Open the outside shower when coming in from the beach.  DVD on living room TV. Ideal for beach lovers who want to spend quality time looking at the ocean, reading on the deck, or listening to the crashing waves. Located across from the Blue Water Point Public Boat Ramp where you can take your boat out on the water or enjoy casual dining on the water at Lone Rider Restaurant. Awesome house with gorgeous views of the ocean. Home was as described and very clean - Kitchen was nicely stocked and beds were very comfortable. Nice new stacked washer and dryer unit in a closet that is quick and quiet. Lovely furniture thru out the home and all and all we just loved our stay! Would definitely stay again!

MDW Beach Vacay

Had a great time during our annual MDW beach vacay. Everything was as advertised, very close walk down to the beach, a few blocks away from Lone Rider to check out live music and have a cocktail on the intracoastal. Would recommend!

Lovely property and location

We have stayed in Oak Island a number of times in the summer and over spring g break. This property’s location and access to the beach is incredible. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning watching the waves. The property is well taken care of and nicely equipped, especially the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Misleading home description

I have never given a less than 5 star review of a property, until now. The property is listed as "Completely Remodeled". I think it should say "Undergoing Remodeling". The good: The location/view 10/10- great back porch & beach access, quiet. The King bed 10/10- loved the bed-so comfy. The unit was very clean.The bad: The window locks in the living room are corroded and the windows can't be opened (there was an odor on arrival that we wanted to air out). Decided to try the master BR- one window lock was corroded and the window could not be opened. The other lock was corroded and the window was open and could not be secured (and the window would not stay up). The same was for the Queen BR facing the ocean as well. Maintenance came and fixed the Queen bedroom but was not able to secure the master BR window-they did come out the next day and put a piece of wood in the window that would help prevent anyone from opening the window from the back deck. The microwave worked for 5 sec before tripping a fuse- we couldn't find the electrical panel, so we just decided not to use it. The bathrooms lack electrical outlets at a reasonable level- both have outlets located on the light above the vanity that is about 7 feet up the wall. Some doors to the bathroom do not latch/stay closed and others do not stay open. The window covering are reported as new, but many do not work. We had contractors stop by wanting to come in to do work/complete estimates. The house may be a 10/10 at some point

Nice place right on a beautiful beach.

There’s nothing better than being right on a beautiful stretch of beach. The house was nice too: comfortable beds, and a fully remodeled kitchen. Bring a couple baby gates for use on the deck, if you can. Negatives: small interior, Jack-and-Jill bathrooms

Reconstruction Vacation

My husband and I were having our wood damaged floors due to flooding replaced and matched good wood that was not damaged . We had to extend our stay due to staining and repairs taking longer than expected. The host was very understanding and allowed us to stay longer. We really enjoyed our stay and the house was awesome! Our two Aussies loved the beach and my husband loved fishing!!

Perfect Location

This was our first time to Oak Island and it was great! House was in the perfect location right on the beach and walking distance to the lonestar brewery! Perfect for us and our 2 dogs (nice to find a comfortable, clean house that allows dogs and didn't even have a pet fee!) House was clean, bed and couches were conformable, wifi worked well, bathrooms were a little dated but clean. You do need to bring all of your paper products, soap, etc. Overall great experience!

Perfect beach house

You won’t find a closer home to the water with an easy and very short walk to the sand. Loved sitting on the porch watching the ocean and very close proximity to restaurants and shopping.

Great place

Wonderful house. Had a little problem opening the door because the code wasn’t right, but the management fixed it fast. House is pretty well stocked. Could use extra blankets, plugs for the bathtub, and grill accessories. Also, a lighter to light the grill. Loved the deck overlooking the beach. So close to the beach. We really enjoyed this house.
