Approx an hour from Washington, DC and you feel like you've really gone somewhere! This little river cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, outdoor shower, fenced in acre on the beautiful Nanjemoy! Amazing dock and views.

4 comfortable bedrooms, 2 king beds and 2 queen beds. Open kitchen, living room and dining. 4 kayaks and 2 stand-up paddles boards. Large dock with 2 boat slips.

Very quiet and rural area. closest town for groceries, restaurant is La Plata, MD.

Beautiful Waterway Retreat

Jennifer's waterfront cottage was great! Very wide open and spacious inside with a HUGE yard, deck, dock and water view. Beautiful, peaceful spot!

Perfect River Cottage

This was the perfect cottage for our weekend! The view was just lovely and the house had everything we needed. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place for relaxing and fishing

We had a great time. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host was responsive and helpful. The fishing dock was perfect. Highly recommended especially for families that love to fish.

Family Time

This was the perfect property for three couples and two dogs to relax, kayak, and enjoy a week together. It is a beautiful location on the water. We highly recommend it!

We were extremely pleased with the property!! We were there for a fishing tournament and we had plenty of parking and felt completely safe leaving our rods and electronics out on the boats!! Quiet neighborhood and a great view of the lake!!!

Dog Heaven

Peaceful, rather remote, with extraordinary totally fenced in lot of about a full acre. Never had such peace-of-mind for my active dog. Small gravel area allows easy access (in low tide) to river - which is more like a calm lake. Extremely well supplied and clean kitchen. Wonderful to have access to kayaks, if you have 2 strong folks to carry them to the water. Loved the fire-pit.

Wonderful Cottage!

The property and cottage was even better than the pictures show! It was clean, well-stocked, and the floor plan was very nice to enjoy great views of the river inside and outside of the house. The sunrises were beautiful and evening camp fires for making Smore’s was a hit! The one acre fenced in yard was heavenly for our young Cavapoo to explore daily. The stand up paddleboards and several board games were a nice addition to our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and had terrific roads for riding our bicycles. Jen was a fantastic host and very responsive! Thank you for helping us make wonderful family memories!!

Nice Property

We had a wonderful time. We were celebrating a family birthday. Cottage is lovely and well stocked with everything you need to relax and enjoy yourselves. The listing said 2 beds in each room, but that's not accurate. There is 1 bed in each room and bed in a bag that you can set up for someone to sleep on, but there isn't much room to set up one or more. We weren't able to have a fire in the firepit due to the dry season, which we weren't aware of when we booked the location and would've been good to know. Lake view is beautiful. Neighborhood is very quiet.

am sorry you expected 2 beds per room. Not sure where you recvd that info. The photos and description clearly states 4 bedrooms/ 2 king beds and 2 queen. I will make a note to specify only one bed in each room. Yes, during hot summer months and during times of drought MD state law prohibits bonfires. I will add that to the online description. I’ve never had anyone ask to build a bonfire during the summer. We’ve been experiencing record heat.

Peaceful week

House was great! Check in was super easy and owner was very flexible. It’s nice to stay in a place that the owner has clearly spent time in, because the house had everything you could need. The fenced in property was awesome for us and our 3 dogs! We came during a crazy hot week. The window ac kept up better than the floor units, but honestly we were fine. Loved having direct access to the water and the kayaks and paddle boards were a blast. The “creek” is more like a quiet lake with minimal to no boat traffic, and calm but deep water. Overall we had a peaceful and relaxing week and our dogs got to live their best lives with us. Thank you so much for allowing all 3. The week wouldn’t be the same without them ❤️

Nanjemoy is a special, very rural community close to Washington, DC but feels like another planet. The views, the sunset, sunrise and sky full of stars makes for a relaxing time

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

cozy yet roomy 4 bedroom and 2 bath with outdoor shower makes it a comfortable place for a group. in the summer/fall we enjoy kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and love a lazy day on a raft in the summer! The fenced in acre is fun for dogs and kids!
