The Salty Cribb II is a newly renovated and professionally designed holiday home, with private beach and views of picturesque, Lunenburg. Located on a quiet peninsula, a walk away from The Ovens Park. Just minutes from pubs, restaurants, tourist attractions, beaches and shops, The Salty Cribb features three bedrooms, appointed with two queen, one double and one twin bed. Each with a fireplace. An eat in kitchen with island, separate dining room, front deck, cozy living room and water views. The rear lot includes a forest view and natural stone fire pit. It’s the perfect place to enjoy all that beautiful South Shore Nova Scotia has to offer.

Included in your stay are: high speed internet, all the kitchen staples, toiletries, board games, and curated guide to local attractions.

A fully equipped kitchen. Bedrooms had beautiful ocean views. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels/linens. It was close to other places - Lunenburg and beaches. Local store had a variety of items including a little cafe. We saw deer in the backyard. Great place to stay.

Comfortable charming house

Our family of 5 (and a baby) enjoyed our stay at the Salty Cribb II. The house is comfortable, well stocked, and a short distance to a great little store. The owner responded quickly when we did have a question.

Family girls getaway

Such an incredible place!!!!! Loved everything about the house and area!!! Walking distance to beach, finding sea glass, seeing dolphins and seals in the cove, close to Lunenburg ( which you can see across the cove), watching Anne with an E at night on the tv, I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is… If I ever come back this is where I’m staying!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay... great location from which to explore area.... spending some precious time with family... view onto Lunenburg Bay was amazing... especially appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the owners - they responded in a very timely fashion... highly recommended... just to be precise - it is close to a 25 minute drive to the town of Lunenburg

Gorgeous house and view

We absolutely loved this house and location! Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. The house is beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need and then some. The view out front is spectacular even in the fog! My 8 year loved climbing the rocks and collecting shells and sea glass. Thank you everything and if we are back tho way, we will definitely stay there again!

Salty Crib is a gift!

The home is beautifully decorated, and filled with so many object d'arts to enjoy. Everything has been restored or updated with style. We stayed for one week and loved our time there and can't say enough about this lovely home by the sea and our gracious hosts.

Stunningly beautiful house and location

Oh, wow! Kinda felt like we were in a Vrbo ad… The house is a beautifully renovated old home just across from the water, and a couple hundred yards from the beach. Beds were luxurious, bookcases of interesting books. The neighbourhood is of older, well looked after houses on a quiet cul de sac on the ocean. Couldn’t be better.

Loved watching the bay. Saw seals and maybe some porpoise. Loved the decoration details in the house. Kids loved the old books and antique treasures around the house. Kitchen comfortable for cooking. Master bed perfect for sleeping.

Our nine day stay was perfect. My friend and I hiked each day on a different trail. We left Ovens until last because it looked kind of old and tired…. What a surprise! It’s incredible! Rose Bay store is perfect! Love that Lunenburg is an easy trip! Great home in an amazing spot.

Salty Cribb 2 didn't disappoint

Our visit to this area was very memorable. Lots to do and see. So nice to start and end our days in such a beautiful and well appointed home. Loved starting our day on the porch with coffee looking out at the ocean. Saw tons of wildlife there. Watched Bluenose 2 and Eastern Star sail by. Many great destinations very close to home. Wouldn't hesitate to come again.

Beautifully Decorated - Big Rooms. - Across from Ocean/Rose Bay - Great Location

I loved this property. The house has lots of big rooms large kitchen with Island, dining room, large living room with direct view of Ocean, nice side room. 3 large bedrooms upstairs. Laundry room/powderoom. Off kitchen. Every morning I would sit looking out the window from the 2nd floor landing. 2 bedrooms have full oceans views. Good back yard for the kids to play and sitting area. Lovely large front porch which we used all the time. Very clean. So nice. The house is decorated like a magazine. Property is close to the beaches and towns like Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, don’t have anything negative to say. I definitely will be back

Wonderful stay at gorgeous house

We spent an amazing 4 nights at this gorgeous property and hope to come back in the future. The house is lovingly restored and very tastefully decorated. We found it very clean and extremely well equipped with anything one can think of! The location is great, a quiet side street and the shoreline is directly in front of the house across the street so one can spend a lot of time watching the tide roll in and out and ships sailing by. It's about a 20 minute drive to anywhere from it such as Lunenburg or the La Have area. Melissa and Rob were very kind and accommodating and available for any questions before and throughout our stay.

Seaside Wintery Fun

We enjoyed Xmas watching waves, winds, rains and on calm days the fishing boats. In the dark at 5am they shine their lights, it's like watching moving stars. For New Years we had fireworks viewed across the water. Back Road Map book showed us beaches, trails, roads and we did 1300 km in two weeks. Loved it all. Rose Bay General Store and Lehave Bakery/Bookshop are awesome. The house is cozy and elegant. Perfect.

I could live here

This beautiful home was so inviting, it was hard to leave. It made us feel that our stay was far too short. We enjoyed every moment in this lovely appointed home. So many little special quaint items in the home, it truly gave you the feeling you were in your own home. There were antique binoculars, and old interesting books everywhere, nice areas to sit and look out at the spectacular view, or read or write or both. There were so many little extras and everything was very easy to use, with great directions on everything you needed to know to make your stay seamless and comfortable. I would stay again in a heart beat, I wish we owned this piece of heaven. I reccomend it 100%, something for everyone.
