Welcome to the ‘Maison des Béguines’, an authentic little 3-storey historic monument (listed as a heritage site) built in 1700, typical of Rouen with its beautiful half-timbered facade, tiled roof and exposed beams...
Situated in a quiet, little-used cobbled street (dead end), you are nevertheless right in the heart of Rouen's historic centre, 150 metres from the famous Place du Vieux Marché with its lively shops and restaurants!
It's the ideal starting point for exploring the ‘city of a hundred steeples’. The ‘Maison des Béguines’ comprises 4 flats that have just been renovated (to meet energy standards), with a studio for 2 people on each floor of around 20m2. Note that access is secured by a digicode at the entrance!
Each flat has its own identity, inspired by a loved one. Designed down to the last detail with the help of an interior designer, the flats have been carefully furnished, decorated and equipped to make you feel at home.
Discover the Julia without further ado! Inspired by an artistic and sensitive personality, the flat has been designed as a cosy, designer cocoon using warm, natural colours such as Fauvette beige and Terracotta.
Situated on the 2nd floor with its exposed beams, the flat has a lot of charm with its bohemian decoration, its graphic wall highlighted by the beautiful light that reigns (triple exposure).
Optimised down to the smallest detail, you'll find a living area with a magnificent velvet-effect sofa that converts easily into a 140cm double bed. Particular attention has been paid to providing the best possible sleeping experience with a slatted base and a 16cm thick ‘Excellence’ mattress in 30kg/m3 high resilience polyurethane foam. All you have to do is snuggle up comfortably in the hotel sheets. The beautiful curtains are opaque, so you won't be woken by daylight in the morning.
You'll find plenty of storage space for your clothes, either folded in the dresser or hung behind a mirror.
The open-plan kitchen with its terrazzo effect floor is particularly well equipped: electric hob, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, kettle... and plenty of cooking utensils to prepare your best dishes to enjoy on the dining table opposite.
Finally, you can relax in the bath (rain head) in the bathroom, which also has a washbasin with storage and WC. The little extra: an electric heated towel rail, just like in a hotel!
You'll also benefit from a high-speed wifi network via fibre and an HD TV with all the DTT channels and the option of castering content from your phone or tablet. As far as the TV is concerned, this is not yet the case, but the TV should be operational by the end of September.
An ironing board and iron are available in the common areas.

Rouen's Vieux-Marché district is one of the city's most emblematic and historic areas, with its famous square, the church of Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc and its Halles (covered market). The area is bustling with cafés, brasseries and restaurants serving a wide range of cuisine, from Norman specialities to international dishes. The terraces of these establishments offer pleasant views over the square and are ideal for relaxing.
The often colourful half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets give the area a medieval feel. The historic houses and well-preserved buildings immerse visitors in the history of Rouen.
The Place du Vieux-Marché regularly hosts cultural events, markets and festivals. This makes it a lively and dynamic place all year round.

The nearest car park is Place du La Parking du Vieux Marché is a 3-minute walk from the flat. The nearest metro stop is ‘Palais de Justice-Gisèle Halimi’, a 10-minute walk from the flat.

1. Public transport (bus and metro) Rouen is served by a bus and metro network operated by the Astuce company.
Rouen metro: This is actually a tramway, known as a light metro, which crosses the city. There are two lines (T1 and T2) that run close to the city centre, with stations such as Théâtre des Arts and Palais de Justice, both of which are around 5 to 10 minutes' walk from the Gros Horloge.
Bus: Several bus routes serve the centre of Rouen. Stops close to the Gros-Horloge include Théâtre des Arts or Place du Vieux-Marché, which are served by numerous bus lines, such as F1, F2, and 11.
2. Cycling (Cy'clic) Rouen also has a self-service bicycle hire scheme called Cy'clic. There are several cycle stations near the Gros-Horloge, such as those at the Théâtre des Arts and Place du Vieux-Marché.
3. Taxis Taxis are available throughout the city, and it's fairly easy to find them near the historic centre, particularly around Place du Vieux-Marché or main thoroughfares such as Rue Jeanne d'Arc. Alternatively, apps like Uber are also available in Rouen.
4. Train Rouen Rive Droite station is around 10 minutes' walk from the Gros Horloge. From here you can take trains to Paris, Le Havre, Caen and other towns in the region.
## Notes
Please note that the building does not have a lift and that the flat is located on the 2nd floor. Access may be difficult for people with reduced mobility or those carrying large suitcases.
Arrivals are independent for greater flexibility. Arrivals are from 4pm and departures must be no later than 11am.
The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10am to 9pm). In the flat, all our guests receive household linen, basic necessities for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) as well as a large towel per person, together with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bag, bathroom bin bag, sponge and dishwasher liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of the stay.
We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Any mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel freshening, replenishment of essentials or deliveries can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our vouchers with promotional codes for our partners of choice and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.
The Cour de l'Archiduchesse offers a range of services to make your stay as pleasant as possible: baby equipment hire, luggage storage, shuttle service, baby-sitting, gourmet boxes, requests for sightseeing tours, creation of events (wedding proposals, birthdays, room themes, etc.) and much more! Taking advantage of a rental also means respecting a few rules to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the deposit! Don't forget that parties are strictly forbidden (€250 deducted from the deposit), that the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (€50 deducted from the deposit), that pets are forbidden (€50 deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us and that any loss, theft or damage will be invoiced at the actual replacement value.

Très bien et recommande. Un peu bruyant vers 5h du matin mais c pas alarmant étant donner la rue piétonne et ses accès mais très belle emplacement je recommande
