L&D Mountain Retreat Cabin far from the Hustles and Bustles of the City

Large three-story cabin overlooking mountains, Brasstown Bald, Pastures and forest. The main deck features a wraparound deck on main floor with covered screened porch for bug free family dining, and entertaining space. Relax in the evening overlooking the stars while soaking in the spa located on the main exterior deck. Exterior decking & property has solar lights to lighten the way throughout the property. The interior main floor has a large open Kitchen and dining to Living area with large natural stone wood burning fireplace with ceiling that reach new heights. The main floor also features King Bedroom and Bathroom. Open stairway going up to the second floor leads you to the loft that overlooks the great room and large windows to view the mountains in the distance with additional sleeping or business area if needed in this area. Also, on this floor is the large Master Suite with cozy exterior private balcony. Basement features a Queen Bed, plus single bed, and Bath with doorway to the balcony. Our game room has something for everyone; ping pong, foosball, games, and dry bar with outdoor deck looking into backyard ready for entertaining. Other amenities are full stocked kitchen, Wifi, Direct TV, DVD player, outdoor stereo system, and flat parking area. We are located just minutes away from Blairsville, Hiawassee, Crane Creek Vineyard, Brasstown Valley Golf Resort and Spa, Young Harris College, Vogel State Park, Lake Chatuge, Helen, Murphy NC Casino, and Lake Nottely.

The kitchen was fully equipped. Every bedroom had extra blankets and towels. The house was very clean. The open kitchen, living room and dining room area was perfect for my friends to spend time together. The view was spectacular. The host was quick to answer any questions we had. Everyone said they would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin, very clean! Loved the porches, impressive view of brasstown bald. Kitchen is well stocked for your stay. Check in was very easy, owner responds quickly to questions. Hope to stay here again!

This was fantastic! We loved the property and used it. The hot tub was clean and stocked with supplies. The grills worked well and the screen porch. Interior was great as well. We would love to com back. Short drive to hikes and food.

Perfect location and stocked with everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay over the Fourth of July holiday. The home was very clean and comfortable. There were several areas to hang out, and the hot tub and ping pong table were favorites! We cooked several meals in the kitchen and were delighted to find everything we needed in a neat and orderly fashion.The location was great for our needs....Close to restaurants and the lake. We were so pleased to see Brasstown bald from the back porch. My three sons are all Eagle Scouts and have hiked and camped on the mountain.We hope to stay in this lovely home again the next time we come to town.

Great Property

There are so many great things about this property. The owners left NYE party supplies and a bottle of wine. Plus snacks and waters for the kids. That was a very nice touch. We triggered the alarm and they answer our call right away and assisted with turning it off. The house is clean and well stocked. Except for laundry detergent, we got dirty in the mines in Dahlonaga. The kids loved the game room downstairs. Playing darts was fun. The location is great as well as the views!! It’s close enough to groceries and restaurants, but secluded enough to feel like you’re in a cabin at the top of a mountain. The only complaint is the mattress in the main floor br, it’s wore out. All other beds are super comfy. The living room is cozy and the fireplace is awesome. They left a fire log. We really enjoyed a fire. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. I did buy a pan to use. I’m not a fan of Teflon coating. The Ingles Grocery Store has everything. Only 10 minutes away, we highly recommend horse back riding at Brasstown Valley Resort.

Thanksgiving retreat - Very Thankful!!

Excellent property with spectacular views. Everything we needed was available. Larry and Dianna were amazing hosts - Quick response. The cabin was even more beautiful than we expected. So much to do in the area. Wineries, hiking, waterfalls and just relaxing at the cabin we felt at home! Loved the game room too! Thank you for sharing your little piece of the mountain with us!

October get-away

We had a wonderful stay at L&D Mountain Retreat! Everything was clean, well-stocked, comfortable and in working order. We enjoyed the screened in porch on the chilly mornings. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The kitchen has everything you would need! We loved the hot tub under the stars with a view of Brasstown Bald. Our teenagers enjoyed the games downstairs. There was space for everyone!

Great getaway!

What A GREAT Getaway!

What a wonderful place to get away from it all, but still have things close enough to do. The cabin was PHENOMINAL! Everything you could ask for!! There was so much to do within a short drive! The weather for us was wonderful as it actually snowed! Game room fully equipped. Kitchen had everything and then some. Some of the most comfortable beds EVER! The owner's take PRIDE in their property!

Excellent place to stay in the GA mountains!

We had a great time staying at this cabin. Everything we needed was there. Very quiet place. The cabin was close to wherever we needed to go. Everything was in perfect working order. Larry was very responsive to any questions that I had. I highly recommend staying here!!

Week in the Mountains

We enjoyed our stay; the cabin was very nice, and the view was beautiful. The cabin had everything you would want in a vacation place it was clean and accommodating. The location is excellent, very private and within a short drive to several towns in the area including Hiawassee and Blairsville. We will definitely stay again.

Family vacation

Not too far off the beaten path cabin nestled in the woods and super quiet. Mr. And Mrs. Williamson are fantastic hosts and were very quick to respond if any issues arose at the cabin. It was the perfect setup for us because my children stayed downstairs in their own “little apartment”, and my mother who has had hip and knee replacement, stayed in the central section of the cabin, and me and my husband were upstairs. We enjoyed staying in an area of the mountains we had not seen before. Perfect weather too! Recommend to all, especially families looking for a nice, quiet getaway!😊

Beautiful Cabin

This cabin is beautiful! The spa was amazing. We were able to relax and have a great time! This cabin has everything you can think of. There is extra pillows and blankets if needed. There was shampoo and conditioner provided for us. However, we had our own! Plenty of towels were provided as well! We like the fact that every floor has its own bathroom. The game room was a plus! We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the mornings! The grill was also a plus as we like to grill out a lot. Larry was quick to respond when I had a question. We will definitely be back!

Very well equipped, clean, great location!

We stayed in the cabin as a group of 4 adults and 4 kids and baby, there was plenty of room for all of us and the basement was great to send the kids to play. The cabin was clean and extremely well equipped! All beds king and queen were very comfortable, only the one twin bed in the basement was not so much, but it was good enough for a small light child to sleep on so was fine for us. Location is also great as it is very close to the lake chatuge beach, some great BBQ places and some nice hiking. Also although its very secluded and private it is pretty close to town so not too remote. Wifi was good too.

Perfect Stay

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect. There was plenty of room for our multi generational group. We had a blast in the game room with ping pong and foose ball. The cabin was very well stocked with everything we needed. The owner was extremely responsive . We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent!

I have so many things I can say about this place so I will say it’s my top FAVORITE!!! This place was made with lots of love and care for others❤️ Everything you’ll need like plenty of towels,cookware,spices so just bring food and your loved ones because you will make a lot of memories here…My family didn’t complain not 1 time so please don’t hesitate to visit you will not want to leave… Secluded and very private! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space🥰Everything you need to know is right there soon as you walk in the door don’t be like me and not read everything clearly lol lol… Thank you so much for allowing my family to stay we are very happy and refreshed🥰

Family mountain getaway

We had a wonderful time at Larry's cabin! Fires in the fireplace, soaking in the hot tub, doing puzzles and cooking. My daughter's and their children and I needed a peaceful getaway and this was perfect!

Thanksgiving in the GA mountains!

Had a great time at the L&D Mountain Retreat! Cabin is in fantastic condition with plenty of room for 7 of us. Well appointed with plenty of cooking implements as well as electric skillet, coffee makers, toasters, etc. Literally just bring food there is something to cook it with. Hot tub, fireplace, fire pit.....what more can you ask for? Great location too. Thanks Larry and Diana!
