This property was perfect for our family of three plus 2 pets! It was comfortable, attractive, peaceful, AND decorated for Christmas!!!It was an easy ride to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. We definitely will have fond memories of "our Christmas vacation" in Maggie Valley!!

We enjoyed our stay! Very comfortable cabin. We got to see the Elk which made our trip all the more exciting. Would highly recommend this cabin and the location was perfect.

Brandon was a great host! We had a problem with the microwave, he had a new one delivered to the house that same day! The home is clean and cozy, setting in a beautiful walkable neighborhood. WiFi was strong with no signal dropping out. We will most definitely be returning to stay at Smokey Bear Cabin again

Beautiful neighborhood with friendly neighbors! Elk close-by! Great location to enjoy Maggie Valley, Cherokee and Lake Junalaska. Publix about 15 min away. Great wrap-around porch to sit out and relax. Loved the mountain decor. Check-in simple! Outstanding communication with host! Surrounded by the beauty of the mountains without having to drive up steep mountains. Loved our stay and appreciated being able to bring our two small dogs!

Great stay all around

Nice relaxing getaway

My husband and I truly enjoyed our getaway to the mountains. The home was very warm and inviting. It was not too far from the casino and shopping centers.

Winter Magic

We booked a last minute weekend for our kids to play in snow for the first time. The weekend was magical! The cabin was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our walks to see the elk across the street and then coming back to warm up by the cozy fire. Several restaurants in the area as well as tubing and skiing. Before we left we all agreed we would have to come back soon!

Perfect gem in Maggie Valley!

I have stayed in many vacation properties, and this is the best one yet! It is the perfect location in Maggie Valley. 5 minutes to most restaurants and snow tubing, and under 15 minutes to Cataloochee ski area. Also, this is so well-stocked with all the little things you might forget- TP, shampoo, soap, detergent, paper towels, trash bags, sponge, dish soap, coffee filters, oil, spices…really everything. And, you truly see elk everyday of your stay, which makes this place so magical!

We had a wonderful time. Communication with the owner was excellent. We had everything that we needed. Definitely will return! We loved seeing all the elk right outside the door. Very cozy and comfortable cabin.

Everything was perfect!! Well maintained property, great location, quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. Host communicated so well before and throughout the stay. Everything you could hope for and more. There was a bull Elk in the neighborhood that made his presence morning and evening. One morning there were 2. I love nature and all animals so this thrilled me. Would definitely stay again!!

Never Disappoints!!

This is our 3rd stay in this lovely cabin! And it is soo hard to leave. We love the location and the cabin is very clean and comfortable. It has all the things we need but is not cluttered, so we have room for our stuff! Can’t wait til our next visit.

Spacious and beautiful

If your idea of a cabin is weird smells, carpeted bathrooms, or indoor wildlife, this will probably be a disappointment. Instead, you can focus on the roomy common area, the spacious porch, or the nighttime quiet and the fresh mountain air that make for a good night's rest. Would recommend and would book again if we return to Maggie Valley.

I currently live in Charlotte, NC with my wife, our 3 children and our dog. WE LOVE THE MOUNTAINS! It’s just under a 3-hour drive for us from Charlotte to Maggie Valley and we are over there every chance we get. Anytime the kids have no school on a Monday or Friday we are there for a 3-day weekend…doesn’t matter the time of year. The Maggie Valley / Waynesville area is the perfect location for anything you could want to do outdoors. Endless hiking, awesome waterfalls, tubing (snow & river), rafting, fishing, playing in the creeks, snowboarding & skiing, apple picking and on and on. Our family loves to be outdoors with nature every chance we get. What started with 1 vacation rental home in 2014 has now grown to 7. I personally manage all the listings, bookings and communication between guests to ensure an awesome trip. Any questions, comments, concerns or issues I am always available by phone, text or e-mail.

Smoky Bear Cabin is located in Crocketts Meadow, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of Maggie Valley. It's low down with extremely easy access to the house including a large driveway. Smoky Bear Cabin is a true log cabin with two master bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The home has a great covered porch that extends along the front and side of the house. Elk often frequent the area in the evening and will walk right through the yard. The house is fully stocked with everything you need for a great mountain vacation. This house has been a vacation rental since 2015 with over 200 5-star reviews.
