Estevan/Willows House

400 steps from the beautiful sandy willows beach. Willows beach has great swimming in the summer, kayaking, paddle boarding, and it is a real paradise. The home is well equipped, bright, quiet and has ample entertaining and outdoor space. The yard is very private yet sunny, two decks, perfect for outdoor cooking and entertaining. The rear yard is secured to keep your pet (woof) safe and secure. The posted rates cover the fully equipped two bedroom one bathroom top floor however downstairs space is also available upon request. Down includes a newly renovated bathroom, living area (including kitchenette), and one additional bedroom. The owners utilize this space when they are not travelling. Local bylaws only allow 30 day + rentals, early departures can be accommodated.

Great Place

House was perfect for our trip to Victoria. Clean place with an amazing backyard. Close to the bay and downtown. Highly recommend especially if you have a dog. Good communication from host.

Estevan/Willows house was the perfect retreat for our family during our stay in Victoria. The neighborhood is charming, offering walkable parks and convenient beach access. The house itself was spotless and well-equipped, providing everything we needed. Its location is ideal, with easy access to both downtown and UVic.

Great stay, amazing location

We had a great stay at this property. The owner was incredibly accommodating, easy to communicate with, and very friendly. The house is in an amazing location being so close to the village and the beach. Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Thanks for everything :)

Wonderful location and home

We stayed here for our daughter’s graduation from UVic. Location and amenities were perfect for our family. Appreciated the proximity to Willows Beach and Cattle Point as well as Estevan Village. Especially appreciated the back yard and dog-friendly space. Clean and bright. Great hosts! Thank you!

Location, location, location.

Lovely garden and sitting area.Perfect house for a couple as only one bathroom otherwise a very comfortable ,sunny and warm home.Short walk to beach and to village. On a very quiet street in a quiet area. My husband and I were very happy there. Hosts were very nice and approachable if needed.

A Charming, Magical, and Restorative Getaway

The property is on a quiet and beautiful tree-lined street, an easy walk to Willows beach or Estevan village. We (two seniors) had a wonderful week here, exploring nearby Cadboro Bay and Cattle Point as well. The house itself is a comforting and restorative place; the layout, amenities, and flow of the house works well - can't pinpoint exactly why, but it works! Finally, the hosts were wonderful - easy to communicate with, friendly, and upbeat. We hope to return. Thank you!!

Quiet neighborhood, great location.

This place is located on a quiet street which is great for those with young children. Willow beach is a few minutes walk. House could use a little deep cleaning and especially kitchen. Make sure to check all rooms and drawers to keep any breakable Knick knacks away from kids.

Great location. Nice yard. Well appointed.

Fantastic location in Oak Bay a block from the beach and from restaurants and cafes. Very quiet. Well kept house with a nice yard, bbq and patio furniture. Clean and well appointed, including kitchen equipment. The combo tub/shower has high sides and is glassed in, making it difficult to use for older people or people with poor balance. A walk-in shower would have made the place perfect.

Piano camp at UVic summer 2024

This was our second stay in this house for the same event, a one-week piano "camp" at UVic. Great location near UVic and two blocks from the water. You can walk to great restaurants nearby or cook in the well-equipped kitchen. The entire house is air conditioned but it stays cool on its own due to shade from ancient trees in the yard. Our host invited us to pick the raspberries growing in the yard. We had a wonderful time and will stay there again next year.

Beautiful Oak Bay Home

We have stayed at many VRBO’s over the years, and Rod’s home truly stands out. The two large bedrooms had very comfortable beds, with great linens. The kitchen is FULLY equipped, making meal preparations easy. The rental is the entire top floor of a lovely heritage home, and it is quite spacious. Two large skylights make it bright and cheerful, and the fireplace in the living room made for a cozy room to watch TV, and relax.. Set in a lovely quiet neighborhood, you are a few minutes walk from Willows Beach. An outstanding accommodation. We will most certainly return.

