Beautiful lake front cottage in quiet Schoolhouse Cove on Beech Hill Pond. 100 Feet of waterfront with sandy swimmable shore front. Crystal clear, spring-fed lake allows for plenty of water fun. Enjoy the sites of beautiful sunsets, loons, and eagles. The large deck feet from the water allows for an enjoyable morning coffee as you watch the sunrise and listen to the loon's call. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards allow for enjoyment on the water. A quick drive to downtown Bar Harbor and hiking at Acadia National Park.

Vacation in otis

Absolutely beautiful location right on the water. Even though there are lots of camps on the road we had absolute privacy and we all enjoyed the sight, sounds, and nature that this camp rental offered. They didn't miss a thing in this camp. They had everything i could want or need for a weeks vacation.

Beautiful camp

This is the perfect lakefront property. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. My husband rented a canoe (150 with free delivery and pick up). We visited Acadia, Bar Harbor, and Baxter State park. The Acadia Puffin tour was amazing! The cabin was well equipped for our family of 6. We loved everything about this vacation!

Fantastic stay at Sunrise Cottage! You literally can’t beat the water entry and docks at this camp. We were lucky with very warm weather so the swimming was amazing. The kayaks and paddle boards are there for lake enjoyment too and we spent hours on them. The house is comfortable and cozy plus crazy quiet/sound proof. The firepit is huge and perfect, love solo stoves!! We’ve been coming to Maine a lot of years and spent several at Beech Hill Pond- think the house and water access combo makes this our favorite. Thanks for sharing it!

Great spot

Had a fantastic time fishing and kayaking in the lake. Great location that’s close to Ellsworth and not a bad drive to Acadia either.

Our stay could not have been better. It was our first time to Maine and the location was incredible and perfect for our family. We chose the location as about midway between Bangor and Bar Harbor/Acadia. We had awesome activities within about 30-60 minutes driving distance each day. Highly recommend lobster boat tour in Corea, hiking at Acadia (Cadillac Mountain views were amazing), Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show, exploring Ellsworth (loved Lobster Pot and Taste Jamaica restaurants! Morton Moo's for ice cream!), and Stephen King tour in Bangor for SK fans). Kayaks and paddle boards were so, so fun. The dock offers easy access to water, which was loved by my kids. Location is so quiet and peaceful. House was clean and well stocked. Cat was quickly responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

Very nice place, quaint rustic setting, all accommodations very clean, well stocked provisions, the kayaks and paddle boards were a great addition. Loved our stay and would definitely come back

Maine Cabin

Enjoyed our stay at this Maine cabin on the lake. Wish would could have moved everything a little closer to Acadia area, but we loved the camp and the benefits of being right on the lake. The boys loved the standup paddle boards and kayaks. We loved the fire pit. We did not have warm or sunny weather but we absolutely made the most of our time at this great house.

Wonderful!

This Lakehouse was an awesome choice. The house was extremely clean, well stopped, and comfortable. There was plenty of room and just about everything that you needed. We really appreciated the level of detail and thought that went into this rental. The only thing that we missed was a radio. Otherwise, it was a perfect place with a gorgeous spot on the lake

We loved staying at this wonderfully equipped home! This was my 18th trip to Maine, and I think this place was my favorite! They had everything we needed and could hope for. The views of the lake are spectacular. We enjoyed watching bald eagles dive daily for their breakfast. We loved all of the critters we observed, and there were so many! The house was clean with clean linens and towels provided. It was great to have a washer and a dryer and the air conditioning worked better than any place I’ve ever stayed before. Cat was friendly and easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. There was plenty of seating for both dining and watching movies. Anyone who has trouble with stairs might want to be aware that the ones upstairs have a very high profile. There is a sturdy banister to assist with stair climbing though. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were very new. There was good water pressure which we greatly appreciated. We loved using the kayaks and paddle boards. We had a wonderful two weeks on Beech Hill Pond! I highly recommend this rental!

