Mountains Edge Suite is a 1-7 day private property rental. Longer stays must be approved by the owner. It is a Beautiful 2 Bedroom-1 Bath ground floor Suite attached to this beautiful home and features its own private keyless entrance. (No need to meet anyone for keys). The Suite is located on the side of Scenic Bald Mountain. So if you are looking for peace and quiet this is it. The only sounds you will hear are the sounds of nature. We are ideal for couples, families and singles who want to get away from the everyday grind. We have family friendly hiking trails close by on Bald Mountain with great Mountain top views of the Sunrise and Sunsets. Bald Mountain also has incredible views of the surrounding area that will not disappoint on a clear day. SPECTACTULAR LEAF PEEPING VIEWS during the fall season! You will also enjoy great views of the night stars on a clear night from your suite. We offer easy Self check-in with keyless entry into a private suite. Accommodations are1 King Bed,1 Queen Bed, and 1 single self-inflating bed. You will also enjoy Free Parking, Free Access (no extra charge) to a beautiful Outdoor 24 foot above-ground swimming pool, Outside Fire pit, Kitchenette, Wi-Fi, Laptop-friendly workspace, Direct TV, DVD player (upon request), Washer/Dryer, A/C & Heat. Your Suite is a great jump-off point to Bar Harbor, Acadia NP, Belfast, Camden, Rockland. (Approximately 55-70 minutes). UMO and Husson Universities (25-30 minutes).

The stay was fine but the listing showed 3 beds in the unit and there were only two, so we had to share. Was specifically looking for a place where that wouldn't be the case, so this was a big disappointment

Pool not working

Property was clean and tidy. Welcomed when we showed up then informed the pool wasnt operational. We booked this stay several months before our stay and it was obvious the pool was never set up this year. We chose this property for the pool. After our stay we inquired about getting a partial refund as it cost us more than other properties to stay for 2 nights. We were told the pool isnt the main attraction of the property yet the first picture on the ad shows the pool and it is talked about throughout the listing. When we inquired about a partial refund we were given a very small refund. That didnt even cover the extra $ we had to pay for "extra guests " wich were our kids and it states the property sleeps 4 or 5. We have never been charged an extra fee for our children until this rental. Overall the stay was decent and it wasnt too far of a drive to Acadia National Park. If we would have been informed of the pool not being operational before our stay we would have canceled as that was the only requirement from my wife and kids on what property we wanted.

Wonderful get-away

Both of both world convenient to town and the quietness of a forest! Loved the cats and chatting with the hosts! Property was clean and decorated in an ocean/beach decor, very refreshing!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay while bringing our son up to UMO. The property was super clean, quiet and peaceful. Kim was so personable and welcomed us when we arrived and was extremely prompt in answering my questions before we arrived. A perfect stay!

Couple getaway

This apartment was even better than we expected. Kim thought of everything we might need and provided it. Bed was comfortable and everything was spotless and in good condition. Highly recommend. About an hour drive from Acadia.

Rural Getaway

I scheduled a “rest day” here in the middle of our jam packed vacation and this property was perfect. We were able to make breakfast and relax by the pool. Our hosts were tremendously helpful in ensuring we had a lovely time.

Although we only stayed for one night on our way to Acadia, Kim and Dan were fantastic! Everything about the stay was excellent including response time, kindness, suggestions on sights, and Acadia tips. The kitchenette was perfect, beds were comfortable, hot water was actually hot, and the remoteness allowed for a peaceful rest and absolutely beautiful overlook of the property. We highly recommend Kim and Dans place while in the area.

4 retired teachers off to see Maine!

The house on Bald Mountain was clean and lovely and The pictures were accurate. But the best things were the owners, Kim and Dan, who occupy the house above you. They were eager to see that your stay was excellent. They greeted us when we came and when wish us safe travels when we left. They gave us directions and suggestions for our stat. They tried in every way to accommodate all our requests and as teachers you know we asked a lot of them. We were happy people and They were gracious, helpful owners who wished us safe travels when we left.

Easy to walk to Bald mountain or a very short drive. You have a Kitchenette to prepare meals and a mini Fridge/Freezer. We have all of your cookware and utensils with dinnerware, Keurig with complimentary coffee & tea, Toaster/Pizza oven and Microwave. Feel like a swim? Our outdoor pool is just the answer to cooling you off after a long day of sight-seeing! Watch the night stars on a clear night. If you love the amazing Fall Colors of New England, you won't be disappointed here!

Mountains Edge Suite has very nice hiking trails close by on Bald Mountain with great Mountain Top views of the surrounding area that will not disappoint. Mountains Edge Suite also has great views of the night stars on a clear night. We are a great jump-off point to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park, Belfast, Camden, Rockland. All sight-seeing is within 55-70 minutes.
