Enjoy the amazing sunsets, a cooling dip in the pool and nature all around you. Two master suites and a pullout in the large living room mean plenty of room for everyone. If you like to enjoy a cocktail or frozen drink while on island time, there are two bars, one in the kitchen and another in the living room. All three showers are recently updated tile and the remodeled kitchen is modern and sleek. Featuring stainless steel gas range/oven, microwave, dishwasher and French door refrigerator. Wireless internet throughout the house so you can Facetime friends or stream entertainment on one of the three smart TVs. With the pool and the view, you may never want to leave, but with Cane Bay beach just ten minutes away, you owe it to yourself. You can eat at the Landing Restaurant, or make new friends at Off The Wall beach bar. Just a half hour to Frederiksted or Christiansted means you can take in some local history, enjoy Rainbow Beach, the Frederiksted Pier or stroll the Christiansted boardwalk checking out shops and restaurants. The manager, Chuck, and his dog live in the apartment under the house.

Nice Place

A very nice place. Clean, quiet, great view of the ocean. The host was very quick to answer any questions and to address any concerns that we had. Property manager was pleasant and was quick to address any issues. As others have stated, the sliding glass doors are a little quirky, but that is only a minor issue. A great location.

8 Days in Paradise

The house was exactly as described -- big airy rooms with spectacular views. It was furnished to make you feel welcome and comfortable, which we were. We were 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to see and do. Fantastic rental!

Perfect Location

The house was perfect for 2 couples with separate master suites and two spare bathrooms. The house is up on the hill so gets wonderful breezes (or winds depending on the time of year) and has great ocean views, both directly north and down to Cane Bay. We spent a lot of time in the pool hanging out with the hermit crabs and the one iguana that came to visit. Chuck, the property manager (and his dog Wilson) is fun and knowledgeable. The ocean and a few small beaches are within walking distance although having a Jeep is a must. Cane Bay is about a 5 minute drive away and Frederiksted and Christiansted are both about half an hour's drive away. I'm hoping we can come back to visit soon.

Nice, quiet, and Friendly

We had a wonderful time at Sunshine and Happiness! Everything was clean, the kitchen was really nice! So if you like to cook while you are in The islands, the kitchen here is top-notch. Chuck, the property manager was extremely knowledgeable, super friendly, and was a great host. I would highly recommend this location if you like privacy but still be close to both Christiansted and Fredricksted. Cane Bay is five minutes from the property so if you’re into scuba diving, you couldn’t stay better. Both the property manager and owners were quick to respond to questions and the property manager made several recommendations for activities and restaurants that were appreciated. One of my favorite things about this location is that it sits in the rainforest on St. Croix. The flowers were all in bloom when we were there and the landscaping around the pool in the house are quite nice. I would recommend that you have your own car if you’re staying at this location. There were two of us, so there was plenty of room, but the house could easily accommodate six still not feel crowded. There are a lot of nice places to stay on St. Croix, we have been coming to the island for several years and this is now one of our favorite places to stay.

House was really set up to entertain, and if no friends very comfortable for my husband and I. It had everything we needed and more. Property manager, Chuck, very responsive, friendly, but professional as well. If you’d like to cook, this house is friendly to your menus

Thanksgiving getaway

Our stay here was wonderful. The pool was clean, the location was great, and the property manager was extremely helpful and personable. My kids had a great time! Everything we needed to have our tropical holiday was there! We will definitely consider this property on our future visits.

Wonderful Home, Terrific Hosts

We had a wonderful stay in this home. Up in the mountains with a really good view, and more importantly a sea breeze. We loved the amenities, including the pool which we were able to use daily, which helped as it was really warm.

One of the best

Cannot say enough positive things about the owner and manager of this house as well as the place itself. By far one of our best vacations. The Manager was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and address any needs. The owner also handled the entire time we were there with a positive, adaptable, and professional manner. We have already recommended to friends and family and if we go back to St Croix, this will be the first place we look. As far as the island goes - best snorkeling there is and friendly people everywhere. Definitely would recommend a jeep or tough SUV as the roads get rough outside of Christenstead.

