Modern beach house across the street from Moody Beach

Welcome to our beach house! Get ready to take your shoes off, feel the fresh ocean air and forget about all of your cares. It is a renovated vacation home in Wells, ME at Moody Beach.

"One of Ocean Avenue's most recognizable properties. Custom built and architecturally appealing with a fabulous floor plan designed to capture the fantastic ocean views!"

We wish that we were creative enough to write that ourselves but that's what the realtor wrote on the online listing when we bought the house. We hope you agree with it!

Steps to the beach. 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, sleeps 8 max persons (including adults, children and infants), 4 parking spots. New furniture and appliances. Open concept, ocean views from family room and Owner's suite, large jacuzzi tub. Central air conditioning.

Home is ideally organized for an extended family because bedrooms are on 3 floors. Each bedroom has a bathroom next to it.

Beach access is just a few short steps diagonal from our home (you can see it from our lawn). There is a crosswalk with a sign called "Public Way 2".

Great house, great location. Cleanest place we’ve ever rented. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room for our family. Lots of parking. Beach across the street. Will look to rent next year.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The house was as listed, clean and accommodated our group of 7 adults comfortably. Communication with owners was easy and always received prompt response and helpful information. There was a plumbing issue our first night in first floor bathroom but it was addressed right away and no issues the rest of our stay. thank you again Kristen and Andy!

Exceptional Beach House, Perfect for Our Family!

We had a fantastic stay at this beach house! The location was ideal, just a short walk to beach access, which made our trips back and forth super easy. The house had everything we needed, and we appreciated that beach equipment was included.The home was very clean upon arrival, and the owners were incredibly accommodating, even allowing us to drop off our belongings while the cleaning crew finished up. The check-in process was smooth, and the house itself was beautifully decorated with a modern beach vibe. Very comfortable and well thought out for families. Highly recommend!

Annual weekend

We were thrilled upon arrival with this property. Very close to the beach, meticulously maintained with a beautiful bright and cheery interior. The living area was comfy and cozy. The kitchen lacked for nothing and the bedrooms were spacious with bed linens that were fresh and clean. We really enjoyed the deck off the kitchen for morning coffee and watching the ocean waves. A very lovely home and perfect location JB

Great spot for a family vacation

Beautiful home in a great location! We had a 1 year old and several other kids (aged 3-11) stay with us. The walk to the beach was shorter and safer than I expected (2-3 minutes total), which meant we could take multiple trips a day with the little ones and leave when they were tired or cold. Andrew and Kristen were great hosts and available promptly when we had questions. The weather wasn't great but we still had a blast, and would love to come back next year.

Wedding reunion.

We had guest from all over the east coast come to Moody beach house. The area was recommended by our son in law who has a family beach house nearby. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was a dream to cook in. The kitchen was well equipped for large meals. The beverage refrigerator was an added bonus. The grocery and restaurants were close by as well. We all were very pleased with our choice and recommend it highly to any incoming renter. Kudos to Kristen & Andy for such great hosts!

Perfect spot!

Hosts were great at communicating and made the trip prep process a breeze. The house is beautiful and in a perfect location. Highly recommend, we hope to plan a return trip!

Wonderful Wells!

We had an exceptional experience staying at this property on Moody Beach in Wells! Even in November, the location--right across the street from the ocean--is incredible. It was nice to be able to access the beach easily and walking/running around the area was safe and fun. All the amenities were amazing—from the cleaning supplies, pantry items, plastic bags and leftover container, junk drawer, laundry supplies, beach supplies (which we didn’t use), ice packs and all the kitchen items—serving bowls, baking set—all so helpful and complete. We also appreciated Andy's communication and willingness to explain and share insight about the house and area. We look forward to returning with more of our family! Thanks, Andy and Kristen!

Wonderful beach house!

What a great house! We came from Montreal with friends for a kids-free surf long weekend. The house is perfectly located, the beach access is just a few steps away. We really enjoyed having breakfast and lunch on the oceanview balcony! So well equiped too, it has everything you need to cook 3 meals a day. Twice we picked up fresh lobsters at the Lobster Plum and cooked ourselves feasts. The rooms are really comfortable : we were 3 couples, everyone had their room + bathroom. Beach towels, beach chairs, even take-out coffee mugs, this house has everything you need. Such a nice little holiday, we’re definitely considering coming back with the kids!

Welcome to our beach house! Get ready to take your shoes off, feel the fresh ocean air and forget about all of your cares.

Moody Beach is a special place for us. Kristen's parents have been vacationing and living here for over 30 years. They rented a place prior to building their own home just down the street on Ocean Ave. Now we have our own place and you get to enjoy it too!

Moody Beach has been the family's “Happy Place." Growing up, Kristen would spend two weeks each summer running around the beach, wading in the warm tide pools (remember those?), boogie boarding, building sandcastles with friends, eating lunch at the beach, getting lobster rolls at Jake’s, going to the Scoop Deck for the world’s best ice cream, going to Perkins Cove for penny candy, and walking the Marginal Way to search for starfish…still many of our favorite things!! We are now creating these memories with our daughter and we hope your stay creates fond memories as well.

So please settle in, relax, and enjoy our Happy Place!

Note a supplemental rental agreement is required to sign directly with us after booking that just lays out some additional basic info such as the names of each of your guests, along with house rules and other info. Kristen and Andy will be in touch after your booking.
