Deals Gap 3 bedroom Treehouse ON the Tail of the Dragon

The Treehouse is here for all your Smokey Mountain getaway needs!! Whether you enjoy the adrenaline of the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway or you are looking for a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the North Carolina / Tennessee views, the Treehouse has what you need. Covered parking with plenty of room inside for all your motorcycle gear, 3 large bedrooms with Queen beds and Log Furniture, a full kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances, a comfortable living room with new leather furniture, multiple decks with gorgeous views, and a built in BBQ grill and firepit!

The driveway to the home is a single lane road. It is paved, windy, and single lane. It is manageable for motorcycles and full size cars/pickups. No trucks, box vans or trailers allowed.

Parking at the house is limited. there is a covered carport that maybe utilized for motorcycles or small vehicles. There is parking for a maximum of two vehicles, OR six motorcycles, OR one vehicle and four motorcycles. There is a neighboring driveway next to the cabins parking area that must remain clear.

Limited satellite Wi-Fi available. Internet can be slow & unreliable at times. Bandwidth is also limited. Streaming of video is not allowed. If movies are streamed, internet access may be shut off all together. Please plan accordingly.

There is an Xbox One in the house that will play blu-rays or DVDs.

Wood burning fireplaces are non functional. Use is not allowed.

The house is in a small mountain community. There is a speed limit of 10 mph & quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Violation of either of these rules may result in eviction without refund.

Perfect for a few days away riding around. Great appliance, beds and utensils do not get lost on us good WiFi for a spot known for bad signal. We look forward to coming back next year

Location was ideal for our motorcycle trip. House is situated directly on top of the NC entrance to the Tail of the Dragon! Views from the drive up are gorgeous. The drive up the shared community road can be tough for vehicles towing large trailers, it is best to check in while there is still daylight to navigate the windy road up. We had a great time and would love to stay again!

Tail of the Dragon

Check-in process was seamless, The house was clean, and all procedures to follow were clearly stated, from trash disposal to last-day exit instructions. The location was ideal for anyone visiting the Tail of the Dragon, right at the end (or beginning, depending on the direction from which you were traveling) of the Dragon.

**5 Stars – Perfect Mountain Getaway!**We absolutely loved our stay at this mountain cabin in Deals Gap! The cabin was incredibly well-equipped — everything you could possibly need was provided (just bring your own groceries). The decor was cozy, thoughtful, and added so much charm to the experience.The location couldn’t be better, especially if you're planning to ride the Tail of the Dragon — it’s right there at your doorstep. After long days of riding, it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a basecamp to explore the area or just enjoy a quiet mountain escape!

Another great stay at the Dragon!

We had another great stay at James's property. This is the second year in a row that we stayed at this location and it felt like home. It is always very well taken care of and you can't beat the location for having fun on the Dragon and the surrounding area roads. I would highly recommend this property - you will not be disappointed. We look forward to staying here again next year!

Cozy cabin in great location

Super easy check in and access. Great communication and fast response with owner when we had a question. Location was perfect for our hike up to Shuckstack Fire Tower. Internet has recently been upgraded which was nice although we tried to stay disconnected. Would recommend!

awesome stay with a few hiccups!

the owners couldn't be nicer, the property was amazing, the view is stunning, but be prepared if you loose power or if something goes wrong as you will have no contact/service with the outside world (sometimes a good thing lol). just a head up to future tenants, the killboy shead and deals gap resort has internet if you need it down the road.

Great host communication. Location is right at the start of the TOTD. Interior was immaculate and updated. Outside is a bit long in the tooth. Driveway is worth walking first before taking bikes up; steep with a couple of potholes/washouts to navigate. Backing out down the hill merits caution but fine with a bit of planning. Great location for a start to an amazing ride!

Will Definitely come back!!

This was my first time to the dragon. So i had the best trip I did with my bestie. The house was beautiful, clean, had very soft beds, and had I home feeling. Not to mention it right there at Deals Gap. My bestie and I had discussed that we will definitely want to come back. It was like being a kid again staying the night, riding bikes and staying up watching movies. But The only downfall we had was the power went out but it was restored less than 24 hours. They was very communicative and descriptive. Thank you for that epic adventure we had in your home. We wish to come back in the future.

Fantastic views

Fantastic views from the porch while drinking morning coffee and grilling at the outdoor seating area. Unbeatable proximity to Tail of the Dragon! Only con is limited parking. Parking area will house 2-3 vehicles or a lot of bikes. If your pulling a bike trailer you'll need to rent a parking spot for it at Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort 1 block away as I did. Had the whole family here for a week. I have 0 complaints. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and our trip.

Beautiful Cabin

The pictures on the listing do not do this property justice! The cabin is extremely charming and very well-kept. They provide all the amenities you could ever need. It is in a beautiful location and I was extremely pleased with our stay. The communication from the owner was timely and there were no issues.
