Linger Longer Lodge is a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home with views from every room as well as the large screened porch, deck and backyard. With Rock Mountain and High Hampton golf course as your backdrop, you won't want to leave. Linger Longer Lodge has everything you need for your mountain getaway. There are 3 first floor bedrooms with private bathrooms plus 2 bedrooms upstairs that share a jack and jill bathroom. The home has a large great room, dining room, 3 fireplaces, and a large game room with ping pong, basketball and air hockey.

Conveniently located in Cashiers with fabulous restaurants and local boutiques, a scenic 20 minute drive to charming Highlands NC and easy access to Sapphire Value, Lake Glenville and more, this is your premier mountain getaway. Take in the crisp mountain air with 1,400 acres of natural beauty. Hike the many trails on the property and in the surrounding area - endless waterfalls and mountain views await as well as local lakes and rivers for tubing, canoeing, fly fishing, and whitewater rafting.

Shop the unique boutiques down the street in Cashiers or roam the quaint Main Street in downtown Highlands, one of America's Top Twelve Small-Town ArtPlaces. You'll find plenty to do in these mountain towns with dining, music, theater, and art galleries.

Every season is special at the Linger Longer lodge. Springtime brings colorful blooms around the babbling brook and native Mountain Laurel blooms in the area, fall amazes with beautiful color and changing leaves, and winter brings crisp, clear views of Rock Mountain and Chimney Top and, when we're lucky, blankets of pure white snow. This special place brings you a sense of peace, year round.

The cabin was cozy with multiple fireplaces inside and the layout was perfect for our 2 families an 5 total kids. The kids enjoyed the game room all hours of the day which was on the opposite side from bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with good utensils, good pots and pans and equipped with plenty of cocktail ice! The firewood delivery added a nice touch of convenience which was well worth saving another trip out! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and made tons of family memories. Highly recommend this property!

This home was perfectly suited for our family! It is beautiful, comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly stocked…and had a fireplace…love, love, love!!! The very large family room had tables that were perfect for mahjong and for the large puzzle we worked on while there. It also had comfortable seating for a big crowd and another large fireplace. The bedrooms were great and baths were stocked with necessities and more. Upon arrival, the host had left snacks, coffee and drinks in the small bar fridge…an added, unexpected bonus. I haven’t even mentioned the game room, which all of us, adults and kids, absolutely loved! We would love to return to this mountain respite. It was so much more than we were expecting! Host family….Thank you for the wonderful memories made at your wonderful home!!!

Family time in Cashiers

This was our second year to stay at Diane and Adam’s wonderful house. Our five grandkids (14-21) enjoyed the games and spacious living room, game room, and porch. We look forward to returning next summer to the Linger Longer Lodge!

Wished we had stayed longer

This house is perfect! The location was the best - so easy to get anywhere we wanted to go while providing beautiful views in a relaxing atmosphere. The owners were incredibly welcoming and very responsive, always available for any questions we had. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Our only regret was that we didn’t plan to stay longer. We can’t wait to stay again!

It was perfectly set up for a Holiday Winterfest for a getaway with my adult kids - so great- it exceeded expectations by alot...🌲great local stops and trip to Highlands which is only 20 minutes from the house was awesome too...coming back for sure (any season is perfect I think).

WAY Beyond Expectations!!! Don't miss the opportunity to stay at Linger Longer

Our family loves experiencing different locations and seeing new places. We've stayed in a number of different homes in different locations. Linger Longer STANDS OUT in a big way. The home is lovely and the location was absolutely perfect for us with an amazing view!!!! But, the biggest difference with this home was the hosts. They really are spectacular. All of the little things they did to make this house a home for us is amazing. The quality of the amenities, the treats waiting for us when we arrived, the communication and instructions, I could go on and on. They have really put a significant amount of thought and care into making our stay very memorable. I would highly recommend staying at Linger Longer and we are excited to stay here again!

We are from the area and had friends join us who had never been to Cashiers NC. The home was a perfect gathering point for us to host them and to have other friends from the area join us. The home is ideal for down time as a couple and ideally suited for families and friends to gather.

Incredible stay

We had a girls trip this past weekend at Linger Longer and it was fabulous! Everything about the entire process was so organized. Diane and Adam were so attentive and communicative. The home was clean, and well stocked with everything you could have needed. We all agreed it was the best VRBO we have ever stayed in! We will definitely be back again. Thank you!

Beautiful and cozy

Big house with amazing views and room to spread out, but still filled with lots of cozy places to relax and take in the views. Loved the easy-to-use fireplaces in the great room AND dining room. We had such a blast playing ping pong in the game room! Kitchen and house were stocked with everything we needed. Restaurants, shops and hikes were close by and an easy drive. We will stay again!

Great Family House

We had a great stay at Linger Longer with our 2 adult kids and their partners. The house is in a beautiful location on the golf course with a stunning view of Rock Mountain. All of the guys enjoyed the game room. We were able to spread out- plenty of room for all. The house is very spacious with a lovely porch. The provisioning of the home was generous and thoughtful.

Amazing house

From the moment you walk in every detail is perfect. The views out the kitchen/dining room and living room are spectacular. There is an open deck off the kitchen and a screened in porch that are awesome overlooking the koi pond and golf course. The playroom off the kitchen was great for the grand kids! Everything is very organized to make your stay effortless. The location is ideal. Diane and Adam couldn’t have been more communicative and helpful. Will definitely rent this house again.

Everything about Linger Longer Lodge was amazing! The house is spectacular and has every amenity you could imagine. I have never been to a rental home that supplied a large pan of biscottis, a drawer full of snacks and a carousel of Keurig coffees. The view from the large windows was gorgeous showcasing two beautiful mountains, the golf course and the houses's very own bubbling brook ending in a koi pond. The sunrises were wonderful.The kitchen was supplied with everything. The game room has it all! You could never get bored there! Each room is beautifully appointed and looked amazing. The linen close was full and we saw deer several mornings out front. We had water problems but the owners were so kind and concerned they immediately solved the problem. They were very easy to communicate with. I don't want to forget the wonderful screened in porch and outdoor porch both with lots of comfortable seating. In the backyard there was a fire pit set up with lots of kindling so we had a spectacular night sitting around the campfire enjoying the stars. The dining area and living area were both so comfortable it was hard to get us moving in the mornings. All six of us highly recommend Linger Longer for any group you can imagine. You can't go wrong!

Cashiers vacation 2023

The house and grounds were great. The porch with the view of the mountains was perfect. The kids played all the games in the game room. The living room, kitchen, and dining area were perfect. Everything was labeled so we had no trouble finding pans, games, utensils, wifi, etc. The location is close to town, and there were many walking trails on the property. The owners contacted me and gave me several ideas of things to do that we had not done before. This is probably the best house we have rented in the past 10 years of coming to Cashiers.

Best Property I Have Ever Rented

Longer Longer far exceeded any expectations we could have imagined! After winding up the scenic driveway and taking in the alluring curb appeal, we were gobsmacked at the gorgeous and comfortable decor of the home. From the brand new screened windows that provide fresh mountain air to the huge working kitchen, beautifully appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, large screened porch, big family dining area, amazing game room, stocked laundry room, and even lots of delicious snacks and beverages, the home suited our family of 8 and a newborn perfectly. Everything was immaculately clean, updated, well organized, and labeled, but not in a way that made us afraid to settle in and enjoy the home. Dianne and Adam communicated regularly and answered any questions I had. Their thoughtfulness in imagining what we might need even extended to two little flashlights placed on the 7 and 9 year olds’ nightstands for “after bedtime” reading or make believe. We hope to return same time next year! Linger Longer lives up to its name!
