I was traveling by myself so unit was plenty big for me. Big challenge is parking. Understand that property owner has no control but everyone familiar with Ocean Grove knows parking is a challenge. Loved the proximity to the beach, restaurants and such. Bed was super comfy and pillows were great

My stay in Apartment 8 at the Allenhurst was stellar. The unit was incredibly clean -- I could actually smell the fresh sheets when I walked through the door! I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the full-time Allenhurst residences, and they were beyond lovely. Everyone seems to love live there! The host's customer service was also stellar, only taking minutes to respond to my messages. Highly recommend this property for 1-2 adult travelers looking for a quiet getaway in Ocean Grove!

The location of this apartment in Ocean Grove was perfect - short walks to the beach/boardwalk, Asbury Park, and Main St shops and restaurants. The space was updated and clean; it is small, but it served our needs on a 2-day stay. We were able to find parking on the street nearby (free parking in the city). We enjoyed Ocean Grove and would stay at this property again!!

Fantastic location.Reasonable price.I regret staying at the Allenhurst. We actually stayed off property for our last nite1. There is no A/C after 1 Oct. It was easily 85-90 degrees in the room. Sweating while trying to towel off from a shower. We went outside in 81 degree weather to cool off.2. The unit I was is has issues.a. The overhead light turns on in the middle of the night......repeatedly!! It doesn't happen when the switch is turned off on the wall, but that means the ceiling fan is turned off as well. (see #1 above)b. There's a smell. I think it's natural gas, but my wife thought it was just dirty/musty.c. Perhaps it applies to all of the TVs, but I spent more time trying to connect/set/reset/ than I did watching anything. We didn't spend much time in the room for obvious reasons, but....Finally, storing the window fan in the closet is pretty crappy in a unit with such limited space. Thankfully the temps dropped after the first 2 nights. My friends counseled that I should have put the unit back in myself. I didn't, but they are probably right. Could have at least reclaimed some valuable space.I booked 4 nights.Two of them were spent sweating and being awakened several times with the disco ceiling fan light turning on. The last night we went and stayed with friends. All was communicated to owner. Still charged full price.

Small but great location

Beautiful area and enjoyed not having to drive. Need to put comfy chairs in place of the ones we had…..ouch

Visit to Allenhurst, Ocean Grove

Lovely place, nice location for walking to the beach. Could not reach the owners by phone but were able to email them. Did not know what to expect as far as conveniences expect that there was a fridge and stove, and was told no coffee pot or microwave. Were pleasantly surprised to find dishes, pots and pans, a keurig machine and a microwave. Room was comfortable and quiet. Definitely recommend to others coming to Ocean Grove.

Disappointing

There is no one on site to help resolve issues. The TV wouldn’t connect to the Internet beyond the second day of my eight days stay. The coffee maker didn’t work.

Clean and efficient room. Although I think the bed needs a headboard and new pillows as the ones we had were too slim. And for 2 adults, there are only 2 slim pillows and 1 even slimer pillow. Ideally 4 plump pillows. WiFi is a bit sporadic. Otherwise, it is a cute, clean and conveniently located place to stay at. And we love the enclosed porch.

Loved it here!

This is a great property, very clean and we slept so good on the cozy bed! Great location...I had never been to this area before and we went for a music festival. I would def return to this property
