Why did I choose this neighborhood?
Simply because it brings together everything I love about Madeira: the ocean, peace and quiet, nearby shops and restaurants, an exceptional climate, and a truly high quality of life. 🌊🌞
This neighborhood is perfectly located. Within just a few minutes’ walk, you can reach the sea, the scenic coastal promenade, the Forum Madeira shopping center, supermarkets, traditional restaurants, cafés, and bus stops that connect you to the rest of the island. Everything is close by, yet the area remains calm and relaxing — exactly what people come to Madeira for.
What I enjoy most is the balance between local life and modern comfort. The neighborhood is lively without being noisy. You’ll meet friendly locals, families, and travelers, all sharing the same relaxed and welcoming vibe. The seaside walks are absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset, and you can easily walk to Praia Formosa, Doca do Cavacas, or even all the way to downtown Funchal if you enjoy longer strolls. 🌅
Another thing I love: in less than 20 minutes by car, you can completely change scenery and be in the heart of the mountains, sometimes even above the clouds, surrounded by wild landscapes, hiking trails, and breathtaking viewpoints.
