opted to make use of the large kitchen and cooked most our meals together at home so we could enjoy the scenic views from the deck. We definitely took advantage of the outdoor amenities this property had to offer. Each day started with a dip in the pool and ended with an evening star gazing in the large hot tub. Can’t gush enough about how much fun we had, only problem was we couldn’t stay in town any longer!

We love the freedom vacation rentals afford and can't wait to share ours with you.

Nature and glorious views abound, with much to do and explore. The hiking in the area is amazing, as are the relaxed wineries, gold-country, and the American River. We know you will love it here.
