The Treetop House Pet Friendly

This lovely, spacious Pet Friendly home is perfect for a quiet respite from the busy life. It is situated in a quaint, sunny neighborhood on Lodge Hill, with views of the Santa Lucia mountain range. Watch the moon rise over the mountains, enjoy a relaxing cup of tea and a good book in the back yard, beautifully landscaped with a firepit, rambling pathways, and charming play house for the little ones. The Main House offers 2 bedrooms: King in the Master Bed, Bunk bed with trundle in the guest bedroom, and a loft with a full sized pullout couch , 1 full bath, full kitchen, living, & dining room to accommodate your group of 6 guests. The in-law quarters can accommodate an additional 2 guests and has one King bed, gas fireplace, a kitchenette and full bath.
So much to do within a short distance, town is just across the Highway, with fabulous restaurants, art museums, local crafts stores, and elegant specialty shops. Harmony Cellar's is 3 miles south serving great local wine, and don't forget to visit the Pottery & glass blower shops. Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seal sanctuary are a few miles north. And after it all, sit in front of a fire and enjoy a glass of our local wines. So much to do, enjoy, return to time and again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful 4-day family experience! The home was large enough for everyone to spread out comfortably. Everything was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen. The check in and check out process was so simple. We lived the ocean and sunset views from the balcony, frequent sightings of wild turkey and deer, and the easy access to the dialing preserve. Just step outside to the left and walk to the end of the block and you are at the entrance.

Great location

Loved the property, big enough for our family; human and furry! The deck and outside property is relaxing and beautiful. Walking distance to Fiscalini Preserve and deer families wander the neighborhood! Plenty of parking and so close to many beach towns!!!! Great vacation with beautiful weather!!

An enchanting location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fabulous location, just steps away from the forest in the Fiscalini Reserve. We enjoyed wonderful weather, beautiful sunsets, deer (and turkey!) sitings, bike rides and the visits to town. It was great having a huge, completely fenced backyard for our dog. The house is spacious, beds comfy, and the decks are great places to relax. The furnishings are a bit sparse, particularly in the downstairs apartment, and there were a few inconveniences - many electric outlets were not functioning, for example - but by and large this was a great place and we would be blessed to return sometime in the future!

Lovely Home Close to Fiscalini Preserve

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Treetop House is a spacious and well appointed home, with the added bonus of being close to the walking trails of Fiscalini Ranch, both the upland forested trails and the lower bluff top trails. It is also easy driving distance to the village and all of its delightful shops and restaurants. The upper main house has two comfortable bedrooms and access via a flight of stairs to the large fully fenced backyard which makes it great for folks traveling with their dogs. There is also a smaller, studio-like home on the lower level with a small kitchen and a comfortable king sized bed. In both dwellings there is laminate flooring with no carpeting or area rugs. While this certainly helps with keeping the place clean for folks with pets, I would caution that elderly pets may find the floors slippery and hard to walk on. Also, the wooden stairs going down from the upper house to the backyard are steep and were difficult for our elderly dogs to navigate safely, so we chose to stay in the lower unit. I want to emphasize that this is a lovely rental and I so appreciate the owners offering it for rent and for making it pet friendly. I would just caution that accessibility may be an issue for elderly pets with mobility issues. (Also for humans with mobility issues with respect to the upper unit).

Enjoyed our time and so near Fiscalini Ranch trails

Had a nice stay including enjoying the fireplace. We had a dog who had a great time. Bit dated but overall homey / cozy spot that we would visit again.

Cambria family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was very good. House was more worn than pictures portrayed. Beds were comfortable, but outside apartment was awkward because there was no access from inside the house, which seemed to isolate anyway who stayed in the apartment. Keys did not work in locks on all doors except kitchen door at top of back stairs and front entry into bottom apartment. All locks need to be replaced for safety reasons. I would recommend the house based on location only, but I would warn a friend that the house is worn and needs maintenance improvements.

Lovely relaxing stay

We had a wonderful girl's weekend at this lovely vacation property. It was very clean and cozy. Very close to town, hikes, and the beautiful coastline. Lots of parking, storage, and kitchen space. Our only complaint would be the lighting. There are no overhead lights and it's very hard to see at night in the house. The master is exceptionally dark.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very pleasant stay in the pines. Large comfortable house with a rustic feel. Furniture is comfortable, kitchen reasonably well stocked with utensils, pots pans, etc. The property is fenced so our dog could run free.. lots of decks for sitting outdoors. Easy walk to the Ranch trails. FYI- the main floor of the house is upstairs and only accessible with exterior stairs. The ground floor has the garage and in-law suite, which is essentially a large studio apartment. Good setup to separate couples or kids.

