Our host was very responsive and the house is beautiful. The lake is about 1-2 minutes walk behind the house. The house is very clean and fully stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is walking distance to a private beachfront. The gated community is very quiet and well maintained. The home is exactly as shown in the photos. The communication with the property management was above and beyond my expectations. Response times were quick, and detailed, making the booking and check out process effortless.

Great location in Zephyr Cove. Very pretty area, secure, quiet, and with a private beach. Plenty of space with a large living room and deck. Very clean and fully furnished. A minute walk to the lake, we were able to leave our SUPs at the lake each day. Highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

Perfect location!
My family had a great time while staying at this condo. It is clean and the location is perfect. We didn’t have to get up extra early to battle crowds at the public beaches, simply walked out paddle boards and kayaks straight into the private beach. We paddled over to zephyr cove from there. The property itself had everything we needed. If we go back to Lake Tahoe, we would definitely stay here again!

Parking is a issue
The rental is great, quiet, everything went fine and worked well. Beautiful place. Parking is a huge issue and should be disclosed prior to renting. The condo sleeps 8 but you only have one space. The owners worked well with us. The overflow parking is 1.5 miles away. The parking issue should be disclosed prior to renting. If I had known this, I may have kept looking. Such a hassle.

Autumn getaway
Lovely location and property, full kitchen and laundry. Smart TV’s were great to have access to in the evenings. Great beach access to spend the day at the beach or to watch the sunset. Only negative was the parking pass issue. Parking Pass Make sure you PRINT the Douglas county pass that the property manager emails you. We had been traveling on the road for 3 weeks with zero access to a printer. The woman in the HOA office was less than helpful and frankly was rude. I was thankful that I was able to reach the property manager right away to resolve the issue. Will definitely stay here again and make sure to have the pass printed beforehand.

This is the place you want
A really nice place. Very clean, lots of natural light, feels very cozy and welcoming. Kitchen is best stocked I’ve ever seen, beds and all furniture are comfortable, shower is hot with good water pressure. All appliances work and most look brand new. Very generous with bath towels, beach towels, and blankets. The style is vintage 1970’s done very classy. We really enjoyed ourselves.View out the front is of lots and lots of very tall pine trees and a well mowed lawn. Just past the condos in front of you, you can see a little part of the lake and all of the mountains beyond. In the trees and lawn, we saw chipmunks, robins, white-headed woodpecker, tree swallows, and the rare violet-green swallow.Beach is nice and sandy, about 5-10 feet deep, behind that is about 10-15 feet of native plants, and behind that is another 15 feet of grassy lawn, then either more native plants or some of the condo buildings. This way, after you get too hot on the sand, you can pick up your beach towels and move to the grassy area because it is very well shaded with pine trees, nicely mowed, and very comfortable to cool down on.Hosts were very responsive to all inquiries and super nice people as well. This is the type of rental everyone wants and we’ll check availability with these owners next time we’re in Zephyr Cove.

A disappointing stay
Our recent condo stay was unfortunately far from relaxing, plagued by numerous issues. While well-stocked, we found it better suited for 5, not the advertised 8. The flat pillows were a notable downside.Unpleasant Environment & AmenitiesThe lack of a lake or mountain view was a major disappointment. The patio was unusable upon arrival, requiring us to clean it ourselves. The small beach was covered in disgusting goose droppings, making it unappealing. Strict HOA rules, like needing a beach pass, felt excessive. We also experienced constant noise from yard work and a neighbor's woodworking. Getting around was made difficult by ongoing construction.Maintenance & Communication IssuesInside, not all stove burners worked, and the shower faucets had extreme temperature fluctuations. Owner communication via the app felt impersonal, almost like a bot. A pre-arrival query about the coffee maker was incomplete. Our last night was highly stressful: a smoke detector's low battery alarm repeatedly triggered the security system. Despite contacting the owner, it wasn't promptly disabled, leading to us being woken twice and fearing the fire department.Final VerdictThough the owner was friendly in person, his unannounced visit felt intrusive. Given the constant disturbances, uncomfortable amenities, and stressful incidents, we would not return or recommend this property.

