30A Week in Grayton

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a week at this lovely 4 level house and had plenty of space for everyone (11 guests). The location was great with easy beach access. The restaurants and coffee shop at the end of the street were great as well. The check in and check out process were easy and they were accommodating when we need a couple of hours for late checkout. The golf cart and bikes were great for getting around to Seaside and Watercolor.

We absolutely loved this property. Perfect for our family of 12. It is definitely one we will be coming back to. Location is perfect! 150 yards to the beach. Shaded pool to get out of the sun. Stunning views from each balcony and not o e issue while we were there. Highly recommend.

Fun stay - Responsive Host!

The location is fantastic, and we really enjoyed exploring the area; it’s definitely a place we’d love to come back to. While we did run into a few hiccups during our stay, the house representative was incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made a big difference. Overall, it was a fun and memorable trip, and we’re already looking forward to returning!

Fun Family Vacation

We loved the property! Great access to the beach and surrounding towns. We could stay in the laid back atmosphere of Grayton Beach or take a short bike ride to Watercolor or Seaside and enjoy the action!

Fantastic home and perfect location

Can’t say enough good things - perfect location and home was beautifully kept. Close to our favorites Red Bar and Chiringo. Close enough to walk to Watercolor and Seaside. Plenty of room and the beds were so comfortable! Out second time staying!

The property could use some attention! Simple inexpensive items ; such as shower curtains were torn and rusty. The microwave was rusted on the inside. A walk in closet had a water leak and was moldy ! A mattress pad was badly stained. The view and location were great! The management responded in a timely manner.

Great stay with family and friends

Property was great! The house was beautiful and very comfortable. House was well equipped and advertised accurately. Beach views everywhere and we enjoyed starting and ending our day outside on the porch with oceanviews. The location was great and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Beach access was great too. Grayton is a wonderful place to stay. The host was prompt and very helpful answering questions. Overall a fantastic trip with family and friends celebrating our daughter who leaves soon for college. Would definitely stay again! Thank you for sharing your home.

Amazing experience

This was by far the best Vrbo experience any of us have ever had. The home was spotless, comfortable, had extra amenities and was the perfect location. We received immediate responses anytime we had questions. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc for our use. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Gorgeous views and beautiful home. I can’t think of anything that would make it better!

Beach life

Property was nice. The oven had some issues and one small refrigerator wasn't working. One of the air conditioners was also having problems.

Wonderful Rental

The neighborhood is great and loves having the golf cart to get around. Only complaint is that the oven was broken and we were not made aware of it, although management knew it was not operable. We brought tons of food to cook and we could have prepared differently if we had known.

Time at the house

Stay was great, but there was construction on the house next door so saws and power tools started up at 7;30 am. Not fun. Also, two of our vehicles got nails in tires.

Good stay at Tequila Mockingbird

This property is just as advertised online. Large and comfortable and homey. Beautiful ocean view. Be aware that because the house is on multiple levels, there is a lot of noise in the bedrooms from others walking above you in their own bedrooms. The location makes it super accessible to the ocean, but know that it is definitely next to the Red Bar in a crowded area in the evenings. Lots of partying going on around. Golf cart was a nice addition. We never used the bikes so can't speak to those. The mattresses could definitely use updating as they are softer than expected, but the linens were nice. The pool table was a main reason we chose this particular property. Sadly, the cues are all broken and several of the pockets had holes in them. So that was a bummer. And they didn't provide any beach towels, so we had to purchase (and ultimately left at the property). All in all, this is a nice property in a great area.

Details Overlooked

A big factor in renting this property was the availability of a golf cart. This is especially true with the distance to the beach and the traffic in the area. We arrived to find the golf cart was inoperable. I called the number for the property manager and while she was sympathetic, she basically said since it was on a Friday afternoon there was no one available to repair it. Also, two of the bath rooms had no towels whatsoever. Once reported the towels were brought over in a relatively short period of time. Another annoying oversight was the fact several of the remote controls had no batteries. Two of the TVs were completely unplugged and their components disconnected. While a minor problem, it all added up to be quite annoying. The property is becoming worn, and need some updating. The master bed definitely needs a new mattress. Overall the property was spacious and in a great location. However for the rates charged there were too many overlook details

Thanks for the review, the prior guest had broken off the prongs to the charger and this was fixed the next morning after being notified that night. The house is Gulf front so you don’t need a golf cart to go to the beach, it’s a direct access through the dunes. The golf cart is provided to our guest and if issues do arise, they are handled immediately. After being there most of the week, the guest notified me that she needed more towels so I went and bought 6 new towels for her. When we checked on the property after their departure, the new towels were still in the bag and never even used. I was unaware of the remotes but there are batteries in the house for situations like this. Our company really goes over and beyond for our guest and the location couldn’t be better. Thanks
