Rainforest house

Plenty of space and gathering spaces for three generations of family. Morning toucans in the tree and hummingbirds were special treats! Very close to many adventures- Catarata, volcano, Baldi Springs. Truly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here with our family. The house is beautiful and clean. The separate 1b/1b casita was a hit with our adult daughter. Centrally located to all tours and attractions in the area. Owner was responsive and helpful. Monkeys and toucans in the trees within view from the balcony. Beautiful garden as well.

Beautiful jungle oasis

This house was amazing! It was right in the jungle and absolutely beautiful. Really enjoyed the nature around the home especially in the early morning when all the birds and monkeys were waking up. The home is very close to La fortuna city center and all the hot springs. I would definitely here again.

A Perfect Stay in the Rainforest

Our family enjoyed our stay at Casa Armonia in La Fortuna. The house was the perfect size for our extended family of nine. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the howler monkeys, toucans, and hummingbirds that visited us daily. Evan and Sylvia were great hosts that responded quickly with any concerns we had regarding the property. We also enjoyed a night hike at Papa's Place, which is conveniently located next door. Soda Tito Rosa, down the road, was a great spot for dinner.

Wonderful 4 days celebrating daughter’s 30 borthday

House was beautiful and a great place to stay. Very spacious, great views of the rainforest, and pictures were completely accurate. We had a chef cook us a wonderful birthday dinner, a great dinner and night time hike 2 doors down a Papa’s Place. Host was very responsive. Highly recomend

Beautiful home in the rainforest

I absolutely loved the two weeks I spent here! It’s peaceful and out of the bustle of La Fortuna and filled with the sounds of the jungle in a luxury setting. Host is super helpful and fast to respond. I would absolutely stay here again!

Family reunion in La Fortuna

Three generations - grandparents, sons and daughters in law and 4 grandchildren stayed. Home and casita are comfortable and spacious. House is conveniently located for excursions and strolling in town. Large kitchen and dining room table for group meals. Beautiful balconies to sit and relax. Loved staying here

Jungle House

Nice modern house Conveniently located near La Fortuna, grocery store, and tourist excursions. Owner was very easy to contact and addressed our needs promptly. We loved the outdoor balconies and porch. Beds were very comfortable and luxurious bathrooms!

Wonderful Home!

The home is immaculate! Our group consisted of four couples in our 60’s . We loved the home and would definitely stay here again. If I dig deep on an improvement it would be the quality of the bed/bedding - but who wants to be that person??

The Perfect Home for a family gathering

Casa Armonía worked perfectly for our family of three adult couples and one single. The house is beautiful, surrounded by the forrest. A beautiful covered area with a large table to eat and watch, monkeys, birds etc. Cose to town with many great places to eat. Can’t say enough about Silvia and her quick response with recommendations which made our trip amazing.Excellent on every way.

Beautiful House

Great modern house just up a dirt road from town. Bedrooms all air conditioned, but rest of the house did get hot. Very accurate description in listing and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent place

My family had a wonderful time when we stayed at this house. The house was beautiful, my children loved the porches with hammocks. The view of the volcano was excellent, and it was within a 20 minute drive from anything we wanted to see within the area.Our host recommended a tour organizer/guide who lived two houses down (Papa's place). He too was excellent, reasonable prices, excellent tour. His wife also cooks if notified in advance for small (or large) groups.

The Perfect Retreat

We had a wonderful stay! We travel with two families of four and the house had plenty of room. We saw monkeys and toucans right from the porch every morning. The hosts were always helpful and very responsive. The home is close to town but also away from the noise. It felt like we were in the middle of the rain forest. We went on a sloth tour and night walk at Papas Place right up the road. We just walked up the hill. We recommend this home for a wonderful time with all the amenities you need. Thank you for hosting us!!!

Family Adventure in La Fortuna

My family stayed at this wonderful residence for the holidays. It was perfect. The house has a small casita with its own bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette that was perfect for the grandparents as it had no stairs. The main house had four bedrooms and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for family to gather. The owner provided lots of information about the house and the area that we found useful. We were close to markets, waterfalls, tours, restaurants, and shops. All of Fortuna was a short drive. Every communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to a family or group of friends staying in the area.

