This split-level condo is located on the 3rd floor with great air flow. Tastefully decorated and meticulously cared for. It’s fully equipped with washer and dryer for your convenience. The master bedroom has a king bed and a full bathroom with spectacular view of the ocean. The guest bedroom has two twin beds and a full bathroom with lush green view of the mountain. There is a half bathroom on the first level. This top floor condo has a premier view of the ocean. Appreciate the nature’s beauty such as gorgeous sunsets and whales breaching during winter months…. these can all be seen from your condo. Enjoy the property’s amenities such as pool, Jacuzzi, barbecue, and tennis court. Well known Poipu Beach Park and other fine beaches are within walking distance. Famous golf courses, shopping, and restaurants are just minutes away.

We loved our stay in this condo! The best part was waking up to the ocean views and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks every morning! It got a little warm inside in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows, so we closed the shade which helped a bit. The evenings cool off nicely and the bedrooms have the AC units which are nice. The swamp cooler in the living room didn’t do much so we didn’t use it. The pool is not heated, so it’s a bit chilly but you can still get in. The kitchen is well stocked and we even cooked several meals at home which saved us a bunch of money! The only suggestion I would make is maybe putting cotton or bamboo sheets on the beds instead of polyester so it’s not as hot! But otherwise, our stay was amazing!! The turtles on Poipu Beach were the best part!! And the snorkeling there is great, too! Oh, and the sunsets!! Wow!! We will definitely be back!!

Views were gorgeous, beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. The hot tub was too hot for us to comfortably go into, that was our only disappointment on the trip.

Nice property with a beautiful view of the ocean. Enjoyed evening sunsets out on the lawn. This was exactly what we needed. The bbq area was tucked away at the front of the property by the parking lot. Appreciated the unit being stocked with beach supplies (cooler, beach chairs). Great communication from owner. Would stay in this unit again.

Nice property with partial view. We attended conference at Hyatt nearby and it was short walk away. Free parking . close walk to beach at hyatt or other beaches. close to restaurants and stores. 10 minute drive to grocery store. went to farmer's market one day. Helpful communication prior to arriving. wifi service was slow. Older property with two levels. kitchen was fairly well stocked. better air conditioning downstairs would be helpful. portable air conditioners in two bedrooms upstairs. Has some issues with things already broken when we arrived (bathroom door/trash compactor / soap dispenser /flooring slightly splintered). lockbox was problematic to close again when we left. we had to leave message with manager. overall nice stay and kind manager who responded when we called. We appreciated the thought that there were boogie boards/beach towels/snorkel gear available should we have wanted to use it. Also helpful to have washer/dryer on property . Thank you!

I really enjoyed this condo with my family, specially the ocean view. We found everything like the post description. It had two portable A/C units, one in each bedroom ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, and two portable fans. The apartment manager was very responsive and welcoming. There is plenty of beach gear including chairs, 2 umbrellas, goggles, tennis rackets, and plenty of house supplies.

The VRBO description is deceptive. “Air Conditioning” is listed three times in amenities. Only once is the accurate description of “portable AC units in bedrooms only.” The living room, kitchen, dining area, hallways, stairway and bathrooms ARE NOT air conditioned. We left after one night.

Beautiful views

Ocean views are fantastic. Unit has a good location within the property but know that there are many many flights of stairs so bringing in groceries and luggage requires some work. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. House had all the beach chairs and coolers you could use. It was very hot during our stay and the bedroom AC was essential. There is no AC unit in the main living area. There is a portable swamp cooler but we did not attempt to set it up.

Comfortable, spacious condo with a lovely view that we enjoyed every morning and evening from the deck. Beds were comfortable, beach chairs and cooler were so helpful, and tennis court was a bonus! Pool is beautiful and was often busy, but most people were thoughtful about following the pool's usage hours. So grateful for the lovely welcome gifts when we arrived! We purchased few basics for the condo (salt, plastic wrap, extra dishwasher tablets) which were easy to find at local shops. Sophia was so kind accommodating, and just wonderful to work with!

Beautiful views

The spot was perfect for beach and food spots. We had family close by and could walk to their house. The host even was able to book us another night unexpectedly and allowed us to extend our check out time since we had a sick kid.

Great stay, exactly as advertised!

Excellent location, well equipped kitchen and very clean. 4 beach chairs available and several boogie boards which were wonderful to have. Would stay here again and would recommend to others!

Property in Disrepair

For the first time in all my years of booking with VRBO, I am giving a poor rating. Our condo (#2308) at Makahuena as well as the property in general is in disrepair. The window and door frames are rotting, the lanai's are being supported by blocks of wood screwed in to the lanai lanai frame and the entire condo smelled of strong mildew - I assume due to the carpet that runs up the stairs and into the bedrooms as well as a closet just inside the door that was jammed with beach equipment. Additionally, the closets in the bedrooms were stuffed with cushions to the extent that we were unable to open/clost the closet doors and the A/C units in the bedrooms sound like freight trains. Perhaps the one redeeming quality was the pool. Nothing fancy, but was in good shape and we used it several times. I would never stay here again or recommend this property to anyone.

Great location - but condo is dated and worn

The place is decent, but it’s really showing wear and tear. All the mattresses are terrible. It’s pretty obvious that the owner doesn’t actually use this and is just an investment. The management is good and responsive. It was clean as it could be, but rust and worn cabinets, windows and doors make it feel less so. Air conditioning is only upstairs. It can get very warm downstairs even with a good cross breeze, but you have to leave the front door open, so I wouldn’t want to sleep down stairs with only a screen door. The AC units in each bedroom are very loud, but they do cool it off. We didn’t sleep well the whole time due to the mattresses and loud AC, which is frustrating for a 10 night vacation. The location is great and the complex is quite, well managed and well kept, but also showing its age. We would stay in the area again, but not at this unit.
