Driftwood Cottage~ Walk to Moody Beach from this gorgeous three bedroom, two bath cottage located in the highly sought after family neighborhood of Bourne Fields in Wells. Completely renovated inside and out for the 2023 season. This charming cottage sits on an oversized lot with plenty of off-street parking, central air and a stunning sunroom. It has three bedrooms and sleeps seven. Two bedrooms are outfitted with queen beds and the third has bunk beds and a trundle. There are two full baths and an outdoor shower. For added fun this house comes equipped with beach items such as two new surfboards and two beach cruisers. Seven minute walk to Moody Beach and five minute walk to restaurants/bars/ice cream. Come enjoy your vacation and all that the beautiful Southern Coast of Maine has to offer!

Very cute cottage

Driftwood cottage is very cute,quiet and clean. The owner was very responsive to any of our questions that we had during our stay. The cottage had a lovely outdoor space with a nice fire pit so plan on a nice fire or two during your stay. Enjoy driftwood cottage

Nice location. Problem’s with the older TV. Confusing light switches. Electrical should be checked. No dressers. No hand soap in one of the bathrooms.Appreciated the use of bicycles.

Great stay

Great beach vacation. The house was perfect for our family, about a 12 minute walk to the beach, but closer to 20minute walk to the big open beach- across from the parking. So peaceful and quiet and we loved our stay.

Beautiful Beach cottage

Really nice propertie, very clean, well located 9 min walked from the beach. Communication with the owner is very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great beach cottage

The cottage is such a great location! Easy walk to the beach so you don’t have to get up early to get parking or pay for parking. The house has everything you need, the shed has a beach cart, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and surf boards and 2 bikes to use. We especially loved using the fire pit at night and the outdoor shower is great. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Looking forward to booking again for next year!

Just perfect

Cozy, spacious, spotless cottage which is walking distance to the beautiful moody beach and short drive to Ogunquit shops. Thus far enough to relax and enjoy family time without heavy traffic and large crowds. Just perfect!

Great home in great location.

Driftwood Cottage was the ideal vacation home for my husband and I, daughter, son-in-law and 5-year-old grandson. Initially, we wanted to stay in Ogunquit, but couldn’t find a place due to it being 4th of July week. We were so happy we stayed in Wells and will do so again. Ogunquit is too crowded and congested for us. It’s a convenient drive in to sightsee and shop, but we were happy to drive back to quieter Wells afterwards…the neighborhood and beach scene especially. Still many restaurants, ice cream, and fun spots nearby. The house is very clean and accommodates extended family. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. The backyard is beautiful and semi-private, with an outdoor shower, gas grill, patio area, fire pit and lots of room for lawn games. Communication with the owner is prompt, friendly and professional. The air conditioning units were very appreciated during our stay. The kitchen is well stocked; it’s obvious that much thought has been given to guests’ needs and wants. There are games, puzzles and books if you’re looking for that. We would love to stay here again.

Wells holiday

We had a fantastic week at Beth’s newly renovated house. It’s a super clean cottage within walking distance from the beach. Our family especially enjoyed eating in the sun room and spending time in the backyard. Beth was a great host and she left us great food recommendations. If we come back to Wells, we would definitely like to stay at her place again!

Amazing stay in Wells!

Everything about this beach cottage was perfection! Our family especially enjoyed the large sun room, where we played games and feasted on lobster! The fire pit was a great touch and helped to facilitate great conversations and found memories of all the trips our families have taken together! The surrounding area met all our needs with regard to our different interests (hiking, biking, beach, shopping). Overall I rate this property 5 +++ stars! The Smith & Ross Family - July 2023

Loved our beach getaway!!

What an awesome weekend! We booked last minute and so grateful that we did! Easy check-in and Beth was great at communicating with us ahead of time for our stay. Such a beautifully decorated beach cottage! Everything was so clean, with comfortable beds and great outdoor space! Our favorite was the backyard patio and fire pit! Looking forward to booking a week next summer! Thanks again for a great weekend!

Great location

The house was comfortable and ideally located. The owners were very responsive. The only constructive comment would be to improve the pots and pans. No large skillet of large stock pot.