Lovely home, gorgeous surroundings

We had a wonderful stay at the property–the location was just down the road from a grocery store, restaurants, and other amenities, yet it felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. The yard was beautiful and we were treated to the sounds of animals every day. As a group, we really appreciated having access to laundry facilities onsite that we could use ourselves. The various indoor and outdoor seating arrangements were wonderful. (Remember, it's the rain forest, so things can be very damp and not quite sparkly clean. A dehumidifier would be very useful!) We would absolutely return to the property during a future visit.

Modern clean property, great location

Nice stay, new clean house. Host was very helpful and responsive. There is no dishwasher so just be aware. As a friendly suggestion to host, the house would benefit if a few rugs were added in the living room and other rooms for cozy feel. Also, master bedroom needs wardrobe and generally it would be useful to have more storage in bedrooms. Some wall art would also make house more interesting.

Wonderful Stay in La Fortuna!

We loved our stay here! My husband and I and our two grown children had plenty of space to spread out but spend time together in the common areas. The property was new, updated, comfortable, clean, and safe. We had a rental car, and it was very convenient to all of the area attractions and grocery. We enjoyed the jungle sounds and watching the toucans (no monkeys this trip, maybe next time!) The wooden table and bar on the porch are stunning and a great place to eat/relax. The king room is lovely, but I will note that it is on the 3rd floor, so walking up/carrying a suitcase up could be a challenge for seniors or anyone with any mobility issues. Hosts were very responsive to all our questions. Highly recommend!

Amazing House / Amazing Location

We visited La Fortuna for my retirement trip with our 5 grown children and had the absolute BEST time. The house is incredible - well maintained and had plenty of space for 7 adults. The location of the house is perfect! We were just a few minutes away by car from everything that La Fortuna has to offer plus we could literally sit on the back porch and watch a wide variety of birds and monkeys in the trees behind the house. The owners are so easy to work with and had wonderful suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Highly recommend doing the night hike and / or Sloth Tour with Papa's Place while you stay here. Papa's Place is two doors down from this house (easy walking distance) and we learned so much about the animals that were in the backyard of the house we were staying in. We honestly can not say enough good things about our time in La Fortuna and will definitely be returning.

Beautiful property and home near the Arenal Volcano

We had a group of 10 people traveling to La Fortuna in late April. This property is the absolute best of both worlds. The house has one master suite with a spacious bath on the top floor with views of the Arenal volcano on a clear day. The second floor has three bedrooms with a shared bath. The main floor is spacious and opens up to an outside porch which is perfect for sitting and enjoying the monkeys, toucans and butterflies. The outside casita is an extra space which was perfect for our large group. The drive into town is less than 10 minutes. The owners are very responsive and helpful in answering questions. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Windows and views!

We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. First- the hosts! They answered every question promptly and you can feel their warmth through their communication and manual that is in the house. Next- the views! Amazing windows throughout the house with a view of the volcano from the master bath. The wooden breakfast bar outside was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, and the hammock on the upper deck for relaxing to rainforest sounds in the evening. The space is clean, modern, and thoughtful- loved the yoga mats for a quick outdoor morning stretch session. Since we didn’t rent a car we did have to taxi everywhere- out and back, but they were short rides.

Absolutely amazing!!

Everything about this place-100% the best!! I absolutely loved the rainforest, the location of this house, and the locals! The house is 2 houses away from some wonderful folks- Gerald and Priscilla of Papa’s place. They made us feel right at home in their home, and we met someone there that helped us with our remaining excursions and experiences! I recommended it all!!! We walked the Mystic Bridges, swam in La Fortuna waterfall, hiked the volcano, and did a tour at a chocolate and coffee factory, and still had time to enjoy ourselves and the beautiful scenery and wildlife (birds monkeys and lizards…even the cutter ants) in our own backyard. I don’t say this about all my reviews (in fact this may be the first ever), but I would definitely love to enjoy the rainforest and stay here again!

Our family is half Costa Rican, half American, making us what many call Tico Gringos. Our kids, Amani and Zoey, have never been happier than when they are here, splashing in the rain and running around the terrace. Regular trips to the hot springs make it hard for them to leave! We hope to live here full time one day, but for now, we can't wait to share our paradise with you!

I have also been a tour guide in La Fortuna and other parts of Costa Rica for over 12 years. I know the area and industry well and can answer any questions you have during your stay. Whether it's booking a tour, having a home cooked meal by a private chef in our kitchen, or a relaxing massage without ever leaving home, I am happy to help make your stay an amazing vacation!

Our property is right at the foothills of Cerro Chato and is perfect for daily hikes! We built a 3 story home to have great views of the valley and Arenal Volcano from the second and third floors.
