The River Girl is located on Johns Island, a beautiful 20 min drive to downtown Charleston, 20 min to Kiawah, & 20 to Folly Beach. We hope this place provides a comfy spot to rest your head at the end of a fun day exploring. We also want you to take advantage of the slow island life! Go crabbing off the dock and cook your supper! Read a book on the back deck & enjoy the breeze. Light a candle, & take a soak in the tub! Just enjoy yourself. Fully updated!

Such a wonderful stay on John’s Island for my daughter’s wedding. The pictures did not disappoint, the property is incredible. The views of the low country water and marsh were just like a postcard. The house had a well stocked kitchen, and so much prep space, and the decks are huge. There are so many sleeping areas, and even a crib in the master if needed. This is a great entertaining house, and I would stay over and over again. The host is accommodating and easy to reach, with quick responses. Thanks for such a great week.

I had an amazing stay the host was very accommodating and responsive. The property was stunning and very spacious. I love that the property offered different outdoor activities. There was something for everyone to enjoy!!! I definitely would recommend this house for your Charleston stay.

Great Stay

Property was great for our two families. Easy drive to Charleston and quiet relaxing location to enjoy some down time. The owner was very responsive with any questions!

Wonderful time

Used the property while in the area for our son's wedding. Was perfect for our needs. Contacted Host for 2 ad-hoc requests, she was extremely responsive and accommodating. Clean, updated, everything worked as expected. Would book again in a minute!

First South Carolina Vacay

The property was exceptional! The sleeping accommodations suited a family of 4 and a family of 6, and everything we needed was provided! Close to restaurants, beaches, shopping, etc. The only thing I wish we had been aware of was the boating situation - the family we were with hauled a "freshwater" boat down, and didn't realize the waterway we were on was saltwater. The tide rose and lowered every day to the point that they would not have been able to park a boat at the dock b/c by late morning, the tide was down to the water bottom. Highly recommend!!

Great Place to Get Away

Lovely home and perfect for our stay. Had plenty of space for our large group and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Great open kitchen, grill on the back patio, and space for laundry too. It was close enough to major attractions in Charleston as well as the beach without the crowds or traffic. Great communication from the host. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Amazing Girls Trip

We had an amazing stay at this house. It was spacious and beautiful. We couldn’t get over the beautiful tile in the bathrooms. It had all the amenities we needed and was a quick drive to the beach and town. I thought you could swim off the dock, but I was wrong. However you can crab and it’s beautiful to just sit on the dock! Amazing property. 10/10

Great Family vacation in a great house!

We really enjoyed the spacious house! It was beautifully decorated and the large back porch was great for hanging out and playing outdoor games. If we are in the Charleston area, we would definitely rent again!

Spectacular!

What an incredibly special retreat. The property is appointed perfectly - feels warm like home, but also like you're being spoiled at a 5-star resort! It's wonderfully peaceful, yet close to all the activities your heart desires. The owner is kind and thoughtfully responsive. We can't wait to go back!

Great spot for a girls weekend!

Visited Charleston for a Bachelorette Girls weekend & this was the perfect spot! We had a rainier weekend than we hoped for, but time to enjoy relaxing and gabbing on the gorgeous porch was a silver lining. We loved walking to the end of the dock to enjoy sunset view & a peaceful moment. The outdoor space is truly top notch! The River Girl is well located for those looking for a little space, while still having easy access for all the area has to offer. Easy drive downtown and to the beach, although we recommend planning ahead for a ride into town for night life, as catching an Uber wasn’t always an option. The home itself is well stocked, clean and comfortable. Our group of 6 had more than enough room to spread out & have some privacy. The extra full size fridge and wine fridge were an added plus & surprise - always a great thing for a big group. The hosts are easy to work with, kind and accommodating. Everything from booking to checkout was easy as can be. We hope to have the chance to stay at the River Girl again.

Relaxing getaway

We had a great stay, close enough to the sites in Charleston but a relaxing world away. The dock was so serene with gorgeous views. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, porch seating galore. We will be back!!
