Everything about this rental was amazing! The location is perfect, a short walk to five excellent restaurants and a short ride to resort amenities. The views are unbeatable: we watched sea turtles frolic just feet from the seawall every single morning, followed by incredible sunsets. The condo is updated, comfy and well stocked for everything from beach outings to home cooked dinners. The pool is a plus for late afternoons and the AC critical on hot, sunny days. Tom and Lauren are EXCELLENT hosts. My family already misses this place; we look forward to a future visit!

Watching turtles and listening to the surf from your own lanai are great bonuses to this property. Parking is very convenient and the proximity to Lahaina is great.

Perfect location with everything needed for a great vacation

We stayed at this sweet little condo for our first big Family vacation and to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The location was perfect with amazing views and every amenity we needed including snorkeling gear. We have two small children and we were perfectly comfortable and beyond happy with our stay and the hosts went above and beyond even after we left to communicate with us. We plan to try to stay here again on our next visit to the island in the future!

Fantastic Experience

Tom & Lauren’s condo was a dream: perfect location, very comfortable beds (all with a view) and a balcony that you never want to leave. The walkability factor was superb; Kaanapali & Baby Beach, downtown Lahaina, and super close, local restaurants were regular destinations. We hope to be back!

Lahaina getaway

We've stayed at several places in Maui but were always reluctant to stay in town but this place was perfect! Easy walk to several restaurants and grocery store and one mile to town. Our condo was nice because we were on the end so had windows in all rooms. So close to the crashing waves that we had to close all windows at night but still able to hear the lovely sound. Would stay here again!

Can’t get any closer to the ocean!

We loved staying for a week at this condo with our toddler. The view from the lanai is insane, we saw whales, turtles, fish, and a manta ray. Condo was comfortable and well-equipped. We appreciated the beach stuff and used it almost every day (toys, chairs, cooler, umbrella). Location is great, we could easily walk to restaurants and the grocery store. Downtown Lahaina was a short drive. We had a couple needs/questions during our stay, and the host was responsive and took care of us immediately.

Feels like Home Away from Home

Lauren & Tom’s condo is like a dream come true! It’s views and proximity to the ocean and adventures of downtown Lahaina can not be beat! Lauren and Tom have thought of everything when it comes to conveniences and comforts of home! This condo has everything you will need or want while on vacation in paradise! The whale watching, honu watching, sunsets, coffee drinking and cocktail hour can not be beat at the best view imaginable from their lanai. We feel blessed to be able to stay here! We continue to come back to this condo time and time again because we feel it’s the best! We have stayed at other condos on the West Side of Maui and this is always our top pick! Mahalo, Lauren & Tom

Amazing Maui Vacation!

My family just got home from an incredible 10 days on Maui, staying the whole time at this condo. At the end of the trip, my youngest asked us what were our top 3 things from the trip and almost all of us put the condo itself on that list, if not the top listing. From watching the whales from the lanai, checking for turtles to go down and watch even closer (but not too close!), playing in the pool (to get away from the sand for a minute), walking to restaurants or just Safeway and easy driving anywhere around the island. We just couldn't get over any of it. The condo itself is also incredibly well provisioned with anything you might need from kitchen wares to bathroom needs to even weights for a quick workout. :) It made it so easy to feel right at home from the start. The views in both directions were incredible too! Whether the mountains to the east as you're walking down the outdoor hallway from the elevator or to the west from the lanai - you get the best of both Hawaiian worlds; the mountains and the sea. We're already planning our return!

AMAZING views!!!

This place is absolutely amazing and exceeded all of our expectations! I was a little nervous after reading a couple reviews regarding the broken elevator, but Tom and Lauren went above and beyond for us to make a comfortable stay for us and accommodate our needs! And then halfway through the week, the elevator was fixed!!! Walking up the steps wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be anyway. The condo is better stocked than any other place I have ever stayed! Look around in the cabinets before you go grocery shopping! The beach chairs and snorkeling gear was a huge plus. The pool is wonderful and was the perfect easy entertainment for the kids. The property manager, Andi, is super sweet and helpful with anything on-site as well. Tom and Lauren could not have been nicer or more helpful with any need we may have had! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again. We all felt stress melt away as soon as we sat on the lanai over looking the most beautiful views. We saw humpback whales and sea turtles every day while sipping our coffee on the lanai each morning. This place is heaven and I cannot say enough good things about it. Thank you, Tom and Lauren for sharing your special place and providing us the most wonderful vacation that we will remember forever!!