Beautiful house and setting

This house is very spacious set on a hillside with a great view of the water. There is a neighbor on one side but is shielded by trees. The panoramic view from the balcony is of lush green hills and the sea and the sunset. No houses to disrupt the beauty. Our three weeks here were peaceful and restful. The owner responded promptly to the few maintenance issues we had. The house is a five-minute drive from Cane Bay Beach--great for scuba and snorkeling. There are also 4 restaurants on the same beach so very convenient. One word of caution; the roads on the island are in disrepair. We rented a Jeep SUV but a four-wheel drive would be more appropriate and worth the extra money. An all-around great vacation.

Stay in St. Croix

This property is amazing for your next stay in St. Croix. There is plenty of space, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, great views from every room, and of course the wonderful pool. Jeff was a very responsive host and the property manager, Chuck, was extremely helpful when we had a water issue the first night. Both went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction and we are very thankful. The house itself could use some updates but overall we were very satisfied with our stay. You are 20-30 minutes from either main "town" and 5-10 minutes from Cane Bay beaches and restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Loved the house we kept the 1 bedroom cooled off and it was a hot time of year for the kitchen but you got a pretty nice breeze going thru the lower living room. Only negatives were the sliding door screens were difficult to use if at all and we could have swam in the pool before we left but maintenance guys showed up to fix tile in the pool

VRBO Sunshine & Happiness

The property was as advertised. It is a clean and well kept property. I was very excited for this vacation, so by the time we had arrived I'd looked at the pictures enough to pretty much have the layout memorized! About the only change from the images is the change in duvet covers, which my 14 year old son was pretty excited about since I'd tormented him about the pink butterflies way too often!! We had a very adventurous vacation on the island that was well deserved, taking several nights to make use of the board games left at the rental as well as enjoying the pool. At the end of it all I am very thankful for the communication Jeff and Beth had with us. Their willingness to help us with hurdles of our stay really made a huge difference to maximize our trip. I very much appreciate this! I'd like to again say a very special thank you to Ryan and Marci for coming to our aid that first night and helping us settle. That was above and beyond and very much appreciated!! Jeff, I forgot to mention you are down a smoke detector!!! The batteries apparently went low in the one above the bar in the middle of the night and it took to going off. My husband got it down but could not make it stop. It suffered an awful fate and I do not believe it will work again. Please get with me for replacement.

Just what we needed!

We went to St Croix to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were looking for a place to just get a way. This house and location was perfect for us! The host was very responsive, the house had everything we needed and the location was perfect to be able to get almost anywhere on the island in about 30 minutes or less. Highly recommend this property!

Amazing

It is an amazing house to stay at and do not hesitate to rent this property. We rented an SUV and it was just fine getting us up the hill and into the driveway. The owner, Jeff, was professional, extremely easy to work with and responded quickly to all our inquires. The property manager responded timely and was readily available to answer our questions. The house is as described and all appliances including the BBQ grill were in great working order. The kitchen was stocked with lots of seasonings and there was an abundance of cookware, dishes and linens. We did not need to use air conditioning as the tropical breezes and ceiling fans kept the house very comfortable. The pool was nice to enjoy after being at the beach. We enjoyed eating out as well using the grill for a few BBQ meals at home. The views from the living room and pool deck are gorgeous and the sunsets from the deck were spectacular. It is very easy to unwind and enjoy an island lifestyle at this property. We had a great time and look forward to returning. Jeff, thanks for sharing your sunshine and happiness home with us.

True Happiness and Sunshine

Home was beautiful and had everything you need for a great stay. You do need a Jeep to get to the house. The newly remodeled kitchen has everything. Most nights the Island breeze and ceiling fan were enough to keep the house cool. The wild life by the pool was great. We would stay there again if we ever get back to St. Croix.

Fully Equipped Home with Beautiful Views

This was a great house, beautiful views. You must rent a jeep or truck ideally to get up to the houses location. The water did crap out on us quite a few times upon our stay and had to be manually reset out back, but I guess that comes with island living. All and all a wonderful time and as mentioned beautiful views.