A peace of heaven

Our family was looking for a quiet place on the water to reconnect and relax. Cat's camp checked all the boxes and then some. Located near the end of a dead end road, it was truly peaceful and quiet. The cove where it sits is quiet and calm. The water was perfect for our grandchildren, there was a nice shallow area for them. Sitting out was truly zen, recurrent visits and sounds from 3 loons all week long. We love this spot, one of the best on Beech Hill Pond.

Home away from home

First stayed here in 2015 with son and his family. Had a wonderful time then. It was the only place we thought of to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Everything about the place was wonderful. The improvements made only enhanced our stay. We used the camp as our headquarters as we toured Acadia, Bar Harbor, and took a long ride to find a moose. ( We never did find a moose ) We had one rainy day during our week but we used that date to rest up. We will definitely think about staying here again.

Mold

The cabin should be described as “rustic” at best. There’s extensive water damage throughout the cabin, including serious mold issues in the upstairs. Old, dirty carpet, ant infested “bathroom”(?), damaged linoleum throughout. This property is not at all suited for small children, the elderly or guests with breathing issues. Mold!

Wonderful stay

Catherine and her property were great. She answered all our questions super fast and was very polite. Our check in was super fast and everything was just as it was stated on VRBO. There were a bunch of updates on the exterior since the photos that were online when we booked. The house looked great. Extras like the patio furniture, chairs by all the extra firewood, and stand up paddle boards were great. The dock is also like brand new and we played on it everyday. The lake is warmer than expected and we ended up swimming a lot. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to make all our meals and enough place settings for all 7 of us. I would highly recommend this cabin for a get away. It is a ways away from any stores, but that is what we were looking for so it was a great fit.

Slice of Paradise!

We recently rented Cat's lake house for our family of 6. Everything about this house and location was absolutely perfect. The master bedroom is upstairs with a queen and its own very large bathroom. There are so many places to store your clothes which makes up for the lack of space in the 2 downstairs bedrooms. One with a queen and the other with a bunk. The living room is spacious with a sectional couch and large dining room table overlooking the lake. The kitchen has everything you could need. The patio right outside the sliding glass door has a round table for 4 with an umbrella overlooking the lake and just off of that is the fire pit with Adirondack chairs around it making it the perfect after dinner treat. The lake is spring fed and so clean with the perfect water temperature for swimming or using the 2 stand up paddle boards or 4 kayaks that come with the property. There were several families of ducks as well as 3 loons on this quiet side of the lake. I would get up early and sit on the very nice new dock and listen to the loons songs and enjoy nature all around me. The pictures do not do the outside of this home justice. Some highlights of our trip include hiking Acadia Ladder Trail, popovers at Jordon Pond House Restaurant (make reservation) Puffin and sea bird cruise, Trenton Bridge Lobster Restaurant, Union River Restaurant, drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain for great views and family pics. Wonderful private location but close to civilization.

Great week on the lake

We’ve been to Maine a few times and this camp is probably our favorite. The house is lovely and oh my goodness, this is a beautiful lake! The water is clear and the bottom is Sandy, not muddy. Neighbors are close by, but we lucked out and had a great family we ended up sharing s’mores with more than once. The stand up paddle boards are a nice add. If you want rafts or floats, bring your own. Overall, a great week!

Final getaway before school

It was just what we needed. Far enough away from civilization, but close enough to enjoy it. The house was fully stocked and we enjoy many of its features (the kids took up paddle boarding!). Thank you so much for the memories.

What a place!

If you are looking for a nice clean peaceful place to stay on a gorgeous quiet lake, you can’t beat it! The kayaks were A+ for my teenagers (3). The beach was Sandy and clean. House was ideal.

Beautiful camp

We had a fabulous time at this clean amazing property on Beech hill pond. The new owners have done some upgrades to the A/C unit and dock among other things. The camp was clean and they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We absolutely loved our stay and would stay again!!
