Located on 20+ private acres in the Russian River Valley. Lazy Lightning Lodge is your private oasis while exploring Wine Country. Newly renovated pool & yard, this property is full of entertainment & amenities w/ plenty of outdoor lounging space. Two story home, 4 bdrms, 2.5 baths in main house, poolhse has a full cold water only bath, 2 wraparound decks, upgraded kitchen appliances, open living room floor plan. Parties & events are not permitted. Occupancy limit of 10 is strictly enforced.
Lazy Lightning Lodge is a hidden gem, with an in-ground pool, separate hot tub. Relax and rejuvenate in privacy, LLL is nestled in a sylvan amphitheatre filled with 20+ acres of private redwoods, a large meadow and fruit trees. While Downtown Guerneville, Russian River beaches, world-class wineries are just a quick stroll or drive away for provisions and recreation.
LLL has 4 bedrooms (5 beds total + sofa sleeper, sleeps 10 max occupancy) providing plenty of common area to hang while also having enough space for everyone to relax in their own zone.
The inviting kitchen, dining and living room encourages guests to join in on the cooking while the media room is equipped with a Samsung 65-inch flat screen smart TV with Dish satellite TV and major streaming apps (Netflix, Prime, Disney+, HuLu) and a SONOS sound system. Two wood burning fireplaces downstairs and one wood burning stove upstairs in the primary bedroom to add to the cozy conviviality's.
Each bedroom opens to the upper wrap around deck with ample seating areas with a couple macrame swing chairs overlooking the pool or into the forest. Vibrant original artwork and distinctive furnishings and decor add to the remarkable character of Lazy Lightning Lodge. The entire house is approx. 2235 square feet.

By Booking Primary guest acknowledges a $950.00 Security Deposit Hold (SDH) will be collected 2 days before arrival (an email outside of Airbnb with a secure link to enter credit card details will be sent, if Booking on VRBO security deposit hold information is collected at time of booking), the SDH will be returned 3 days after you depart after final inspections have been completed, no items are reported damaged or missing and there are no additional cleaning fees. Important please note: if booking via VRBO or Direct Booking site and guest cancels within the refund window there will be a 3% cancellation fee applied. If SDH is not submitted 2 days before arrival, access instructions will not be shared until submitted. Declining SDH may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiting monies.

House Access:
The main door to the house has a keyless entry. Access codes are provided approx. 2 days before check in.
Cameras:
Cameras are located on the exterior of the property: by the parking areas, front and back entrances and pool area. Cameras are installed primarily as a theft deterrent. Cameras are not monitored and should not be relied on for personal safety. Cameras may be used to verify compliance with Vacation Rental Rules and Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy:
The property has a maximum number of 10 overnight guests allowed. No more than a maximum of 2 DAY visitors per day (12 guests total during the day, 10 guests total overnight) Tent, Camper, RV, van, or car camping is prohibited.
Driveway:
The driveway is an unpaved, one-lane curvy hillside road, however no special vehicle is required to approach. Detailed written driving directions will be sent to confirmed guests.
Accessibility:
Lazy Lightning Lodge is a multi-story home with several exterior staircases from the ground level to the main living areas deck and an interior staircase from the main level to the upper level where the bedrooms and full bathrooms are located. There is a half bathroom on the lower level of the house. Throughout the property are brick, gravel, stone and mulch walkways that are not paved. This property is not ideal for guests that are not sure-footed.
Fencing & Owner's Cabin:
The pool area is fully fenced with several latching gates. Much of the rest of the property is open forest. There is a fence and gate (last photo) between the house and the owner's cottage. We respectfully ask that guests not cross the yard in between the main house and cabin nor fence or gate to explore the area around the owner's cottage.
Pool:
LLL has a large, newly renovated in-ground pool. Swim at your own risk, there is no lifeguard on duty. Unsupervised children are not allowed.
The pool is not heated. Absolutely no glass around the pool. Broken glass near or in the pool will result in extra charges.
Pool House:
The bathroom in the pool house has a cold (only) water shower for rinsing off before using the pool or hot tub. As a result, it is not included in the total number of full bathrooms in the listing.
Laundry:
Washer & dryer are available for guest use.
Bedrooms:
Primary Bedroom: 1 king bed, Two Queen Bedrooms and One bedroom with two twin beds (can not be pushed together). Total of 4 bedrooms, Total of 5 beds, + living room with pull out sofa sleeper, sleeps 10 people maximum.
Bathrooms:
Main house has 2 full baths: one ensuite in the primary bedroom (shower only) and a full bath in upstairs hallways with a tub shower. Lower level has a half bath in the laundry area. Poolhouse has a full bathroom with a cold water only shower.
Linens:
One set of bath linens per person (one bath towel, one hand towel, and one wash cloth). Basic body wash is supplied (pls bring your own personal toiletries). Pool towels are provided and are not to be removed from the property, please bring your own river beach towels (do not take pool toys, house towels, linens, blankets off property).
Each king & queen bed is set with 4 pillows, duvet, flat and fitted sheet, decorative pillows and blanket. Twin beds have 2 sleeping pillows, flat & fitted sheets, duvet, and decorative pillows.
AC:
There is no AC in the house. Pro-tip: Keep doors and windows closed during hot days to keep the inside of the house cool. Open up house after sunset to ventilate. The wrap around porches helps keep the house cool.
Heat & Fireplaces:
The home is equipped with a Nest thermostat. Heat registers are only downstairs. Upstairs bedrooms have portable electric heaters in each closet. The primary bedroom, living room and media room also have wood burning fireplaces/stoves.
Firewood is not provided. You can purchase wood at Ace Hardware or Safeway. Please make sure chimney flue is open prior to lighting a fire and make sure all fires are extinguished and doors closed before going to bed or leaving the house.
TV/Music:
Samsung 65-inch Smart TV w/ DVD Player, Dish Satellite TV equipped with most streaming subscriptions: Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney+, Apple TV. Home is equipped with a SONOS sound system that you can hook up to with your own streaming music. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited by county law. A small Bluetooth speaker can be found in the bookcase in the media front living room for guest use.