We had an amazing stay at Tom & Lauren's condo. It was very comfortable and was well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The snorkel gear and boogie board came in handy too. The view is breathtaking from the moment the sun hits Lanaʻi till the last rays of light set between Lanai and Moloka'i. Even then, the stars and boat lights provide beauty. We saw many honu from the lanai since the water was so clear. The pool was the perfect temperature and we enjoyed it daily. We would definitely recommend this place! We recommend: hula and/or lei making lessons (Hawaii Hula Co), snorkeling with Pacific Whales Eco Adventures, Maui Pineapple Tour, sunrise at Haleakala (dress like it's 20 degrees out), Ali'i Maui Outrigger Canoes, Nakalele Blowhole, and 'Iao Valley. Food: poke (poke-ay) from Tamura's Fine Wine (so fresh!), Island Cream, loco moco, kahlua pork, poi, laulau, lomi-lomi salmon, Mauna Loa macadamia nuts. Notes on Hawaii: Make sure your sunscreen is truly reef safe (the ingredients are the only way to determine this - it's not by seeing "reef safe" on the label). Pacific Whale dot org has info on the banned ingredients. Our Favorite Place to Stay on Maui! We rebooked for next year before leaving!

We recently returned from our favorite condo on Maui. Tom & Lauren (the owners) were wonderful to work with & quickly responded to our texts. In our opinion this condo has the best panoramic view of the ocean and neighboring Lanai & Molokai islands. We enjoyed many hours on the roomy lanai enjoying the honu (sea turtles) feed in the ocean in front of the condominium & the whales with 3 binoculars that are provided. The accommodations are wonderful for 2 couples or a family with a bedroom that has 2 single beds that can be locked together (per request) for a couple. The condo is well stocked with everything you may need. There is AC, but we never used it. We love having the windows open to hear the ocean. We just kept the sun shades down during the day and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms on at night. The location is perfect as there are 5 great restaurants (Mala, Honu, Fridas, Star Noodle & Fu Lin (for great shrimp fried rice)) just a short walk away from the condominium. The Cannery Mall with Safeway are just across the street from the above named restaurants & The Old Lahaina Luau (our favorite!) is just across the street from the Cannery Mall. The start of downtown Lahaina (with all the shops & restaurants) is just a mile away and a great walk. Baby Beach by Mala Pier is ~1/2 mile away. The size of the entire condominium complex makes you feel like you are experiencing old Maui without being sandwiched into a large tourist area. Everyone we have met over the multiple trips back to this condominium complex are genuinely kind. There is free, 1 stall parking, on the ground level (like most places on the island it’s a tight squeeze so take your time and let your passengers out before parking). The condominium is just 4 flights total with this condo being on the 3rd floor. We loved the new keyless, touch button, door lock and the beach decor in the condo. Mahalo again, Tom & Lauren for everything! We can’t wait to come back next year, God willing!

What was once a lovely retreat is now disappointing

I have stayed at this property multiple times and loved it but this last visit was a disappointment. The owner recently passed away and a new couple owns the condo. What was once a good value has a higher rate and a new additional fee. Some other key issues: - This condo is on the 4th floor and the elevator has been out of order for more than a month - and they did not bother to let us know. My 76 yo mom with severe arthritis in her knees had to walk up four flights of stairs just to get to the condo. The lack of an elevator limited her ability to join us when we went out, making our vacation less enjoyable. Also, having to schlep all of our luggage and groceries up and down all of those stairs was a workout I didn’t need while I was on vacation. - Air conditioning has been added to the unit. I thought this was great news…until we sat on the lanai and were blasted by warm air blowing directly at us and a fair amount of noise from the a/c unit that now takes up a good portion of the lanai. What was once the best feature of this condo is no longer a quiet, enjoyable space. Also, the air conditioning only works in one of the two bedrooms. - The unit was not clean as it has been in the past. The floors and the baseboards were actually visibly dirty when we entered the unit and I spent the first hour of our stay sweeping each room with a broom that has seen better days and wishing they had a mop. Later, I moved my bed away from the wall to plug in my phone - the amount of dust and someone else’s garbage I found was gross. - There are little black gnats that roam the kitchen counter. I didn’t see them at first because the countertops are dark - but was cutting up fruit and a couple of them hopped on the cutting board and then I started looking around and saw them - gross. We ended up having to toss some groceries on the counter. - There are no luggage racks for your suitcase in either bedroom, so those ended up on the floor. - Little things like a wiggly toilet paper holder, a kitchen cabinet piece to the right of the oven being broken, dingy and scratched up bar stools and cheap, worn bath towels and wash cloths irritated me - why haven’t these things been taken care of?! When I pay more than $3,300 for a weeks stay, I expect that I will arrive to a clean, peaceful retreat with an operational elevator. There are many lovely high-end properties in Lahaina and Kaanapali that will offer you a cleaner space at a better value. Keep looking.

