Welcome to our beautiful condo, overlooking Ma’alaea Bay on the south side of Maui. Located in the oceanfront condo complex, Menehune Shores, it is only steps to the beach. Our condo is professionally designed and decorated, including everything to make your stay luxurious and comfortable.
The unobstructed views of Ma’alaea Bay are perfect for whale watching or enjoying a sunset cocktail on the lanai. Menehune Shores is in North Kihei, centrally located in one of South Maui’s most popular destinations. Its’ prime location offers convenient access to shopping, world renowned beaches, restaurants, activities, beautiful Wailea and historic Lahaina.
Luxury is the key word for this unit, as every detail has been meticulously thought of to enhance your experience here in paradise. From the moment you open the front door you are greeted with endless views of blue Pacific Ocean. When you lie down at night you are cocooned by high end linens. The constant breeze through the unit keeps it cool and quite nice throughout the day but if you prefer there’s air conditioning in the unit.
Our guests tell us that our kitchen is stocked better than theirs at home, which please us! We have provided quality cookware, dinnerware and drink ware, and all the little touches to make your stay relaxing. If you want to prepare meals you’ll have what you need. Kihei and Wailea have wonderful and diverse restaurants, including a fabulous Indian restaurant right on the property, otherwise.
Adjacent to the resort is the visitor center for whale sanctuary, created by Congress in 1992 to protect humpback whales and their habitat in Hawai’i. The sanctuary, which consists of the shallow waters surrounding the Hawaiian islands, constitutes one of the world’s most important humpback whale habitats. The visitor center offers an excellent opportunity to learn about marine life conservation. We feel privileged to have this visitor’s center right next door.
In front of the visitor center and the entire complex is the historic Ko’ie’ie Fish Pond, also known as The King’s Fish Pond, dating back to the 1500’s. According to local legend it was build by the Menehunes, known for their strength and ability, and said to have built the pond in just one evening. The adjacent beach, Kalepolepo, is loved by locals and visitors for its’ safe and shallow gentle surf, ideal for children and those who enjoy the calmness.
As you enter the complex, there is ample complimentary parking. Majestic palms, lush tropical foliage lead you to a beachfront swimming pool with large sun deck. The on site restaurant and lounge are conveniently located on the first floor, a popular place for sunset dining. There is a rooftop area with full kitchen and barbecues, ideal setting for your gatherings. And the good news: as our guest there is no added fee for using this rooftop facility. Just reserve the space and enjoy your 180 degree ocean views.