Great Tahoe Getaway
This property was amazing, and perfect for our family of 5 to have a nice quiet week in Lake Tahoe. The property was clean and comfortable as you might expect, but had quite a few other positives not listed in the booking:
1. This is an end unit condo, so you only have one possible neighbor, and extra windows. We were lucky not to have anyone next to us during our week, but could imagine on a busy week this complex being full. Having the extra quiet of an end unit is nice.
2. Parking. Two things to call out here: first, parking is actually really easy. Some of the comments from prior renters made me think this would be a hassle, but they must have changed the rules as this became really easy. They give you a gate code for the master gate, and then inside the condo there is a lanyard that you leave on your dash. That’s it, no forms to fill out, or offices to visit. Super simple. Second, the parking spot is steps away from the front door of the unit. So if you have a ton of stuff with you (like we did with three young kids) this makes loading in and out a breeze.
3. Beach access is really easy. It’s a 45 second walk from front door to the sand, and the house gives you chairs, umbrellas, etc. so you don’t really need anything.
4. Towels. Maybe a weird one, but this rental came with a large amount of towels. Probably 2x what we needed. This was helpful as it cuts down on us needing to do laundry while on vacation.
All in all, great place. We will be back!

Beautiful location, frustrating property manager
I will start by saying the community this condo is located in is beautiful. Amazing landscaping, location, and proximity to the beach. Our stay, however, was not totally enjoyable because the property manager was quite difficult to work with.
First of all, the parking rules changed from 2 cars to 1 car after we booked (county law, not their fault, but also not handled very well). In a home that claims to sleep 8, this was difficult. The attendants working the gate when we pulled in were not accommodating and would not allow us to pull in an unload unless it was the one car with the approved parking permit. So beware of this if you are coming with multiple cars - it was stressful to get everyone unloaded and the cars sorted out.
The house is very cute but the mattresses are absolutely horrible. They have to be very old and proved to be uncomfortable for all. The trash compactor in the kitchen did not work and the barbecue was out of propane but the real trouble came when we loaded the dishwasher and realized it did not turn on. We tried unplugging and replugging, holding buttons, etc before reaching out to the property manager. When I finally messaged him, he told me other guests had the same complaint but he already paid for a technician to check it and they said there was nothing wrong with it so it was probably user error. That was just not the case and frustrating to hear this was a known issue. He showed up unannounced to look at a time that did not work. When he was finally able to get a repair person (on the very last day of our stay) we told him the time he scheduled did not work for us. Instead of being cooperative since this was our vacation, he tried to guilt trip us. It was pretty obvious he wanted to have it fixed for the next party that would arrive the next day, but is not our problem. He was getting quite combative over text.

This is not a true review, unfortunately. The guest was upset the dishwasher did not work so we scheduled a time to go and fix the dishwasher. Confirmed via text with her boyfriend. When we arrived, their friend who was not on the guest list would not allow us to enter. She did not trust we were the property management company. The main contact, Raychelle, did not inform her friend we were coming to fix the dishwasher. The next day, her boyfriend came to the office to discuss the options to fix the dishwasher. So once again we called appliance repair to reschedule. This unfortunately takes time and the time slot available was not convenient for them. However, they were still upset the dishwasher did not work. They did not give us a chance to fix on both attempts. What else could we have done to make them happy?
The HOA that this home is located in, passed a new rule that only 1 vehicle is guaranteed for vacation rentals. They issued this rule on 5/31/2022. They did not give us much time to react. The HOA rules and employees are separate from us, we cannot control them or their interaction with the guests. The dishwasher finally was figured out the third time the technician came and has since been replaced. We are never combative, we just wanted to fix the dishwasher since they called, texted and showed up at our office to talk about the dishwasher. We just wante dto make them happy and get the dishwasher fixed but they wouldn't allow us to fix it. Quite annoying is all...
