New Braunfels Bungalow~Near Downtown

Get away for the any season! Herry Haus is a terrific setting for your next vacation or get together! A charming bungalow built in 1927 by the sons of an original German settler and town contractor, Christian Herry. The Herry Haus is a cozy, warm, brick home that welcomes all who appreciate simplicity! Enjoy the nostalgia of front porch fellowship, the amazement of watching the timeless train, backyard fun or a peaceful morning/evening stroll downtown!

The Haus offers most modern day amenities to host a small family gathering, a flexcation work and study space, a friend's weekend getaway or a holiday celebration! The home is equipped with Wifi/Internet and is complimented with several work/study spaces inside and outside to accommodate multiple users. The dining room provides versatile dining up to 6 people along with the breakfast nook in the kitchen and when needed a drop leaf table for an additional 4 people the living room.

The kitchen is equipped with all needed appliances and most commonly used cookware, serveware and dinnerware. Full dinnerware placesettings are available for both casual and a formal affairs. Highlight for the breakfast nook in addition to being a great work space is the coffee bar, equipped with coffee, tea and a coffee maker that can brew a kraft or provide individual servings!

The two bedrooms offer comfy new beds with fresh linens provided along with vintage dressers and ample space to stash your travel gear. The main bedroom has a King bed and the second bedroom a Queen. If needed, a twin EZ air bed is available. The quaint living room is ready to host with adequate seating and comes with a full size sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations. The bath provides a large claw foot tub and shower to relax at the end of the day in a soaking bath that promises to stop time! Linens provided.

Entertainment is a win at the Herry Haus whether you decide to stay in or get out!
At the Haus, you can enjoy a good ole fashion board game or watch movies! The home provides cable TV and free internet wifi access for any devices you bring!
Hop outside under the tall pecan trees with a backyard BBQ and game of washers or simply swing on the front porch, nap or read a book!

Road trip in any direction! Take off to the Hill Country where it offers all types of fun from the Natural Bridge Caverns, to beautiful state parks and wineries! Or consider a 15 minute trip to the San Marcus shopping malls or even goin South to see the Alamo and San Antonio River walk!

Locally, Herry Haus is conveniently five blocks from downtown where you can dine at any of the eclectic restaurants or pubs while catching some live music afterwards!
Downtown offers many attractions with antique stores, ladies boutiques, home furnishing mercantile, bakeries, a farmers market on Saturdays and churches on Sunday! Historic Gruene, Tx is only 12 minute away to enjoy boutique and antique shopping, a variety of the fine restaurants and ,of course, music at the Oldest Dance Hall in Texas, Gruene Hall!

Fresh air and exercise?
Hit the trails on foot or grab your bike! Take a walk along the wooded Dry Comal Creek trial to Landa Park then head for an excursion through Panther Canyon where you can see the heads waters of the Comal River bubble up from the Edwards Aquifer, a must see! For cyclists, Herry Haus is 2 blocks from the Mill Street Bike Route and central to routes that will launch you as far into the hill country as you want to go!

In late Spring and Summer, Herry Haus is only a 6 minute drive to local river tube outfitters where you can jump in for a 3 hour float down the Comal River or play at the popular Schlitterbahn waterpark for the day!

The Herry Haus has something for everyone who want to get away for any occasion whether you want to see the sites, have a flex space or just catch your breath and relax!

Herry Haus has a 2 night minimum stay and 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
The Haus does not allow pets or smoking to keep the home allergy free.

Local City Ordinance adherence is required upon rental agreement and will be enforced.
