Primehaven- A wonderful retreat in this unique bayside village!

Welcome to paradise! Primehaven, in Primehook Beach, DE is back to nature with all the comforts of home. Out the back door you have an open deck with beautiful views of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, great for bird watching and relaxing as the evening sun sets in the west. Out front you enjoy a beautiful sunrise and are just steps away from two entrances to a dog-friendly, not crowded beach on the Delaware Bay. Yes, our house is pet friendly with a pet fee!

Primehaven is the perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy time with family and friends. The house is a recently built (2012), open and airy, sanctuary that sleeps 6-7 people. The 1st floor of the house has an open living area which includes a large living room with cathedral ceiling, the deck, and a large kitchen, all with views of the wildlife refuge. This level also includes a queen bedroom suite with a full bath, a laundry room and powder room.

The second bedroom is actually a large second floor loft overlooking the first floor as well as the wildlife refuge. It has an open architecture as well, has a queen and two single beds and a trundle bed, and an office area (but who wants to work?), and of course, a full bath. Windows on the east side provide an overview of the bay and the community and to the west look over the beautiful refuge.

Family meals? The house has a well equipped kitchen and a dining area. We do not have a dish washer but do provide paper places if you don't want to wash the dishes! Beach toys? The house has many beach chairs to choose from, kites, boogie boards and large floats/boogie boards.

We hope you enjoy the time to unwind and escape the beach crowds to spend quiet time with family and friends. Please keep in mind that this is a private beach and is not a groomed beach.

Notes-
1. The TV in the living room is a smart TV. Should you desire, you may use your Netflix, Hulu (etc) account on that TV. Please make sure you sign out of your account before you leave! Please do not order movies on the Xfinity account.

2. We do not provide linens. Please bring up to 3 sets of queen sheets, 3 twin set for beds (a queen-ish set if you plan to use the pull out couch) and towels for the bath and beach. If you prefer to rent them please visit 227rent.com and they can drop off and pick up anything you will need.

This is a beautiful comfortable house with a fantastic kitchen next to a pretty quiet beach. We got several gorge sunsets on the back deck over the view of the marsh. We loved staying there. The open plan bedroom on the second floor makes the place feel spacious.

Beautiful home! Location is about 30 min from Rehoboth. Right across the street from the prime hook beach! We stayed with our 3 kids and my parents. It was a little challenging being in a loft space with kids as you can hear EVERYTHING in the whole house in the upstairs bedroom since there are no walls or doors. Just keep that in mind when traveling as a group! The view is magnificent! The kitchen is beautiful. We loved the open living area. Everything was very clean!

A beautiful house with a fantastic view of the wildlife reserve. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was quiet…the entire house was quiet which is exactly what we needed. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need! My husband even said; it felt like a home, everything to make you feel comfortable. An assortment of pillows and blankets, outdoor beach equipment, puzzles, and books. TV that we never looked at since the view outdoors was much better! The furnishings were tasteful and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for more. Betsy was quick to answer any question we had. We hope to visit again in the spring.

Loved our stay at this quiet getaway. Fantastic views from the balcony and even great views through the large windows when a brief summer storm passes through.The main living area is up a flight of stairs which our dog wasn’t too keen on climbing back down. But he was very excited by the visiting bunnies and birds in the back yard. There was plenty of space for my wife and I, lots of beautiful wood furniture, and the house has a comfortable atmosphere.Overall was a great quiet neighborhood and we really enjoyed our stay.

Nice quiet getaway

The property and house was beautiful and well maintained. It was a real nice getaway. The beach was close by also making it nice. The view of the nature preserve from the deck was really nice.

The house was amazing. The views were so pretty. Watching the sunset was so relaxing. The beach... just couldn't get enough. My son absolutely loved the horseshoe crabs! Restaurants and shopping only a 15- 20 minutes drive. To be surrounded by the wildlife refuge was the best part!

Lovely Property - Great View

This was our second stay at Primehaven. We enjoyed it just as much as last year. The house is beautifully maintained and well provisioned. The ability to sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the marsh is a big part of what keeps us coming back.

Thoughtful hosting stunning scenery

The cottage was beautiful and well kept. Stunning views of the natural preserve that afforded for breathtaking sunsets. From the second story loft area, you could see the bay and the ocean . Due to the time of year(sun placement) I watched a semi obstructed view of the sunrise each morning. Truly, stunning. The house had all the necessary and mostly brand name household items one would need, soaps, foils, storage bags, trashbags, wipes, etc. Along with all the traditional items like a roasting pan, baking sheets, etc. I'm not doing it justice, they had everything I could think of that I would need, except maybe a kettle. It really felt like i was staying at a friend's house. The beds were comfortable and had a bed topper on them for added comfort. They squeaked a bit but not enough to wake you up. The couch was comfortable to nap on, although we didn't pull the mattress out. The additional seating in the living room was odd - looked like waiting room chairs. But my group didn't need them, we happily sat on the couch and lounge chair. The three walk-in showers (including outside) had great water pressure! The bedroom and bathroom doors are pocket doors - a brilliant use of space. The weather was cool during our visit. So opening up the back deck and the windows creates a wonderful relaxing cross breeze. A great visit at a great house! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

First time at Prime Hook

The home was beautiful and very much as described on the listing. Easy walk to the beach and we enjoyed the beach almost daily. Great location for all ages as we had young children and adults staying. Peaceful, serene, and relaxing.

Quiet, calming and all about nature;)

We love PH- and the simplicity of the place- in fact we are building there over the next 18-24 months- but wanted to enjoy the place - and this house is perfect for us and our two pups- stocked with everything, great views- for a smaller home- the space is used very well-easy walking and biking - only 6 miles to a wonderful town with everything you need- We love it- definitely will stay again in this lovely beach cottage!

New Years weekend

Great home and location. My wife and I and our dogs had a great long holiday weekend. We would definitely stay again. Sunset views from out back cant be beat.
