Large open living space with fully stocked kitchen, dining room and desk area to work remotely if you need to. Generously sized, fully fenced yard for your fur babies, with a patio and picnic table. Well appointed, with all the comforts of home, and bright open space. Walk 2/10 mile to a private beach. Streaming enabled TV and wifi included. You'll never want to leave!

COMMUNITY AMENITIES: Easy access to private Saybrook Manor Association beach so swimming, boating, and all kinds of CT shoreline activities are at your fingertips!

OUTDOOR LIVING: Patio table and chairs for 6. Folding wagon to take to beach, beach towels.

INDOOR LIVING: Smart TV, dining table with seating for 6, breakfast bar with seating for 2 more, full size bathtub, plenty of closet space, iron and full size ironing board. Playing cards, Uno and puzzles.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, microwave, Keurig, drip coffee maker (including complementary coffee and tea), cooking basics, baking sheets/dishes, complimentary spices, dishware/flatware, lobster pot and accessories (shell crackers and shrimp forks).

The cottage was very nice, clean and comfortable. The location was wonderful near restaurants and the beach. Check in was a breeze, absolutely no issues. We had a great stay and would stay here again.

This cottage was the perfect size and location for my husband and me to enjoy a quiet getaway. Mornings and evenings spent on the private beach with ospreys hunting overhead were a particular treat, and Harvey’s Beach is just a five minute drive away. We love visiting Old Saybrook and this property made it all the more relaxing.

Loved the location of this cute beach association property just steps to the beach. Comfy couch and bed, a/c kept the house nice and comfy in a heatwave! Host was easy to communicate with and was able to accommodate an ask.I always pack a poker strip when I amTraveling and was glad I had it here, one minor suggestion from my partner, descale the Keurig. I don’t drink coffee so it had zero effect on me !

Lovely cottage - dog friendly

My son goes to boarding school nearby - this place was great for me and the dog for a couple days. Big fenced yard and water and food bowls were there for use! The dog and cleaning fee were almost more than the stay, so it makes more sense for longer stays (I was only there two).

Comfortable, Clean, Cozy Cottage

Clean cottage, more spacious than it looks. Perfect fenced back yard for family pets. Quiet neighborhood and easy walk to beach. Stayed at this cottage for a month as our home needed some repairs. Extremely comfortable for my husband, miniature poodle and I. Hosts were very gracious and accommodating!! Would have stayed longer if available.

Great baby moon getaway!

Amazing property and relaxing weekend! 😄 Host was accommodating and responded promptly. Disappointed with accuracy of listing regarding the spa tub and picture/listing of canoe. Planned a canoe day and was unable due to no canoe on property. Dog loved the yard and enjoyed her stay too!

Cozy and peaceful getaway

We loved this getaway! The house was cute and close to the beach and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and perfect for walks and bike riding. We would definitely stay here again.

5 stars! Listing doesn’t do it justice!

My family of 4 including two toddlers plus our dog had a fantastic stay! The cottage is much bigger than it appears in the listing. The bedroom had plenty of space for a pack ‘n play plus a toddler air mattress. They had every amenity we could need and the house was immaculate. We enjoyed grilling and the fenced in backyard. The beach wagon was awesome! Short 5 minute walk to the beach with a couple other beaches around the corner. We loved walking out to the sandbars during low tide. Everyone in the neighborhood was also very nice. Wonderful stay, thank you!

Perfect Old Saybrook Cottage

This was a perfect house near the water. Friends dined with us on 2 occasions. The house was equiped with everything needed for preparing dinner. Instant hot water in the shower! We will be back!

Weekend getaway

Perfect for a serene getaway. Backyard is spacious and the home is cute and cozy. Everything you could need was already there and the location is so close to local eats and everything.

Travels With My Dog

The dog yard was a hit with our pup. Great neighborhood for walks. Enjoyed ourselves despite the rain, which fell on the nuptials we celebrated. Great place for anything!

