Mountain Home w/Amazing Views - 12 Min. to Durango - Central AC - EV Charger

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1,800 Square foot home ("Durango Valley View") is located in the Animas Valley just 12 minutes from Historic Downtown Durango and 20 minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort to the north. 

The new home features numerous amenities including central AC, large screen TV with cable and gas fireplace in the Main Living Space along with a well-appointed kitchen that is open to the living room and dining room. Our favorite part of the home is the deck upstairs with comfy outdoor furniture with awesome views of the red rocks across the valley - great for morning coffee or evening cocktails. There is also a hiking trail adjacent to the home and the large back yard is perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities. Both bedrooms also have TVs (Streaming only).

The renovated Durango Hot Springs is just a 1/2 mile from the home and Dalton Ranch Golf Course along with PJs Market and a great liquor store are just across highway 550 a mile from the house. In the garage, there is a Charge Point Level 2 Electric Vehicle charger rated for 50 amps and will charge up to 30mi per hour.

Great layout/beautiful home. Located about a 11 minute car ride to downtown Durango. Nice views and hiking trails right from back of property.Only negatives were the very low water pressure in master bathroom shower & the bathroom sink faucets were located too far back from sink bowl causing the sink top to get wet.

I would prefer to have blackout shades on all the windows in the bedrooms for better sleep. The beds were very comfortable, my friend in the other room is very particular about the mattress, but I heard no complaints from him.

Amazing Mountain Retreat

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful mountain home! The location was perfect- about halfway between Durango and Purgatory and right next to Durango Hot Springs.The house itself was clean and incredibly comfortable for our family of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a long day of skiing/exploring. The beds were cozy, and everyone slept well.The hosts were responsive and provided great recommendations for the area. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape!

Great location

We loved this quiet house outside of town with views of the mountains. It was conveniently located near a grocery store. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely recommend a stay.

The unit was squeaky clean and beautifully appointed. We have used VRC for houses numerous times and all of the houses are clean and top notch. We come numerous times a year and their homes are our go to houses.

Perfect vacation home in Durango!

Awesome location, close to so many adventures. Bar D chuckwagon, Durango hot springs, Bear Ranch horseback riding, mild to wild rafting, James Ranch, Purgatory ski resort, Durango Silverton train ride and downtown Durango to name just a few. Nice grocery store, PJ’s down the road. Two nice golf courses close by. The house was extremely clean and fully stocked. The house backs up to a wonderful hiking area. The backyard had an open grassy area for my kids to play catch. Communication with the rental company was excellent. Highly recommend!

Fabulous home and location

We enjoyed this home very much and even extended our stay! It was perfect for us (two couples over 50 years old). There is a mountain hike just outside the back door! What a treat and a challenge for us and a great way to start every day!! The hosts thought of everything and we lacked nothing! We are considering coming back in August!

It was the perfect location - 1 minute to the Hot Springs, 10 minutes to Durango for restaurants, and 20 minutes to Purgatory. The home was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the home was bigger than we anticipated, the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, the fireplace was a perfect warm spot to relax after a fun day on the slopes, and the garage was perfect when we got 15 inches of snow! We had great communication with VRC before, during, and after our stay!

The house was very clean upon arrival and had all of the amenities we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with good pots and pans, which goes a long way with me. The deck was great to relax and enjoy a nice Colorado Kolsch. My kids greatly enjoyed the backyard.We also enjoyed the hot springs which is only 1/4 mile up the road.We stayed in this house last year and just had to stay again and it certainly didn't disappoint. We will be back!

Beautiful house!!

The owners have thought of everything!! A portable fan for the upstairs bedroom; kleenex in the bathrooms; beautiful views from the balcony; extra blankets; kitchen was well-stocked; great back patio. I would definitely stay here again. Fyi they have a Ring doorbell.
