This private ocean view condo is on the third floor of the south side of the building ...about 40 steps along the pathway leads to the gem of south Maui, Keawakapu Beach!

Keawakapu Beach, located on the south shore of Maui, Hawaii, is known for its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This picturesque beach is a favorite spot for locals and return visitors and features soft golden sand, clear waters, and lush greenery surrounding the area. It's a great spot for families to swim, snorkel, and sunbathe, and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

Recently updated and upgraded- this is a wonderful spot for your vacation on Maui. The open floor plan lets the ocean breezes flow through the comfortable designer style living room and gourmet kitchen. The bedrooms both have king beds and split AC units for your sleeping comfort.

At this beachfront property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

Hale Hui Kai is a beloved location among first time visitors and repeat guests. There is a small shared oceanfront pool next to the common area covered lanai, which is equipped with comfortable lounge space for guests to enjoy when you need a break from the Maui sun. On each floor of the property, is a pay-to-use laundry room each with two washers and two dryers.

Inaccurate listing

The please was nice the listing inaccurate, i booked a two room condo, king bed and two fulls. When i get to the place i found that there were two king beds... the admin did even try to solve the problem.

Beautiful view!

This unit has an excellent view. The beds were comfortable and overall the unit had a nice layout. Some issues: dishwasher needs to be replaced and isn’t properly attached so it kept tipping. There was a heavy amount of dust under the beds- I noticed this when I went to retrieve an earbud I dropped. They could add a extra beach chairs, umbrellas and boogey boards. Overall the stay was great!

Totally disappointed with the state of the condo along with the management company. Beautiful view.

Unfortunately our stay was disappointing. The location and view from this property is beautiful, however we stayed there for two weeks and only had one working toilet. When we advised the management company they said the part was on order and would take longer than our stay. (My husband found the part 25 min drive away). We then had a leaking dishwasher (water and sticky brown substance) so I called and messaged the mgt company right away and nothing was ever done. The condo is bad condition and it’s very frustrating for us as we paid around 17,000 cad for two week and many things did not work. There was also a cap on hot water so one of us could shower with warm water quickly before all hot water was gone. The couch also was an issue as it was very worn so there was no support when you would sit. The pictures may have been taken years ago when the condo was in better condition. Such a shame as it has so much potential.

Reviewer Comments: Rental unit was very nice. I should say, that we arrived 2 days before the fire in Lahaina, had happy hour in Lahaina on 08/07 (the day before the fire) and the aftermath of the fire understandably put a pall on our trip. We were (and are) heartbroken for the people who lost their homes and family. We spent time donating time, money and feeling extremely sorry for those impacted. It's hard to rationalize a positive rental experience under the circumstances.

Reviewer Comments: This was our 12th trip to the Hale Hui Kai - without question our favourite place to stay in Maui due to its proximity to the beach, the quaint dwelling and the easy to navigate reservation system. This condo was new to us - recently renovated and had everything we needed for another successful Hale Hui Kai vacation. One set back is as Canadians travelling to Maui our flights don’t leave until nearly midnight and with check out at 10:00 a.m. the last day is a tough one. Once the Canadian dollar improves we will consider adding an extra night but that is certainly not a Hale Hui Kai issue!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay in HHK 308. The unit was very comfortable and has been updated in recent years. Air conditioning in the unit was a plus, but there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms, living area, and one bathroom that really help to keep the air moving. We'd love to stay here again!A special shout out of thanks to the management staff who helped us out when our rental car company came to trade our car and didn't have our correct phone number. The issue was handled very professionally.

We loved the location with only steps to the beach. The balcony had a great view and the condo had everything we needed. I’d definitely recommend for couples and families.

Some broken items were replaced immediately upon calling management. Broken bedroom dresser drawers, no bedroom TVs could not be remedied. Beach access excellent and the public areas well maintained.

Bello responded to all of our questions in a timely manner and provided all of the required information for a smooth arrival to the property. The Condo itself (#308) was pretty close to perfect! Beautiful layout, great view, well stocked with everything from olive oil to beach chairs! The unit was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and all appliances, fans, TVs etc. were in working order. The only thing lacking was an in-suite washer and dryer which would have made the property perfect!
