This place was perfect for our family of 4! The location was amazing, walking distance to everything we needed and a short drive to lots of fun things around! The host was very helpful and communicated early and often! We would definitely stay again!

The property is cleaned and stocked . The view is nice and the patio is nice to sit out on. I needed something and the management took care of it right away. The air conditioner works great

Our stay was fantastic. The view of the ocean just feet away was amazing and the unit itself was clean and cozy. Would recommend to anyone.

The view and location can't be beat. Except the a/c condenser is on the Launui and is loud and creates heat. However the broken a/c and lack of communication about it before we arrived were a problem. We were told to sleep in the living room on the fold out couch until a window unit was brought in. When we went to open the sofa bed there were plywood boards under the cushions so we opted out of opening it up. Later in the week cockroaches were found. Had the host let us know ahead of time could have tried to figure something else out. But it was late and we arrived from a 12 hour journey. New furniture and ac system as well as silverware would go a long way to making the place much better.

Guest complained to VRBO and this is what VRBO response team replied. I wanted to reach out regarding your recent stay with us and to address the concerns you have raised.The host has informed me that when you arrived, the AC in one bedroom—which is one of the three AC units in the entire unit—was undergoing repairs. To ensure your comfort, the AC company provided a portable AC for that room the day after your arrival, as they needed to order a part. Considering the busy season with hurricanes and tropical storms, they have been quite swamped with repairs.At that time, the host generously offered you the option to move to another room, with a full refund of their portion if you chose to do so. However, you indicated that the portable unit would suffice for your needs. Also, on Thursday, without any prompt from you, they took the initiative to provide a one-night refund, including tax, for your stay. We understand that you have now reported concerns regarding cockroaches. While we regularly schedule pest control as part of our maintenance on this tropical island, we recognize that these issues can arise. Given that this is the first we are hearing about the cockroach situation towards the end of your stay, we believe the responses provided so far have been fair. Nonetheless, we truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to improve your experience in the future. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.

Great stay and location!

This place is in a perfect location. The TVs need some updating but overall the place was great! We definitely would come back and stay again. The owner is very responsive to any questions while staying there.

Loved being right on the ocean. Also love that the Papakea resort is so close to everything. Furniture in the condo is a bit dated, we didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen is well equipped. Ocean front bed was very comfortable. All in all a wonderful 9 days in beautiful Maui.

The condo provided everything we wanted and needed. The view was spectacular, and the lanai furniture was perfect for viewing sitting and relaxing. Rachel was a very prompt and accommodating host throughout the entire rental process. We had stayed at Papakea on one other occasion, and we really like the location and pools and grounds very much. Amazing stay! The condo was clean, spacious, and right on the ocean. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and having coffee with stunning views from the porch. Fully stocked with everything we needed and in a great location close to Lahaina, restaurants, and snorkeling. The property is beautiful, the pools and grounds are well kept, and having no resort fees was a huge plus. Internet is fast too. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect stay

This is the perfect place to stay! The view from the unit is incredible, waking up to whales swimming in the distance and the sounds of the ocean was so amazing. Close to everything you need and want to do in the area, I will definitely be staying here again. The host is very responsive and kind. This could not have been a better stay!

Family Maui Trip

Great Views!

Amazing spot! Highly recommend staying here. The condo could definitely use a refresh of upholstery, & new lamps (they’re literally falling apart). Aside from that it’s a beautiful spot and I hope to stay again!!

It's been difficult getting products since the Lahaina fire (the furniture stores in Lahaina burned to the ground) but we are working on it.
