Belle Haven - High Speed internet, walk to town

Enjoy this adorable cottage recently updated within walking distance to the town of Kilmarnock. Irvington and White Stone are a 5-7 minute drive. The Northern Neck of Virginia is a beautiful and relaxing area only 2.5 hours from Northern Virginia or just over an hour from Richmond.

We just recently purchased this cottage and have thoughtfully updated it to make it a comfortable getaway.
The space
Perfect spot for getting away and relaxing. Our family has so enjoyed game night by the fire and movie night in the den. Plenty of spaces for gathering and also for some quiet time. The yard is large and you'll have plenty of space for parking.

We look forwarding to hosting families and small groups, but please no parties or gatherings at the house.
Guest access
We have a door keypad, so you will receive a code prior to your stay. The keypad code can also be used to set the house alarm if you so desire.
Other things to note
There are a few places close by for hiking/nature walks which we really enjoy. There are also several kayak launches. The Tides Inn is very close by, which is great for dinner or the spa. There are also several golf courses in the area.

Very nice cozy house. Bigger inside than looks on outside. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Walking distance to town and library. A lot of places to explore in Kilmarnock and surrounding area. Will stay there again if visiting the area again.

Very clean, accommodations met our needs of 4 friends. Location perfect for touring garden week in Northern Neck and Middlesex County. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great spot.

Girls Weekend

This house was perfect for our girls weekend. The house itself is so cute and very comfortable to relax and hang out. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We loved the big couch in the TV room! The location is great as well. Right in the heart of town. Would definitely stay here again!

Quilters retreat

Belle haven is a lovely house, perfect for our small group of quilters to gather for a few days of sewing, shopping, and fun. Beds are comfortable, decor is beautiful, and the grounds are colorful and private. It's also an easy walk to downtown Kilmarnock with it's many shops and restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This house was perfect for a group of college friends spending four days together. Clean, nicely decorated, wonderfully equipped and within walking distance of the town of Kilmarnock, with several nice restaurants and a smattering of shops. The home has a dining room, comfortable living room and a family room for watching television or playing games or just relaxing! Our host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! Backyard was well equipped with outdoor furniture and a small chiminea. Maybe we’ll come back late in the season to sit outside and enjoy the fire!

Girls Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in Kilmarnock. The location is great to visit this cute town with a good variety of shops and restaurants. The house was set up perfectly for six of us for beds, bathrooms, and parking. Thank you for such an adorable, well-kept house.

Another lovely stay in Kilmarnock

I stayed in this comfortable cottage for my second over night visit to Kilmarnock to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. This home is very clean and well appointed with plenty of space to visit. Beautiful yard on a quiet street near the town center.

Quaint house in a quaint village

My daughter and her 15 month old son flew in, from out of the country, and I drove up from the NC coast, so we could visit for a couple of days. The house was spacious and accommodating, with a nice private fenced back yard.

We were in town for a family memorial service and came from New York and Illinois. The house was perfect for what we needed. Very clean. We didn't spend much time there so cant speak to all the offerings.

Cute as a button!

We loved this house. We came to stay for a local rowing camp - we were only 3 adults but the house is great for a family! Master BR in its own wing w 2 spacious bedrooms with a shared bath. Two nice living spaces, dining room and a small but well appointed kitchen. Huge back yard area and nice front yard planted beautifully. Walking distance to town. Totally quiet and private location. Very cute decor.

Ladies Get Away

6 of us enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this beautiful cottage home in downtown Kilmarnock, VA. The owner was attentive, thoughtful, and responsive. She provided a ton of useful information about her home and the area before we arrived. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and plenty of space of us to hang out. Highly recommend the Car Wash Cafe for a great local breakfast and the Merroir Tasting Room for a fabulous seafood dinner with outdoor seating on the water. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!

Perfect Girl’s Weekend Getaway

Super cute and super stocked house! The house had everything you would need from paper products & cleaning stuff to cooking utensils. All we had to bring were clothes, some snacks and our own toiletries, which is perfect packing for a quick weekend! The backyard seating area is adorable. The beds are super comfortable. Location was within walking distance of the cute little town of Kilmarnock. Recommendations for food/coffee: Front Porch for Coffee and Ice Cream. Chai Phraya for Sushi and Thai inspired dishes. The Car Wash Cafe for an awesome crab cake lunch with amazing cookies and cakes for dessert. Kilmarnock Inn for Sunday brunch (need reservations). The Crab King for fresh seafood boils, fresh steamed crab and other fresh seafood. Hughlett Point Natural Area Preserve was a wonderful 2 mile hike. We were only there for a quick weekend so we did not get to do everything or eat everywhere we wanted, but we have already discussed returning next year!

Great getaway!

We booked this house for a trip to visit family also in the area. It’s located on a quite peaceful street, yet it’s just minutes away from the Main Street shops and dining options. The home was well kept with plenty of room for my wife and our two boys. With a nice chess set, puzzles, games, and a pleasant family room and WiFi/televisions, we had more than enough entertainment options for when we were relaxing in the home and not out and about in town or visiting the family. We’ll definitely look to try and book this location for our future trips to the area. PS, A big thank you to the property owner Kristen for the quality of our visit and for being a pleasure to work with in coordinating our stay!
