Cozy, Lakefront Cabin - Year Round Retreat!

Cozy, updated cabin on private Farmer Lake in Little Lake, MI. 5 minutes from Gwinn, 25 minutes from Marquette, and 10 minutes from KI Sawyer International Airport. The Wood's & Water Cabin is surrounded by water on two sides with nearly 400 feet of water frontage. Enjoy beautiful views of the lake and forest that surround the cabin. Inside features a main living area with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, original river rock stone fire place, 2 bedrooms (full beds), and a large loft with 2 twins and 2 full beds - perfect for two families or a medium to large group.

Enjoy the Wood's & Water Cabin year round - in the summer enjoy fishing, paddle boarding, swimming (with a private swim platform), kayaks, and private dock. The water surrounding the house is shallow with a sandy bottom (perfect for little ones!) but gets deeper further out for swimming and boating! We provide everything you need for a relaxing, fun-filled UP escape. If you want to get out and explore, this area is an ATV wonderland, we are only 1 mile from Trail 8 that connects to hundreds of miles of ATV/ snowmobile trails during the summer and fall. The cabin has space for parking for ATV/ Snowmobile Trailers.

In the fall you can enjoy the beautiful colors of the upper peninsula and warm up in front of the fire. In the winter enjoy the peaceful cabin and fireplace, or get outside for some snowmobiling or ice fishing. The Wood's & Water Cabin is less than 1 mile from Trail 8 snowmobile trail that connects to hundreds of miles of trails that cross the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

We are also less than 1 mile from the Full Throttle Bar and Grill if you want to head out for some food or a cocktail. We are also only 15 minutes from Marquette Mountain Ski area. After a day of enjoying the UP winter, warm up in front of a cozy fire. The Wood's & Water Cabin also has games, high speed internet, and a smart TV for streaming on the days you want to stay in.

We can't wait to share our lakeside getaway in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula with you and your friends and family!

One of the best places we have stayed in the UP. It felt very private with the lake on two sides of the cabin and paddling/fishing were excellent.The house had everything we needed and beds were comfortable. Location was good as it was a quick drive into Gwinn and Marquette was nearby as well.We definitely hope to stay here again.

This was, hands down, the best rental i have ever stayed in. We needed a Spring getaway and knew the weather wasnt going to be great and we had no problem spending most of the week in the cabin. The kitchen layout alone blew us away. Literally everything we could have needed was already thought of and provided for. I will not hesitate to stay here again in the future, especially when we can make use of the lake.

Excellent getaway for an extended fall weekend. Beautiful cabin, every amenity you could think of, wonderfully stocked, could not have asked for more. Perfect spot on the lake

What a beautiful spot on the lake! We absolutely loved the fishing boat, paddle boards and kayaks. The kitchen had everything you could need and was well stocked. We will definitely return!

Great stay!

This cottage is quaint and relaxing with all the necessary add ons with kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing poles to name a few. They remodeled the kitchen and it looks fantastic. The space was wonderful for us just as it was last year. Perfect spot to get away from the stressors of busy life!

No Air Conditioning

This does not have air unlike the listing stated and a strong pet odor but overall good. We are super glad it was not hot outside the loft was cooking with just the fan and window at night. The kids had lots of fun and overall we are happy.

Beautiful cabin on a nice lake. Enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and paddle boards. Nice grounds and plenty of room to enjoy our corn hole tournaments every evening! The grandkids had an awesome time. Would definitely stay here again. Kyla and Brad are very responsive to any questions we had.

Girls Trip Gone Right

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The host literally thought of everything. Everything was so clean and well stocked. It was seriously the nicest place Ive ever stayed. One thing is the listing says the cabin has AC it does not. However, there are several fans all over the cabin and when the windows are open you stay cool. I want to come back someday! Loved every second!!

Peace on the Lake

We chose this place due to its rural site and central location for day trips. The modernized cabin itself was well equipped to meet all our needs and was very peaceful. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The host even emailed us to let us know that cabin was available to check in early. Overall, a great experience we would highly recommend.

Cozy Cottage

Charming old cottage that has been equipped with all the modern conveniences. Very well equipped and well stocked. Perfect for fishing and kayaking on the lake in warm weather. Great location for snowmobiling and exploring in winter.

A great vacation!

We had the best week! The cabin was so cozy and had all the amenities you could think of. Its perfectly located and is a short drive to Marquette and Munising. The private lake was perfect for fishing and swimming. We had a great vacation and hope to be back next summer!

Family trip

Lovely place to stay! They had everything we needed and more. They are very organized hosts A lot more spacious than we expected. Kyla was very quick to reply to any questions. So glad we found this gem. The 3 season porch was great for the one year old early riser to the late nigjt card games!

Perfect Summer Vacation

We loved this cabin! Travelled from MN with our 12 and 10 year old. The yard and lake front are gorgeous and very well kept. They have two paddle boards that we used daily, along with a paddle boat and swimming platform . Lake water is clean and great for swimming! Also caught a fish too in the short amount of time we put a line in. The front porch was great to play games, and take in views of the lake. Plenty of firewood to have fires and nice chairs as well. Inside of cabin was also wonderful, great living room, space and open kitchen. Loft was so fun for the kids, and there were two nice bedrooms on main floor. Kitchen was great for cooking and hanging out with family. We chose this cabin because of the location as well, half hour drive to Marquette, and 1 Hour to Munising. Took several day trips and were able to get back in time to spend the evening at the cabin. Owners were wonderful to work with, and stayed in good communication with any questions we had.

Loved this place!

This is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed at, and we’ve been to a lot! They have everything here you could possibly need. The lake is so quiet and peaceful. Upstairs was perfect for all the kids we had with us! Love love love it here. Will be back if we end up back in this area!

Home away from Home

10/10! Better than the photos! Supplied with all the comforts of home (blankets, kcups, wood, spices, ice!!!). Privacy! Clean towels. Comfortable beds. Books. Games. "Hey Google"! Kayaks, Paddle boat, and paddle boards - I can paddle board - I had no clue as I have never had the opportunity! Clear lake with views straight down to the bottom! This cabin is perfect - leaving was hard! Thank you for creating a wonderful cabin experience for my family and I!
