Spacious Family Friendly House, Close To Trails and Mackinac Island Ferries!

A beautiful home in a quiet little neighborhood 15 miles away from the bridge and Mackinac Island ferries. This house is a perfect spot for families, friends, or just a couple that wants a quiet place to rest their head. Located just off M-123 close to recreational trails, Mackinac Island ferries, Brevort Lake boat launch, and sand dunes for swimming. Compete with all the comforts of home. Looking for something closer to town? Check out our three-bedroom house located in the city of St. Ignace.

Just a quick word about our cleaning practices. We have implimented the same cleaning practices at this home as our other short term rental property. After every guests stay we are disinfecting all heavy traffic surfaces (door knobs, faucets, remotes, cabinet handles, fridge handles, etc). Also all linen, weither used or not, is washed, sanitized, and changed. We are doing all we can to ensure your stay is a safe stay. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask. We also leaving hand sanitizer and a bleach cleaning spray for guest use.

The ORV trail is literally steps from the home. So this is a great location for those wishing to snowmobile, ATV, or fat tire bike down the miles of trails that the Eastern Upper Peninsula has to offer. Please let me know if you are bringing a trailer, especially in the winter, so I can plow a spot for it. If your trailer is really big (more that 2 sleds) the gas station in Moran (about 1/4 mil away) allows you to leave you trailer there. They do that figuring you will be purchasing you gas and necessities from them.

We have Starlink internet in the home. You should expect speeds of 200-300mb/sec while connected to the WiFi.

Also in full disclosure we do have a 3 security cameras that records outside the home.
1 records the driveway, 1 records the back yard, and 1 records the back doors. We feel this is a needed security since we do not live on site.

Wonderful stay with gracious hosts who were excellent with communication. The house was clean and perfect for our toddler. Not only were there toys for him to play with, but the added bonus of cups, plates, and silverware for him and his cousin made the trip that much easier for family dinners. There were plenty of chairs inside and out for campfires and family dinners and it made it a great gathering spot for other family members who stayed in St. Ignace to come and enjoy an evening. Perfect for a families.

It's a lovely home and thanks for sharing it with us.the only thing I would suggest is the lighting at the front entrance some additional lighting, making it easier to see the steps at night. Overall my group enjoyed your home and would recommend it to others.

Great location

Had a great time in the eastern UP and this was the perfect location. Love that the back yard is mostly fenced in for the dog. Apple trees in the yard! TV in every bedroom! plenty of space to spread out. Everything was nice a clean. WiFi was fast!

Greg was a great host! The space was great for our mini family vacation with 6 adults and 2 kids. There was only one bathroom which we had to work around but the location and price was worth it! Not too far of a drive to St Ignace to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island and have more dinner/lunch options.

Perfect place fir travel around the U.P.

We had a girls trip to the U.P. and booked Greg's house. It was perfect. We were with 2 hours of anywhere we wanted to go. The house is charming and was very thoughtfully stocked. There are fans in every room to help with cooling. Water pressure is great and the hosts were very nice. I forgot to write in the guest book, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful paradise in the Upper Peninsula

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The hosts are communicative and thoughtful, and we felt right at home. The house was spotlessly clean, and all amenities were top notch. The beds were SO comfortable! One evening was a bit warm, so the air conditioning units were very appreciated. We can’t wait to stay here again; this will be our first choice for the Upper Peninsula from now on. :-)

Fun weekend in Moran.

The house is great, well stocked and very comfortable. We spent a lot of time in St Ignace and on Mackinac Island. Check out the King Fish Market next door to the house for lunch, it was great.

The UP!!!

We stayed with family in this beautiful country. This house provided all the comforts of home. The host and his wife provided all the amenities that we could have needed. And we had plenty of room for the 1 year old to walk and of course, an adult to follow repeatedly. It was very quite and we hit the area when the leaves were changing. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home!!!!! I highly recommend this home.

Great starting point for eastern UP adventures

Checkin was a breeze and the property was lovely. It is in a quiet little community and we didn’t encounter any neighbors on our trip. The kitchen was stocked with the necessities for cooking. Beds were supremely comfortable, in my opinion. As noted in the listing, there is not central air, but opening the windows provided good airflow as well as the provided fans. The only con of the home is some creaky floorboards, but that was only an issue as we have an infant who is a light sleeper. Check out was quick and easy. It was refreshing not to have an hour’s worth of chores to perform prior to check out like some short term rentals! Our trip consisted of visits to the Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, and Mackinac. All of these are within an hour and easy drives. Overall a fantastic experience and I would certainly stay again!

Off the beaten path

Was a great stay. Was nice to be close to Mackinac Island but not have the hustle of being in town. Close to everything and very convenient off I-75. Nice to have four queen beds, they are very firm, just be aware. Nice fire pit and yard area. Overall a nice stay.

Anniversary Vacation

My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary. The house was perfect, very well equipped, and in the perfect location. We had so much fun! The black stone grill was also a very nice feature. We will definitely be back!

Good Stay

This was a nice place to stay while we were vacationing in upper Michigan, mostly because it provided a lot of space for the family and it's in a remote location. The kitchen was outfitted really well. With that said, the house was a little warm in the afternoon (only two, room air conditioners). The house, overall, needs a little attention: The kitchen cabinets didn't stay closed, which was a little annoying. One of the doors to the deck didn't open unless forced. One of the structures in the backyard looks like it is about to fall down. The ceiling fan at the top of the stairs doesn't work and one of the other ceiling fans starts to rock when on a high setting. My wife and I slept in the bedroom with a room air conditioner and it was difficult to sleep with it loudly cycling on and off all night long (I ended up using ear plugs). It's all stuff we could live with, but temper your expectations. My wife and I felt very safe to go jogging on the country roads every day. It's a really nice area.

Close to everything you’re looking for!

The experience was great and the house was lovely and they had everything we needed and Greg was available if we had any questions! The house was close to most of the things we wanted to do! 15 minutes from the city and then a ferry to the island which was not much longer. If you’re not sure what to do they provide a binder with so many activities. We a more than likely to stay again! 😊

Family Get Together near St. Ignace

Pleasant base for exploring Upper Michigan in spring. The 4 bedrooms were useful for 3 family group. Kitchen was well provisioned and provided all most needed items durign our stay. Living room was large and comfortable.

Nice little place