Wonderful Stay at Driftwood Cottage

Just back from a great trip up to Maine and this house was perfect for our family of five for a week. The cottage was just redone so everything is new, clean and very comfortable. Its in a terrific neighborhood in the Moody/Ogonquit beach area and a short walk to the beach, or a few minutes drive with easy parking if you are bringing chairs, boogie boards, etc. The owners were super nice, incredibly responsive, great to deal with and gave us some nice local tips on the area. We definitely hope to be back.

Perfect location for a beach getaway

We had a mix of generations with a toddler, parent and grandparents all in the cottage. The back "dinning" room was used often and our favorite part of the cottage. The cottage itself was spacious and decorated with care. There was very little we needed as the space was well equipped. The neighborhood was adorable and perfect for family walks in a quiet environment with little traffic. Would definitely stay here again.

loved the trees and listening to the birds

we come to Wells since about 50 years always at the northern tip of the peninsula. mostly looking west we had a beautiful sky with changing colours and the beach across the road. So this is difficult to beat. This years environment was new to us. What we liked very much was the space around the property for play and balltrowing,etc. The interior was ok renovated and very spacious. What was listed as a bedroom was ok for kids but not appropriate for adult privacy. The access to the ocean was close enough to reach by foot but unfortunately space was limited by homeowners on both sides restricting access. Owners were very helpful. With children we would consider coming again.

Poor housekeeping and sewer issues

I waited sometime before replying to this survey, to give myself time to collect my thoughts on our stay. Beth the owner did reply to my requests but not in the way one would expect, for instance: 1. I let her know that under the trundle bed was filthy and I asked where I would locate a broom. Her reply was oh sorry I will have to talk to housekeeping and told me where I should find a broom. The refrig. was dirty along with the fronts of the dishwasher and stove, we didn't have children with us and yet the appliances where loaded with little handprints. The beds had to be made when we arrived, her reply was this way you know the linens are clean, but yet the top cover was on the bed and when we left she only asked for us to put the sheets in the washer and start it. SO did the top cover ever get cleaned? We expressed there was a STRONG sewer odor she said oh sorry we never had that concern, also the back bathroom was clogged and had to be plunged you couldn't open the bedroom window facing the back yard as the odor was terrible. The washer left my clothes with a half full tub of water and soap again she said oh sorry it never happened before. Yet never did she offer to send anyone over to the cottage for any of the issues, At the end she sent me a text saying how can we make things right, I believe this was in an effort to keep a good review,,,I myself have offered my florida home to snowbirds and would never react this way to my quests for any of their concerns.

No Hassle Beach Rental

A great rental for a family looking for easy access to the beach and the many restaurants in the area. Clean and well appointed. Quiet and spaceous yard area. Enough off street parking for 4 cars. Great communications with owner. Worth the price of the rental.

Great Wells home!

We loved Driftwood Cottage! Plenty of room for our family of 5, great bunk room with trundle bed so our 3 young kiddos could sleep together. The bunk room is attached to the master which worked great for our family. The outdoor shower was a hit for all! The property was clean, very well decorated and had a fully stocked kitchen. The neighborhood is great for walks or bike rides and the beach is a quick drive or bike ride away. The owners were lovely and responsive. Overall great stay in Maine, hope to be back next year!

Driftwood Cottage Delivers Delight

My family and I just spent a delightful week at the Driftwood Cottage in Wells, ME. The Driftwood is warm, cozy, clean and bright; the sea foam and white color scheme in each room including the spectacular sunroom is beautiful. Every corner of this home reminds you that you are definitely at the sea. The huge farm table in the sunroom afforded us with plenty of room for meals and game nights. The new patio off the sunroom with its large comfy lounge chairs, a private outdoor shower, and a fantastic grill is where we really spent time just relaxing. It was wonderful! The beach bikes were a Blast too! Look forward to staying here again someday!

Relaxing, enjoying family time, and visiting one of our favorite areas.

This house is very bright and clean. The house is fully equipped. We enjoyed the new patio. We like the option of grilling and having some meals with the at home feel. Having a washer and dryer is very convenient. We also enjoyed the bikes. The property also had 2 beach chairs and everything needed for the beach. The beach was a short walk and the beach wagon made it easy to carry everything. The hosts are very responsive to any issues that come up. We really enjoy the Wells area. We visited Kennebunk, Ogunquit, York and Kittery during our stay. We would certainly stay here again.
