If you love the scenery of southern Utah, the views don't get much better than at Starzz Ranch in Kanab! Day or night, you'll be surrounded by incredible natural beauty, from the red rock views to the dark starry skies. Our 3 bedroom/2 bath home boasts inviting décor & a private back deck with barbecue. We have a large, fully fenced backyard & your pets are welcome to join you on your dream vacation too! We're located 10 minutes from the heart of Kanab & only 45 minutes from Zion National Park.

The Space:
Welcome to the wild beauty of the Southwest! In addition to the amazing views at Starzz Ranch, don't be surprised if you see deer or rabbits wandering through the property. You don't have to go far to be in nature, as we have some great hiking trails nearby. You can see the famous Mansard Trail from the back porch and it's less than 5 minutes away.

When it's time to come inside, you'll feel right at home in this peaceful, spacious 3 bedroom home. It's filled with comfortable, stylish furnishings with room for up to 9 people to stay. As mentioned, pets are welcome and we have dog doors going from inside the house through the mudroom out to the fully fenced backyard.

Master Bedroom - King bed w/log frame, bench, dresser, nightstands, closet, and ensuite bathroom.

Ensuite Bathroom - Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower.

Guest Bedroom 1 - Queen bed, nightstands, dresser, closet, flat screen TV.

Guest Bedroom 2 - 2 Bunk beds w/queen beds on the bottom and twins on the top, workstation, bookcase, closet.

Bathroom 2 - Shower/tub combo.

Living area - Comfy couches, coffee & end tables, large flat screen TV, dog bed.

Kitchen - Fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your favorite meals, counter bar with seating for 3 and a dining table with seating for 7. Kitchen items include blender, toaster, crock pot, baking dish, cookie sheets, mixing bowls, rice cooker, bread pan, circle cake pan, hand mixer, pots and pans.

Laundry room - Washer & dryer and we provide the laundry pods.

Mud room - Games and more, dog door to fenced yard.

Backyard - Fully fenced with two tables and seating areas, gazebo, propane grill, and perfect for stargazing.

Guest Access:
Keypad lock to open the door. We'll send you a private lock code prior to your reservation. This modest home was designed to blend in with its natural environment and take advantage of the red rock vistas, while also being energy efficient. This design allowed installation of radiant floor heating and an evaporative cooler. In low-humidity areas, such as Kanab, evaporating water into the air provides a natural and energy-efficient means of cooling. During extreme temperature periods, an evaporative cooler will not feel the same as central air conditioning.

The Neighborhood:
Located about 5 miles east from downtown Kanab in a quiet neighborhood.

There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab.

Equestrian and biking trails are also available.

Getting Around:
This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.

Page, AZ airport is 1.25 hours away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3.5 hours away.

For the safety of our property and our guests, we have cameras around the perimeter of the property. Some of the cameras are monitoring the front/back door as well.

Here is a little information about this home and heating system. It is heated with thermal Floor heating in the main Kitchen and Livingroom area. During the cold and winter months you will need to turn on all bedroom individual wall heaters and also turn the main front room thermostat to a normal setting about 70- 78 depending on the weather. With all these heaters on the house temperature will rise and hold very comfortable. The main Livingroom and Kitchen area will take some time to heat, but with all the bedroom heaters on they will all come together and heat the home very efficiently.

Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (35 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (81 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 84 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (24 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (12 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (54 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (25 miles), Kodachrome Basin (98 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (68 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (45 miles), Horseshoe Bend (73 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (69 miles) and so much more. Please note mileage is approximate and may vary by a few miles.
