The kitchen was equipped with toaster oven, microwave and multiple means of making coffee. All we needed for a 4 day stay. There was also an available hot plate and an assortment of pots/pans but we never made use of them.

Our stay was delightful. The space is large, and artfully decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The back porch is a treat if the weather is warm enough. Lisa was attentive via text which was nice. The location is terrific as a departure point, though it's hilly enough that we chose driving over walking. Do be aware that the space is on the lower level, so you will need to carry bags down a number of outside steps. We would definitely stay there again.

Wow! I have nothing but praises for Lisa and her place!! We had some extenuating circumstances come up last minute, and Lisa was extremely accommodating and gracious. Once we did arrive to her place, it was great! What a haven! Beautifully decorated, simple but meaningful touches all throughout her place. The suite was close to everything! Easy parking in a quaint neighborhood! We would definitely stay again!

Lovely place, perfect for the 2 of us. The unit was clean, comfortable & had everything we needed plus a few extra surprises from Lisa. Well lit path down side of house for easy walk during the evening hours.Location was within easy walking distance (up fairly good incline) to two wonderful restaurants (All Day Darling & Nine Mile). Also the Montford neighborhood nearby has some beautiful older homes to observe from the sidewalk making the walk lovely. Walking to “downtown’ Asheville is a bit farther than we wanted to walk, knowing we would be doing a lot of walking when there, plus it would be mostly uphill walking back. Recommend for those wanting to be close to downtown Asheville but in the quietness of neighborhoods.

Immaculately clean, spacious, and convenient to downtown, Grove Arcade, and I-240. The neighborhood is a quiet, green residential area, and there is one on-street parking spot. The owner is a ceramics artist, and the decor of the apartment reflects a modern, artistic esthetic. Everything seemed new and well thought-out. The living room, bedroom, and bathroom were well laid out, large, and inviting. There was a delightful back porch overlooking a small garden and ravine - very pleasant for reading and hanging out. The kitchen was not designed for ambitious cooking (hotplate, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, milk frother, and mid-size refrigerator) but was adequate for simple cooking and met our needs. I would definitely recommend this place stay here again

My husband and I had a long weekend stay for our anniversary and it couldn't have gone better. The space was absolutely beautiful, clean, relaxing and comfortable. The small details were very thoughtful. Lisa gave us great recommendations for food and places to go and see we made a lot of great memories, hiking, eating good food, walking downtown and seeing the Biltmore estate. It's an easy walk to downtown and lots of good restaurants. It did storm one night and Lisa was so nice enough to check on us to make sure we were okay. We definitely hope to stay here again. 10 out of 10 experience!

The property was clean and quiet, and the host was very sweet and communicative! The location was also very convenient - we had easy street parking so we could drive if needed, but walking downtown was also easy and quite nice if the weather was good that day. It was the perfect getaway for our weekend trip.

A wonderful getaway

We loved our stay in Asheville. The rental space was perfect for a couple (would be a squeeze for more than two). The neighborhood is very cool, filled with beautiful homes and friendly neighbors. A great neighborhood coffee shop (also serving beer and wine) is a 10-minute walk away. The north end of downtown Asheville is about a 20-minute walk away. Very doable -- but note: the walks are hilly; you'll get your exercise. Ubers and Lyfts are easy to get -- 8 to 10 one way to most of the places you'll want to go in Asheville. Lisa was quick to communicate and very helpful to us during our stay. The only downside: a few of the windows in the living room and the door to the rental don't have curtains, so in the summer, it gets light in the space pretty early. Lisa provides sleep masks, I assume for that reason. I'm a beer guy. My wife loves chocolate. We enjoyed plenty of both in Asheville. We spent an afternoon at the Biltmore (about a 12-minute drive away) and a day hiking at DuPont State Forest (beautiful waterfalls, about 50 minutes away). This is a great town and a great rental space for a couples getaway.

Great Getaway Weekend

I was in Asheville for a meeting and my husband and I decided to stay the entire weekend. The stay at this charming Montford apartment was outstanding. The host was very gracious and made sure we had no issues at check-in. She provided restaurant recommendations and from that list I had one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The rental was just as pictured, no surprises. There were many small touches to make sure we had a good stay. Highly recommend.

Great home base for exploring Asheville

This property is comfortable and clean and is in a cool historic neighborhood (Montford). Very close to downtown. We appreciated Lisa’s attention to detail, including snacks and drinks. Also nice to see Lisa’s own ceramics on display. Lisa was very responsive and pleasant. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Wonderful space

We stayed two nights. Easily walkable to downtown if you like walking. Host was very accommodating and responsive. The space is delightful, quiet and welcoming. Loved the complimentary water and coffee! Deck overlooking the gorgeous hydrangeas in back yard was a perfect spot for morning coffee amid evening wine.

This place was exactly what my wife and I were looking for — quiet, clean and within walking distance from downtown Asheville. Our host Lisa was in touch with us from start to end, and was always ready to answer questions. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with the treats she welcomed us with. We look forward to visiting this place again in the near future, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives.

Ideal spot

This property is in the ideal location. A short walk or an even shorter Lyft ride, you will be downtown in minutes. The space itself was so cute, and has everything you need. Lisa was very attentive and you can truly feel how much she wants you to have a wonderful stay. Definitely would recommend!

Easy communication, great community was able to walk most places. On street parking a breeze. Cleanliness of unit 10/10. Overall vibe of unit was perfect…loved eclectic decor. Attention to detail by host was well thought out all the way from the hula hoop on private porch to little mints…so peaceful and beautiful…would be back and would recommend.

Perfect Ashville hideaway

First time ever in Asheville, and this was a great place to stay. It was so close to downtown and all the suburban areas. Lisa was the perfect host and so attentive - She provided information for dining and places to visit, as well as an immaculate apartment filled with her art. Do not hesitate to rent this property!

Great spot in Montford

Great spot in a quiet neighborhood. The unit is well equipped for a perfect stay. Comfortable living room with TV, spacious bedroom and bath. Keep the wine and cheese chilled in the kitchenette and enjoy them on the back porch.Host Lisa knows the area well and has great recommendations.

Fifteen years ago I rusticated to the mountains of Western North Carolina to immerse myself in the study of ceramics at the Penland School of Crafts -- an amazing arts and crafts school 45 miles north of Asheville.

My studio in Asheville is located in Grovewood Village adjacent to the Grove Park Inn. I spend the majority of my time making one-of-a-kind hand-built ceramics.

My home is a treasure to me. I am blessed to have enough space to share it with friends, family and guests!

It is my pleasure to create a special experience for you. The suite has been designed with your comfort and pleasure in mind. Great care has been taken to create the ideal "home away from home" while exploring Asheville!
