Cooley’s Cottage is a beautiful log home with a hot tub!

Our beautiful log home provides a romantic, quiet mountain getaway experience. A spacious first floor bedroom with queen size log bed and upstairs loft room with queen size bed provide comfortable, private sleeping arrangements for two couples, or a small family of four. A darling country kitchen provides everything you’ll need including a dishwasher. Relax by the beautiful stone fireplace in the living room or enjoy the tv in the snug while watching deer play just outside the tall windows. After a day of hiking, biking, or rafting in nearby Ohiopyle you can enjoy an evening dining on the back deck, searing some steaks on the charcoal grill (summer months), or unwinding in the hot tub if the weather permits. We also provide a washer and dryer for your laundry needs. In floor radiant heat will keep your toes warm during winter months while central air conditioning keeps the home cool and comfortable in the summer. We are located just minutes from Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Ohiopyle State Park, Nemacolin Woodlands, Lady Luck Casino, Fort Necessity, Laurel Caverns, and the Jumonville Cross. Our mobile massage therapist is available for in house massage services by pre scheduled appointment. Please inquire for details.

Thank you for the amazing stay, everything was perfect and relaxing, great clean hot tub and easy to use fireplace made for an incredible time! Fallingwater which we came to see had scaffolding all over so we’ll be back some summer here with some friends!

This log home is beautiful! Every amenity you could need is there. The home was spotless, the furniture and beds were extremely comfortable, and all of the appliances are top shelf. And the owners couldn’t be more friendly. We were there on a very snowy weekend and the cabin is a spectacular place to relax and watch the snow fall.

This is one of the best vacation rentals I have stayed in. The cottage has all the amenities of home in a beautiful and quiet setting. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the cottage, I highly recommend Cooley’s Cottage.

The cabin was impeccably clean. Thos was one of the nicest properties we have stayed at. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after spending the day in Ohiopyle. Luann was hospitable and responsive. And the muffins were a thoughtful touch. We will definitely stay here again!

This place checked all the boxes for us. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, full kitchen, very clean. It was about 3 miles to the Ohiopyle SP Visitor Center. Access to hiking, biking and rafting are nearby as are local restaurants.

The most amazing cottage cabin. Luann and Kevin are so genuinely kind and caring hosts, but as soon as you meet them, they will feel like friends. The cabin is immaculate and Luann’s creative touches are felt around every corner. It’s only 5 minutes outside of Ohiopyle State Park. Just lovely.

The place is immaculate and the owners were lovely. Very helpful, never intrusive. The place is near town and convenient to the trails. After a day of hiking, we relaxed in the hot tub and watched the stars. The kitchen was fully stocked making it easy to cook. Would highly recommend.

Warm and welcoming cabin! Plenty of room to spread out and relax. The hosts have put so much thought into all of the details and amenities to make you feel at home. Very clean and we loved soaking in the hot tub after long days exploring the area! Great location a short drive from the center of Ohiopyle. We would love to return!

Such a comfortable and welcoming cabin. Clean hot tub under starry skies at night, after hiking and biking nearby trails. We also saw several deer families on the property. Excellent location for Ohiopyle State Park, GAP trail biking and Fallingwater. Also excellent location for just relaxing in the cabin… add an extra night to just hang out and enjoy. Hosts were amazing in communication and accuracy of listing. Lots of special welcoming touches and local suggestions. We would certainly stay here again! Thanks for sharing your special cabin with guests.

Wonderful and spacious property! Well maintained and a pleasure to stay in this beautiful area. Lots of activities in the area and the GAP trail for cycling is three miles form the property. It is so quiet and relaxing you will love it.

The cabin was quaint and fully stocked if you want to cook a meal there. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and its position outside of the house was super private. Perfect place for star gazing. Communication with Luann was top notch. I appreciated the little perks that included Keurig coffee cups and tea. The master bedroom was cozy and the closet was extra large. Very close (6 milesish) to Falling Water and many other fun outdoors activities. We will be back to explore all the things we didn't see this time. Oh, yes, one more thing. Please eat at the Stone House Inn.

Owners, Kevin and Luann Schaefer built this home in 2002 for Luann's mother, Mrs. Cooley shortly after her husband passed away. She made many wonderful memories and shared her home with family and friends before moving into personal care at the age of 94.
