Great Spot

We absolutely loved this Villa! So clean, elegant, and so much to do. We were greeted promptly and walked through all the necessary information. An easy and thoroughly relaxing experience! Highly recommend!

This villa was spot on for me and the kids. Great, private garden, gym and gameroom. BBQ and pool level is briljant for the kids anbd family. Close to Jan Thiel beach and Spaanse Water. Thx Armand for check in and advises during our stay

Beautiful place, great location

The hosts, Richard and Corrine were just wonderful. We had a few minor issues and they always took care of things right away.The location is perfect, quick access to both Jan Thiel beach and Tug Boat beach which is right next to where we fish out of. We would stay here again for sure. The tub was broken and if it was not for my wife having a broken foot this would be no issue. We did have difficult issues with the microwave, but we just worked around it.

Tropical Paradise

We loved our stay at Groot Geluk - host was super attentive and manager was very responsive. This is a true “home” - with a fully equipped kitchen and a fair bit of essentials (oil, spices etc) that would be helpful if people arrived empty-handed ! The decor is just as lovely as pictured - that and the beautiful private pool - surrounded with a lush tropical garden - were the main reasons I chose this villa and I was not disappointed… the area is a bit “lively” at night on the weekends, but nothing that dampened our over-all enjoyment of the villa.

Great place for a family vacation on beautiful Curacao !

Wow ! Villa Groot Geluk is a real Oase in Jan Thiel. Close to the Jan Thiel beach with parties and restaurants. But also the quit private place to return. Big and luxe house, big hidden garden and big pool ! Even better in real than on the pictures. My brothers enjoyed the gym and game room. My dad felt like the king of the BBQ ! Fun for everyone. Hope to come back soon.

Family of 6

We had a wonderful time at this property. It is as lovely as the pictures suggest. We had many great suppers and game nights together as a family on the upper patio. We love music, so having a simple and easy way to connect to the Sonos speakers across the property made the stay more enjoyable. The property location is also a plus. Jan Thiel is an upscale area, and the property is a 10 min walk from Jan Thiel Beach, restaurants, and watersport activities (i.e. Blue Fin Catamaran to Klein Beach). Thank you, Bram and Armand!

Great Place to Stay in Curacao

This is a very beautiful place in Curacao, in one of the safest neighborhoods that we observed! We stay at a lot of VBRO’s and this place was absolutely spacious and comfortable. The Pool area has a fully appointed Barbeque area for cooking nightly meals. Since it is warm there all of the time, you end up spending a great deal of time in and, by the pool. This was our first time in Curacao, and we wanted to stay here most of the time vs. exploring the area & Beaches… . The neighborhood certainly gives you the feeling of being safe. Armand (the person to check you in & out) is the Perfect Gentleman, he was a pleasure to deal with! He was professional, responsive and, conscientious. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Amazingly beautiful home and pool, centrally located, far exceeded our expectations

We came to Curacao with a group of 6 adults and this home was perfect for us. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and has plenty of cross ventilation with all is the large doors opened. The pool was extremely clean (it was serviced twice in the 6 days we were there) and felt very refreshing. The home definitely accommodates large groups including two large outdoor eating areas, two full size refrigerators and a large bbq area/outdoor kitchen. The bedrooms stayed cool with the individual AC units and the beds were very comfortable to sleep on. The manager, Armad, was quick to come and help with any needs or questions and we appreciated his help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home and would absolutely stay here again.

We were a family of seven who enjoyed our stay at the Villa. The pool area is exceptional and the pool was maintained twice while we were there. The Villa has two outdoor sitting areas that were well used by all and offered people plenty of choices for outdoor living. Armand, the property manager always responded to communication and we appreciated that greatly. Each bedroom has air conditioning that was welcomed at night; it is not needed otherwise. There is a grill and plenty of fridge space. We would recommend the Villa to others hoping to stay in this part of the island. Thank you, Bram.

CLEAN home, GREAT pool, AWESOME location

We loved the location of the property, the pool, the outdoor grill, and it was very well stocked! The home was VERY clean! The AC units in bedrooms were various, some were awesome at cooling, and a couple of others were intermittent. A fan would help for the AC units that did not cool as well. I had a fight with the Nespresso machine, it won... so we ended up just getting coffee from the Coffee Bike 2 mins down the road. We loved that there were both US and European outlets. The pool was a hit for all ages! Rob was super helpful and friendly at checking us in and out. Grocery store (Van den Tweel) was close by, along with several restaurants (our fav was Mojitos and Bites) near Papagayo, just a short 5 mins drive away. Such a great home for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). We had everything we needed for a FANTASTIC time in Curacao! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Villa - Jan Thiel

We loved our stay in this Villa. The location was great! Very safe area and a close walk to Jan Thiel Beach, restaurants and grocery store. The villa has lots of space and beautiful artwork. Bedrooms were all a good space and and good layout. The outdoor space is amazing, two large patios with dining tables and lounge spaces. The BBQ area is excellent! Pool was perfect for us and long enough to swim laps. It’s cleaned twice a week. The gym added activities with ping pong table and darts. This was great for downtime at the Villa. We really felt like we had our own private resort. It was an excellent stay and the owner and property manager were very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note is for longer stays you will need to go shopping for some household necessities (oil, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags). Not a big deal but good to know. We stayed for 10 nights so had to stock up some of that.

Curaçao was Curawow at Villa Groot Geluk!

VGG was great for my family of 5 while we stayed in Curaçao. Jan Thiel is a great residential area and we felt safe the whole time. Jan Thiel Beach is a short walk away and a super quick drive. Lots of restaurants nearby at Papagayo Resort, but venture out and explore. The house really had everything we needed. The AC was in the bedrooms only, which was fine with us. You open the doors onto the balcony dining area and the island breeze comes right through. WiFi was great, towels for showers and the beach were provided . Pool and beach toys for the kiddos. The kitchen was great with plenty of amenities , cutlery and spices to cook breakfast in the morning. Brush up on your Dutch to operate the microwave/oven, lol. Big fridge, so plenty of space for that grocery market run. Beds were good, might need to change out the mattress toppers. But we all slept soundly after hitting the beach and exploring the island. The gem of this property is definitely the outdoor balcony, the pool and outdoor kitchen. The beautiful garden really added to the experience. That in-ground pool felt awesome on a hot day after being at the beach. So do yourself a favor and book this place. And the property contact Armand was a true gentleman, very helpful and always available. Can’t wait to return to Curaçao and Villa Groot Geluk!

Pleasant Retreat for our family holidays

We had a pleasant stay at Villa Groot Geluk. The communication with the owner was quick and prompt and Armand, the housekeeper was a big help and always at hand, when we needed him. As we had a little trouble getting to Curacao, Bram and Armand where really flexible and helpful to make everything possible. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, and we had more than enough space for our party of 8 people. We loved the outside area, especially the big table on the balcony and really enjoyed the big pool, which was very clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, same to the outside kitchen. A supermarket and some restaurants are close by, as well as the Jan Thiel Beach; you can easily reach everything by foot. Although the house and its environment are really great, some of the utility installation is aging. Especially in regions like Curacao where it is important to save resources, a running toilet or inadequate insulation can quickly lead to unnecessary and unwanted consumption. During our stay it has proven useful to regularly check the electricity as well as the water consumption and to seek dialog with Bram and Armand in case of irregularities. But as we immediately told Armand about the problems, he and Bram very quickly took remedial action and were very accommodating concerning the billing. Thank you very much Bram and Armand for your help and for having us. We really enjoyed our stay in the Villa.
