Lovely stay

The house and location are outstanding. Plenty of room but please stay outside to enjoy the amazing view.

Beautiful place! Chris was a great host. It was a perfect stay for our group of 8, plenty of room. The teens enjoyed hanging out in the basement room.

Property was as advertised. Roomy, clean, new, and well laid out. It was a great week enjoyed by all.

Beautiful Home

This was an amazing stay for me and my family. Not only was the home super clean and beautiful, The host was was very kind and accommodating. She made sure we had a wonderful experience and bent over backwards for us. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return in the future.

Relaxing getaway in a beautiful location

We had a lovely time watching the sunset over the lake.every evening after cooking ourselves dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The house was spacious and clean and we could tell how much care the owner puts into it. The location is peaceful and quiet and just what we needed to unwind and reconnect.

A Great Quiet Getaway

Our host Chris was very responsive and friendly. She met us at the house on our arrival showed us around and made sure we would be comfortable. The house is perfect for families or groups, there's plenty of space. The house is set in a beautiful location with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain.

Eager to Return

Beautiful, quality home and lovely location. Perfect layout for two small families. Host Chris has thought of everything to make her guests feel right at home. Large lawn for outdoor games and many outdoor seating areas. We hated to leave!

Idyllic Lakeside House

If there were six stars then the Lakehouse at Isle La Motte I would give them! Located right on the shore of Lake Champlain this modern and fabulously well equipped house is perfect for family getaways. The downstairs was a great arrangement for teens and the view of the lake upstairs was a joy. Chris is a fantastic host who has thought of every detail for a comfortable stay. Comfy beds and great towels, Weber grill, outdoor seating and a great pontoon on the lake. I could go on but really you should see for yourself, we hope to be back one day!

Fabulous family vacation

We had the BEST time in this beautiful home. Everything was as advertised, was immaculate, and had plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. There are so many areas to enjoy the lake as well, including a fire pit, outdoor dining areas and a dock with a ladder for easy lake access. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets/bedding. We will definitely come back! Don’t forget to bring your yard games as there’s a huge yard, front and back. Chris was exceptional as a host.

Wonderful House and Area

We came here off-season for a getaway and hope to come back in the summer too. Chris was so nice and communicative, and the house was perfect. It was clean and roomy and well-appointed, and felt modern and new. The kids loved the downstairs hangout tv room with the most comfortable couch and we loved the upstairs living room with a cool fireplace and amazing water view. We got marinated meats from the Happy Chicken bbq shop nearby and grilled outside and hung out on the expansive porch. It’s very dog friendly with cushions and food bowls, and cool places to walk the dog, like to a nearby abandoned quarry. It was a perfect visit and we’d def come again.

Very nice and comfortable house. Clean and modern. Real beds-not like hotel hit or miss. Thorough and helpful communication with Chris. Kayaks are fun. (though a little tricky to get down to the water with the lower water level in August but definitely manageable). Very quiet island where everyone waves to each other. Fun on the lake. We also spent a day in Burlington; in Montreal; and at Lake Placid/Whiteface. Each is less than 1.5 hours away. This is a great house and location for a family with lots to do. We barbecued and cooked all our meals-very convenient. We spent evenings by the fire pit next to the lake. Very safe to bicycle here-cars are respectful of pedestrians and cyclists. Highly recommend!

Very relaxing lakefront home

My family of 5 and 1 dog had a very relaxing stay August 10-August 17, 2024. The house accommodations and furnishings were beautiful and comfy and mostly everything we needed was provided (more than any other house we have vacationed in). The view of the lake from the house was outstanding. Christine met us at the house, showed us around and explained everything. She went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay, which we certainly did. The outdoor seating areas were great, especially the very large front porch and the house was very dog friendly. We enjoyed the lake and the dock, made good use of the 2 kayaks, small boat and bicycles. We also used the lakeside fire pit while watching the beautiful sunsets. We explored the fossils at Fisk quarry and Goodsell fossil preserve and visited nearby St Anne’s Shrine and of course tried a maple Creemee (we recommend Devyn’s Creemee stand!). We would definitely stay in this house again!

Perfect Week on the LakeWe just finished a wonderful 7-day stay at this beautiful home with our family of six adults, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The house is spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for spending quality time together while also having room to relax.Chris greeted us when we arrived, gave us a full tour, and stayed in touch throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed. She even gave us great local tips, including a fantastic dinner at Bramble near Burlington, a real highlight.The property itself is perfect. We spent evenings watching the sunset from the deck. The lake access, kayaks, and outdoor spaces were a big part of what made the week so memorable.The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and share meals, the beds were super comfortable, and every corner of the home was well cared for.
