Enjoyable Vacation

Overall, the property was very good. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. We had a great time and enjoyed using the hot tub. The only thing that was an issue was the a/c. It was warm outside (80s during the day) and the house was warm. We turned the units on cool and turned the temps down but they would always go back up to 72. We weren't in the house a lot during the day so it was ok but it was very warm at night trying to sleep.

Great Getaway

Spacious. Nice large windows let in cheerful light and the views. Very clean! Kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil you might need. Hot tub very clean. Worked out great for our summer stay. Caleb is very responsive and accommodating! We would return in the future.

Cozy and Spacious

This place felt bigger than the photos, so props for that! We didn't feel as if we were bumping into each other the entire stay; ample room in this listing. The hot tub was great, the grill was great, lots of great kitchen amenities included. All instructions were easy for check-in and out, the town is Salida is close enough and easy to get to. Great spot for a weekend getaway with friends!

Very nice

We enjoyed our vacation in Salida! The house was close to downtown and all activities. It was clean and had everything that we needed. We would stay there again.

Monarch Ski Trip

This house was perfect for our family of 5. Close to town and to Monarch Ski resort. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and necessary utensils to prepare meals. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Fast wifi and comfy beds. Thank you!

Great getaway

We had a great time at the property. The stars are amazing and you can enjoy them from the hot tub which we did nightly. 20 min drive up to Monarch and a short drive into Salida. Deer greet you each morning. We would definitely stay again.

Good and Bad

The property was in a convenient location and beautiful. We are familiar with Salida after living in the area for many years. We came with family for assistance in getting our cabin ready to sell. Although the property is aesthetically nice there are some 'areas' of concern. The most important is the hazard surrounding the fireplace. Four family members tripped over the rock in front of the furnace. My husband tripped and sustained a horrible fall. He is on a blood thinner and fortunately did not hit his head. He has three broken toes and a sprained wrist. Our suggestion is to consider removing this 'hazard' The other small things pale in comparison. Don and Donna Newsom

Great mountain views

We enjoyed the close proximity to town but far enough out to enjoy great mountain views and peaceful moments. The home had everything we needed to enjoy time together as a family and also space to spread out and wind down after some busy days.

Great place and amazing views

This property was perfect for what we were looking for. It was the perfect location to explore lots of nearby towns and adventures. Beautiful mountain views in every direction. Some of the inside felt a little odd. As someone who is detail oriented, the paint was sloppy, the decor felt random, and some of the spaces just felt thrown together. For example, many of the rooms you had to step down into and then back up into the bathrooms. One of the bathrooms you nearly fall out of when you open the door from the toilet. The inside could use some fixing up, but overall nice, clean place.

Fun n the snow

This was a perfect house for our ski vacation at Monarch Mountain. The house was spotless and very comfortable (except for the twin beds). The 360 degree views of the mountains were fantastic as was the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. We will definitely come back!
