Lakeside Hideaway I - newly renovated lakefront with hot tub / walk to boat ramp

Welcome to our newly renovated lakefront townhouse on Lake Cumberland! Enjoy the view from our spacious decks or relax in the hot tub, by the campfire, or in the community swimming pool. Boaters can access the public boat ramp a quarter mile down the road. Hiking and ATV trails are located in the surrounding Daniel Boone National Forest. Cumberland Falls, Natural Arch, Princess Falls, the Big South Fork Recreation Area, SomerSplash Waterpark, and wineries are located a short drive away.

Our townhome is located in Lake Cumberland Resort, a gated community, with 24 hour security, 3 swimming pools, tennis court, and a small store (offers milk, bread, eggs, ice cream, pizza, and local artwork).

The townhome features 3 bedrooms. The first floor King bedroom has an adjoining full bathroom. One Queen bedroom and one Bunkhouse bedroom (two twin over twin bunkbeds) are on the lower level and share a full bathroom. One lower deck and one upper deck have seating for dining or relaxing and enjoying the view (the hot tub is on the lower deck).

Nothing Special

Gate code was irritating & the drive to get anywhere was 45 minutes (host had said 25) It’s a good 25 minutes down a very windy but a well kept mountain road - before you hit the highway to go anywhere. The beds were comfortable, extra blankets, a well stocked kitchen & it was very clean. We had serious WiFi issues & the host wasn’t very helpful, kept saying info was in book but it wasn’t. We tried to order pizza (cause the book said we could) & they wouldn’t deliver it. The down stairs bathroom was leaking at the seal so we didn’t use it. It sleeps 8 and there were 8 towels, no extras for hot tub! I would have been happy with a few old beach towels, instead of doing laundry constantly on my vacation! The electric recliners didn’t work. The hot tub was nice and clean, but the grill was cheap! The backyard on the listing looks like you are in the country (the drive up felt like country) but you have a neighbor 2 foot away on one side of this duplex and another 10 foot away. While you sit in the hot tub to relax you look at and listen to the neighbors ac unit run. The back yard has a pretty view of the lake but only about 20 foot wide and it’s a sink hole that runs right into the firepit, it rained this weekend so we never got close to it cause it was a puddle! The pool is close but it was small & super crowded every time we tried to use it. You have to drive down the road, go through another gate to find pools 2&3 & the tennis court. Also washer & dryer were loud.
That’s all of your yard space!

Getaway on Lake Cumberland

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property itself was bigger than we expected for the cost. It was very clean and was stocked with anything we needed. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the covered porch and in the hot tub. I would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful lake setting

Beautifully decorated lake townhouse perfect for for family of 8. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we wanted. We came to celebrate a special birthday and was very happy with the communication with the host to make sure our celebration went off without any issues. The hot tub, pool and boat ramp were very easily assessible and the backyard was very nice. Definitely recommend this property!

Quiet Retreat with Beautiful Scenery

We wanted something away from the hustle and bustle and we got just that! Cell signal is almost non-existent unless you are on wifi-calling at the house. We stayed with our children, along with our friends and their children and the house fit all 8 of us just right. We enjoyed morning walks while exploring the area. The community pool was very clean and ready to go every day. The South Fork boat ramp is right outside the gate and is very nice; wasn't very busy. The rental house is on the river, but there isn’t direct lake access from the house. It's essentially a cliff into the river below. We were kinda bummed about that and should have read the listing closer and/or asked the owner before booking - so that's our bad. We ended up renting a pontoon boat over at Conley Bottom Marina (~30 minutes West) and had an amazing time. The water was warm, clean and the lake is so big that wherever we tied off to swim, we essentially had no one around us.

Great house

This house was perfect for our 4 adults and 4 kids. Right by the pool, hot was clean and hot, fire pit was nice. The host was quick at communicating and helpful with any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great get away spot

This was a great get away spot for our family of 7. Fit us all perfectly. I had all the utensils needed to prepared/store food for us for the week. We came in the off season, so the pool wasn't open yet. But nice quiet duplex, situated right on the water. We enjoyed the hot tub, and fire place at night. Met the owners of the resort, and enjoyed homemade pizza and ice cream! The road in, is a bit windy to get into the resort. And the master bedroom, was not level, which caused sleeping in the bed a little awkward, and the toilet wasn't set straight so always moved. The kitchen sink was also jacked up, as whoever just redid the countertops didn't set the sink correctly. Hopefully they can remedy this, and then it would get all my 5 stars. Still a very clean and spacious place to stay with a bigger crowd.

Tracy and Dave purchased a home on Lake Cumberland in Lake Cumberland Resort in the fall of 2020. Lake Cumberland offers 1200 miles of shoreline and is nearly 100 miles long. The coves make for an enjoyable day to tie your boat up and enjoy the clear water and beautiful scenery. Hiking and ATV trails surround the property in Daniel Boone National Forest.