However, we attempted to reach you three times in the weeks before your stay to offer you the same courtesy that we have been offering all of our guests- a full refund if the building’s elevator would be an inconvenience to you or a family member. We did not hear back from you, and we did not receive one call or message from you regarding the complaints listed in your post during your entire stay with us, or anytime after. We pride ourselves on being Premier Hosts, and would have done whatever is necessary to ensure a seamless stay with us had we heard from you directly. Regarding the rest of your post: The AC was installed by the previous owner, who you mentioned staying with in the past. This type of AC is the only way to provide air conditioning in a building like Lahaina Roads where central air is not able to be installed. Many units in the building do not have AC, and we are proud to be able to offer that to guests who choose to use it. I visited the condo after your review to find the AC working in both bedrooms, as well as the living area. The cleaning service is the same cleaning service as used by the previous owner during your previous stays. We kept her on board with us because she provides impeccable service, is hardworking, loyal, and takes great care to detail. Your review also drew some additional concerns. For example, there are 4 luggage racks provided, 2 in each closet. The barstools were also owned by the previous owner and have since been replaced. Our kitchen is cleaned and disinfected fully after each guest, including countertops and all cooking areas. We always appreciate honest feedback. We have shown by our actions towards those guests who choose to communicate their concerns during their stay that we will go above and beyond to create a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Lovely Waterfront Unit

The unit is beautifully updated and very well appointed. Everything you need is there and very comfortable. The building is older, but well maintained. The view is fantastic. The location is convenient, but it's a long walk to the main area of Front St. The grocery store and several restaurants are very close walking distance.

Home Away From Home

This place has it all! All your beach need (umbrella, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, sunscreen, cooler bags, boogie boards, chairs, etc.). Spices, dishes, pots & pans, coffee pot and anything you may need to cook, grill or dine in. Everything was clean and we had a washer and dryer to wash things if we needed. Something we didn’t take into consideration when first planning a stay was that we like air conditioning. Most units in Hawaii don’t offer air conditioning but Tom and Lauren have gone the extra step to make sure this unit has air conditioning units throughout to keep the unit cool. Tom & Lauren were extremely responsive. The smoke detector battery went dead and they had 9-v batteries delivered within 30 minutes of us letting them know. The views of Lanai and Molokai are breath-taking and it seemed as though the sea turtles liked swimming just outside of the lanai so we had constant sightings of the turtles. The condo was so close to restaurants, shopping and beach access that you could drive in 2 minutes or walk in 10 minutes or less to everything. The pool was a nice feature to have when you don’t want to go far to catch some rays or take a dip. We will definitely be planning to stay here again on our next visit.

Perfect spot to enjoy Maui

Beautiful condo in a great location! Decor is very calming, all the necessities are there for cooking, going to the beach, and relaxing. You are a short drive (3 minutes) to downtown Lahaina. There is no beach directly in front of the condo, but Baby Beach is a short drive and the perfect place to snorkel and soak in all that Hawaiian goodness. You can see Sea Turtles from the lanai. We enjoyed it. Thank you!

Perfect for a Family!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Lahaina! The ocean view, and especially the sunset, from the lanai is just as beautiful as shown in the online photos. Being able to see and hear the water at all times made the entire trip feel very special. The unit is tastefully decorated and well stocked with towels, cooking items, beach and snorkeling gear, etc. The two bedroom situation was perfect for our family of four. The individually controlled air conditioning units in the bedrooms and main living area made living comfortable during our summer stay, although we also enjoyed turning off the main AC unit and opening up the windows and slider to let the breeze through and hear the ocean. The pool and grill area outside is nice with tiki torches that were lit every night at sunset. Baby Beach is within easy walking distance, but there was also parking available if you wanted to drive the 1/2 mile from the unit. The steps down to the water in front of the building allowed me to go snorkeling at high tide using the gear in the unit. Lahaina is a great town. There are plenty of tourists, but it has a completely different vibe than nearby Kaanapali, which is full of high rise resorts and a modern looking shopping mall. We much preferred the smaller, old-style feel of this historical whaling town. The unit is just far enough from the tourist areas to feel somewhat isolated, but it is still within walking distance or a short drive to the main part of town. Lauren and Tom are wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to ensure the condo had everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze using the instructions that were provided shortly before we left for Maui. They are highly recommended!

Amazing view!

This condo was everything we wanted it to be and more! It had everything we needed and stuff we didn't even know we needed! We saw turtles every day from the lanai. The sunsets were beautiful! There are amazing restaraunts within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Stunning!!

What an amazing place to stay! The thing that made a huge impression on me was that this truly felt like someone’s home. Many places we have stayed are furnished to a bare minimum with cheaper decorations/furniture including the need to buy every condiment, paper product, dishes, utensils, glasses, toiletries, and recreation items. This home had everything and more. The owners were generous and very responsive to our every need both before and during our stay. We will never stay anywhere else in Maui. There’s air conditioning, 2 bedrooms, a lanai overlooking the ocean where you watch turtles every day, falling asleep to the ocean, etc., etc.!!!! Thank you Tom and Lauren!!!