Fabulous Stay at the Treetop

Our family get together at the Treetop House in Cambria was perfect! The Treetop house is very well appointed - plenty of towels, kitchenware, paper products, etc., and the master bed mattress is a dream. The house is stunning - warm wood and tile, decks and stunning sunsets, and a beautiful fenced in yard for our pup with trees and succulents. Check-in was seamless, and excellent written communication was provided by Scenic Coast Property Management. And EXTRA thanks to them for taking extra time to kindly mail us some expensive items that we mistakenly left behind. Cambria is a little gem, and our time spent exploring it while saying at the Treetop House are memories we will cherish. Thank you.

Delightful house in quiet neighborhood

Peaceful stay. Great place for family

The check in process was easy. It was nice to have a garage to park in. The basement suite was perfect when i wanted to get away. The upstairs space worked perfectly for my birthday vacation and ganes at the large dining table. Would 100% return.

The location was great and the house itself is very nice. Loved being a short walk from Fiscalini Preserve. Given the price (and we have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in Cambria), we were disappointed at the quality of smaller things - worn bath towels and only one wash cloth for two people, no soap in the shower, very cheap cutlery and cooking utensils. Not sure we would repeat on this rental.

Overall: 4.5/5 - A Relaxing and Spacious Retreat

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin in Cambria! The location is perfect, just a 5-7 minute drive from downtown, making it easy to explore the area while enjoying some peace and quiet. The cabin itself has a charming, wooden, cabin-like vibe that made for a super relaxing atmosphere.Pros:The space is large enough for our entire family to spread out comfortably. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals, which was really convenient for us.For anyone traveling with pets, there’s a generous outdoor area where our dog had lots of space to explore and enjoy the fresh air.Cons:The first floor felt a bit disconnected from the main living space upstairs. Depending on your preference, this could be a pro for some, but it made it feel a little less cohesive for our group.There’s only one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, which wasn't a huge issue for us but could be a bit tricky for larger groups or families.Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this cabin to others looking for a peaceful getaway near Cambria!

Enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Check in was simple and quick. Pretty much exactly as shown in the listing. Kitchen had all the amenities. If you like to cook meals at the house it may lack a lot of prep space for making larger meals, but when visiting new areas we like to try local restaurants for most meals so it worked well for us and had everything we needed. Surrounded by a lot of trees and plants which give it a woodsy feel. You can also see the ocean from the 2nd floor which made for some lovely sunsets. We also enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkeys that roam the neighborhood.

Beautiful location

Most of the living space and bedrooms are on the second floor with windows and balconies or decks facing every direction. It feels like you are in the trees. The sunsets were magnificent. The kitchen was well stocked and had newer appliances. The beds were super comfortable. There was a playroom in a shed in the backyard and it was perfect for our littles. The fire pit was really great too. Couple of things to note: only one side of the garage opens. The washer and dryer did not work. There are 9 doors to go to the outside so lots to lock up at the end of the day. The downstairs suite doesn’t have a connection the the upstairs without going outside. The main deck outside of the kitchen was not safe for toddlers. They was space under the benches for babies to crawl through. There is no AC and no screens on the windows and lots of bugs in the area so did not feel like leaving the windows open. They did have two fans to use. We would definitely stay here again.

A Great Option for Families

Just stayed at the Treetop House in Cambria and it was a perfect spot for our family to gather. Beautiful ocean view at sunset off the large balcony. Me and my two twenty-something kids and one of their girlfriends stayed at the house, which was super spacious and mostly had everything we needed. Lots of room for everyone...there is the main part of the house upstairs (be sure you are able to climb stairs), and there is a separate space downstairs with its own entrance, which has a kitchenette and full bathroom with king bed and LOTS of extra room if you wanted to use some blow-up mattresses or just have space. Upstairs included a large dining table, which was great when we had the whole family that was in town come over for pizzas and family time. There is a great barn/shed building with sliding glass doors full of toys for young children in the backyard. And an awesome firepit. My only one small nitpick is that the TV situation could be better. At least one main TV that's a smart TV would be a great upgrade. You currently have to download and navigate an app on your phone just to get some channels. Wasn't super intuitive. Overall a great stay and much appreciated.