Fun beach cottage

We had a great stay in this very cute and cozy beach cottage. Our 2 dogs loved the fenced in back yard and made us throw a ball for several hours over our 3 night stay! The location is great with only a few steps to the beach and close to town for anything you may need. The kitchen was very well stocked and the washer and dryer were a nice bonus! The hosts were very accommodating when we requested an early check-in and were very responsive. We will definitely stay again.

Weekend Stay

What a cute little piece of heaven! My husband and I visited for the weekend for our anniversary and it was such an amazing weekend. BONUS…perfect for our two pups too!! The house is on a quiet street (no barking dogs to stir them up) and they have the perfect fenced in yard so the dogs can run around freely. The house is so close to so many things (downtown is like 4 minutes away). We ate dinner at Liv’s and saw a show at The Kate, both amazing! The beach unfortunately isn’t dog friendly but when it’s low tide you can walk out with the dogs on the sand bars (I would recommend some floaties and water shoes, one point it was pretty deep and the sand is squishy and shelly). We had a great weekend!

Local Little Getaway

My family of 6 plus 1 dog stayed for a week. We loved the cottage, it was cute, cozy & clean. YouTube video is exactly how it is, if anything we thought it was bigger than pics. We ended up using the sleeper sofa and brought a queen size air mattress which fit perfectly in the bedroom. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. A perfect walking neighborhood. Lots of shopping, restaurants & grocery stores nearby. The only con we had was the beach at the end of the road was very very small and not water you would want to swim in. If just wanna sit at beach it would be fine. We ended up driving to Soundview in Old Lyme everyday which was a very short drive away. Maybe 10-15min. (Which we didn’t mind doing). I definitely would recommend this place for others and will keep this listing for future renting despite the beach at the end of the road.

Month stay at cottage falls short.

Rented for a month. Place was filthy. At least 10 photos were sent to the owner who showed up to remedy the problems and suggested a deep clean which was done. Deep clean should be done after each stay esp if pets are involved. Cleaning supplies were almost none existent. Was scolded via email for requesting trash can liners and bathroom spray. Owners stated they provide only 1 weeks worth of dry supplies. Should not have to buy or bring cleaning supplies to a rental. Left on day 14 as family members began to have allergy/ respiratory issues and did not return. I'm sure lessons were learned re: this rental for all parties involved. Cottage was advertised as newly renovated. I see that the write up was changed to read new furnishings and re painted.

Vacation

Me and my two adult nieces and our little Schnauzer doggie enjoy our vacation in old Saybrook, Ct very much. The cottage was perfect for the three of us, spacious, clean and accessible to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The backyard was perfect for the doggie to run and get exercise after a long car ride. The only disappointment was the beach, it is many steps to the beach and very small and the dog was not allowed. I would stay again if I wasn’t planning on going to the beach.

Quick change of scenery to end school year

Wanted to get away to celebrate the end of school but stay close enough to get teenagers to work. This was perfect. Really appreciate being able to take the dog with us.

Quiet Serenity

This small cottage has recently been renovated and is an open concept design with an abundance of windows which create a bright and airy place. One bedroom with additional sleeping options in the living room on a pullout couch or futon. The kitchen had the basic supplies you would need if cooking a meal. The bathroom had ample room with a nice shower and a washer/dryer. The fenced in backyard allows for privacy and a safe place for your dog. The gas grill was clean and appears to be fairly new. Many connecting quiet streets allow for great walking and biking through safe neighborhoods. Many of the beaches within walking distance are very small but there are larger public beaches about 20 minutes in either direction. It was a great size for 2 adults but I think it would be overcrowded with the 6 it advertises for.

Sweet spot

We needed a quiet space to cater our daughter’s surprise birthday in the next town. This little cottage is on a quiet lane with the ocean at the end of the lane. The house had all we needed. The back yard has a place to sit and soak up the sunshine, and would be great with little kids. As it is fenced in. Thank you !
