This completely remodeled, air conditioned 3BR, 2BA gem is a stunner! With brand new wood floors, a sparkling white kitchen, modern appliances and a private outdoor space -- you`ll never want to leave your beach vacation!

Mermaid Cove is a modern beach oasis, located just two blocks from the sand and salt waters of Mission Bay. It is a completely private, detached guest house with a car port and two parking spots available. There are two Smart TVs, an open concept living room and kitchen, pristine bathroom with floor to ceiling tile, an outdoor dining set up (complete with brand new BBQ grill) and the perfect, coastal bright & airy feel. There are two bedrooms in the `main` house: the master (queen bed) and the guest room (twin over full bunk beds). The third bedroom is detached (queen bed) and has its own bathroom & shower. There is free laundry onsite. Take a five minute stroll down to the water and experience all the vibrant San Diego bayside has to offer, from bike rentals to kayaking and paddle boarding!

Check-in is completely contactless, and you will have your own private entrance. The owners of Mermaid Cove live in the front house separated by a fence, and interaction is not necessary (unless you want to say hello!).

Check-in is virtual, as you`ll be provided with a digital Guest Portal and a personalized door code. Vacation Rentals by Aaron is a full-service property management company, and will be available 24-7 in case you need anything during your stay.

Looking for a way to get around Mission/ Pacific Beach during your stay? We`ve partnered with a local company, PB Golf Cart Rentals, that offers daily rentals in a customized Golf Cart. Whether you need it for the day, the weekend, or the week, they`ve got you covered. With flexible pricing and local pickup & drop-off, you’re minutes away from riding around San Diego in style. Please mention that Vacation Rentals By Aaron sent you!

For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month`s rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement.

Beach Equipment: despite the inclusion of snorkeling gear, we do not offer it at our rentals

Good location, beds comfortable, well equipped kitchen, host responsive.The outdoor area was nice and private. Need more places to put things….luggage, wet towels, toiletries, The shower in the small unit needs a shower mat,… it is slippery. Also the water in the shower which is very weak will suddenly get cold and then goes hot again.

Wandering along the bay and beach is just a couple of blocks away. Restaurants are also within walking distance. Found a good Indian place acceptable to my vegan son.

Fantastic House

We had a great stay here with our 4 and 1 yo. An easy walk to the beach and a lot of restaurants. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, even on a Sunday. 10/10 no complaints.

Little piece of Heaven on Earth

Beautiful place, very clean, pictures don’t do it justice, host is very friendly and responds back quickly. Located in a great spot and nice neighborhood. Would recommend and will be back!!!

Nice home in a great neighborhood

Walking distance to Mission Bay and the beach and lots of restaurants and activities, this is a clean home in a great neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay here. Communication with the Property manager via text & email was excellent - just the right frequency/timing with all the information we needed.

Nice Space for Work Trip

3 of us stayed here for our work trip. I loved how the 3rd room was detached from the main house so I could be separated from the guys and have my own bathroom (being a woman). Check in was smooth and the place was clean! Would love to stay here again.

The location is fantastic, but that’s where it ends. The house is tiny and split into separate units, so at least one adult will likely have to sleep in the detached garage. The bedroom doors are extremely narrow — if you’re carrying a child, it’s very easy to bump into walls. Soundproofing is essentially nonexistent: even quiet cooking in the kitchen will wake anyone trying to sleep behind closed doors.The “bunker bed” is really for kids only; adults won’t fit. If you have two adults needing separate beds, one is forced into the garage. At 600/night, this is just not worth it.Amenities are minimal: cheap appliances, no cable TV (good luck finding live sports), missing basics like aluminum foil. In short: great location, but for the price, the compromises are significant.

Snow, we disagree whole-heartedly with your assessment of the property. "Forced into the garage" is an interesting way to say that the third bedroom is detached from the main house (as we specifically note in the listing itself!). We have SmartTVs, as most vacation rentals do, where you are encouraged to log into your own streaming accounts OR cable account, if watching live sports is a priority for you. We provide several "basics" in the kitchen like salt, pepper, olive oil, other spices, and coffee. Take care! -VRBA

Super location, great space

The Pacific Beach neighborhood was perfect for our family vacation, so many things in walking distance! The VRBO was quiet and clean, beds were a bit small and softer than we like, but overall it was a great fit for us. AAron was super easy to communicate with and made everything smooth and easy.

Fantastic in every way!

Mermaid cove is a perfect getaway for those looking to take in all San Diego has to offer. The Casita gave privacy for my teen. The main apartment had everything for us to make delicious meals after shopping at the farmers markets. We could walk to the beach and it was a quick drive to all the city sights. The decor is immaculate and tasteful. Truly a gem. We can’t recommend it enough!

The guest house and “casita” was perfect for our group of 6. With 2 children we were able to eat-in or walk to great places for dinner. Playgrounds and the beach were also within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and return again!!

Lovely cottage

Great cottage, lots of space, very clean and nicely decorated. Nice walk to beach. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed having a detached room and bathroom suite, which was enclosed with the main house. Felt like a small and private compound. Would recommend and stay again.

Great stay

Nice location. Cozy spot. A nice separate apartment. We never received the check in email so that was a bit of an ordeal (we walked into homeowners house by accident as we didn’t receive the check in instructions) It was quickly remedied and all was well after.