Great house for a relaxed stay

Thank you for a great stay. It's a clean, comfortable, family-friendly house. While we picked it for its proximity to friends and family in Oak Bay, I'd recommend it to any family looking for a quiet place to explore Victoria. Just a block from a great beach with excellent bakeries and small shops, you're minutes away from direct bus routes to downtown. Parks abound and there are countless easy walks to new playgrounds and rock pools to keep small people busy. The house was surprisingly well equipped with everything you might need from beach towels to an air fryer. The backyard was a surprise and we enjoyed spending our evenings watching the sun go down as we watched the hummingbirds feed. Thank you for an easy, uncomplicated stay. Emily & Tony

Well-Appointed Home in Beautiful Neighbourhood

This home is a lovely place to spend some time. It's moments from the beach and in a quiet, beautiful neighbourhood. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you might need, right down to a meat thermometer and silicone basting brush. The master bedroom has ample closet space, soft bedding, and comfortable pillows. The living room has a fireplace that my cats enjoyed for hours. There are little extras throughout the house, like a magic bag and beach towels in the hall closet. The backyard is gorgeous and well cared for. The owners of the home went above and beyond to make my longer stay incredibly comfortable. They made sure everything was set up how I liked it before I got there. They were reachable and helpful. In all, it was a great stay hosted by lovely people.

Week Getaway to Paradise

Excellent location, not far from the beach and close to Estevan Village. Quiet street as well. The house had a decent sized kitchen and we were grateful for the air conditioning spread through a number of rooms in the house during the brief heat wave we experienced while visiting. Rod and Winona were very good in communicating regarding check-in and during our stay, and were always available to answer our questions. The house has two separate bedrooms (one w a/c in it) and a sofa bed as well. We did have some issues with the TV/internet. The TV would freeze at points, and the internet seemed to have a limited bandwidth (which we noticed only because my husband was working remotely during our stay). Rod was helpful with these issues, but we couldn't quite seem to resolve them during our time there. Overall, we had a nice and relaxing stay and loved the proximity to some of our favourite neighbourhood stops! The location, quiet neighbourhood, and friendly hosts make this a great place to stay on your visit to Victoria.

Home away from home

This lovely home set in a gorgeous residential area is easy walking to restaurants in Estevan Village, and Willows Beach which is a beautiful beach with sand for the kiddos or sun lovers. Locals gathered on the beach or the nearby Willows Park to watch the sunset. Uplands Park a block from the house has some gorgeous greenery and walking trails where you can get lost and explore or follow the trail to where it pops you out at the Cattle Point area overlooking the bay. We were able to walk everyday and explore different routes each time, and when we felt like a different view of the ocean, walked over to the Oak Bay Marina and the Oak Bay hotel for dinner. Downtown is about 10 minutes drive away. The hosts were great and easy to contact, and we had the upper level of the house all to ourselves (there is another bedroom and bathroom downstairs that can be rented also, which we didn’t this time). The master bedroom has a king bed and the other bedroom upstairs a double. Plenty of closet space and the air conditioning was really appreciated! My family and my dog loved the amazingly private back yard full of beautiful plants and even fruit trees! We had access to the bbq and seating on the deck or under a covered patio off the house. We’ll definitely be back and would recommended this accommodation to anyone who wants to get away from the busy downtown Victoria and try something a bit quieter. Thanks Rod and Winona for a fantastic stay!

The location of the property is beautiful. We sat in the shady backyard for many hours reading books and taking in the assortment of flowers. If you like quiet walks on the beach and beautiful parks, this is the place for you. Quiet two bedroom home with modern kitchen and open living room with big windows allowed us to relax immediately. Loved the warm bathroom floor as well. Host made everything easy and convenient. Hope to be back again soon.

Perfect Location

We had a great visit to the Victoria area and the house in Oak Bay was a perfect location. It is a very short walk to the beach and just a short drive to downtown Victoria. The neighborhood is so quiet that we slept very well. The backyard was a great place to sit and read. Rod was very easy to communicate with and very helpful with suggestions for restaurants to try and activities around the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your space!

Loved it all!

Winona and Rod were helpful, easy going, respectful hosts. Location was unbeatable for us - one of Victoria’s nicest neighborhoods - Estevan in Oak Bag has amazing walks, beach, shops, village, parks, restaurants. House was uncluttered, clean, tidy, simple. Beautiful backyard and very comfortable beds. We loved it all!

Oak Bay Gem

Great property in a very quiet location. Easy walking distance to Willows Beach and Estefan Village. Very friendly and helpful owners. Would definitely stay there again.
