Weekend Get Away with Friends

We had the best time staying here. We were there for 3 days with friends. The inside was spacious and accommodated our crew perfectly. We took advantage of the pontoon boat which was also amazing. We are looking forward to returning to this property!

Great stsy at great place

The house was everything we needed for our church Elder retreat. Plenty of clean rooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was well appointed and the living/meeting spaces were perfect for our needs. Terri was great to work with.

Late Summer Getaway- Lake James

The location and amenities could not be more perfect for our weekend family getaway! The Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance were mesmerizing and we loved every minute of our stay! We were floating around in the water, paddling in a kayak, or wake surfing most of the time during the day except for the mid-day foosball tourney. The 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths were perfect for our family. Thank you Terri for making everything so smooth!

Family House!

What a great property for all of us! Kids had a blast at the little beach area- older ones jumping off the dock! Adults played pool, cocktails on the porch that is perfect sunset viewing… we planned everything around being on that porch at sunset time! It is very big! The bedrooms, especially downstairs, are huge! Kitchen has everything!

Great for extended families

The house was great with plenty of room for our 13 family group. The kitchen is nicely stocked. The dock was great with room for our 2 kayaks, canoe, fishing boat and pontoon boat. We still had room to swim and fish right from the dock. We caught bream, catfish and perch all from the dock. The kids loved the ping pong table. They even made a fire and had S'mores one night.

Great house!

We had a wonderful stay at this home! The house was wonderful--we had 6 adults and 6 kids and were left wanting for nothing. Plenty of space/beds, plenty of entertainment, very well equipped (kitchenware, soap, some paper products, spices, 2 fridges, train table, lots of toys, linens/blankets). We had a wonderful time on the property, sitting on the dock, making s'mores of an evening, watching movies, hiking at Linville falls, panning for gems... It was too cold for swimming or boating on our spring weekend, but we hope to return sometime!

Wonderful Place!

We had our Annual Family Vacation at this beautiful house. It was very spacious and we had plenty of room for our families. The house was stocked with everything you can think of and had a great covered porch, which we used every day.The lake was a short walk from the back of the house. The younger people had no problem but the older members of our family struggled a bit. There were kayaks and paddle boards and we used them and also brought our pontoon boat, which was great.There was a nice little beach and we all floated on our inflatables every day. On rainy days we played board games and used the pool table and foosball table.I can’t say enough about this house—we all loved it and had a wonderful time.

This house is wonderful! Well stocked kitchen essentials, very clean and such a great layout! The property manager was prompt in responding to any questions that we had. My granddaughter left her favorite blanket in the bed when we left yesterday, and the property manager messaged me today that it is already in the mail. The teens really enjoyed the kayaks, the pool table and fishing from the dock! We hope to come back again with the entire family!

Family friendly

We found the house an ideal setup for our family of eleven. The openness of kitchen, dining room and living room allowed us to be together while doing different activities. The kitchen was well supplied and the second refrigerator downstairs was helpful. The paddle boards and kayaks were big hits.

Gorgeous Lake house, communication ok

First off - The property is amazing. Gorgeous views and plenty of beds to host a large group. But, Communication could be better. This property is run by a realty company that requires a completely separate contract be filled out, signed and faxed/emailed with a picture of my drivers license . About 2 weeks after emailing all the extra documents- I received an email saying that I wouldn’t be able to receive the final rental logistics until I returned the rental agreement. I forwarded my original message with a note that I HAD returned it and heard nothing more. I emailed again to make sure they received it and received a short message that it was received. (no mention of the fact that I did email it when requested or apology for the second email)

Excellent experience

The property was better than expected it was a perfect vacation spot that handled our large group. The kids had a blast this place definitely will keep them happy. Plenty of activities for them. Amazing sunrises and sunsets viewed from the house, porch or backyard. The place was very clean and it was also close and covenant to restaurants and other activities!! Will definitely put on our list for a return.

Great view and house for a quiet stay

We wanted a house with enough room for our large extended family to spend some time after the holidays together. The house delivered on everything we needed with lots of sleeping space, a large living room and a great view of the lake. Next time we need a place for everyone in the NC mountains, we'll be staying here again!

Super clean and well-stocked vacation home!

Our group had such a great time staying at this lake-front property! Upon arriving, everyone exclaimed how clean and spacious the home was. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the well-stocked kitchen! The walk down to the dock was fairly easy, and we very much appreciated the use of the kayaks. We're already discussing a summer trip so we can enjoy being in the water instead of just on the water.

Thanksgiving Family Vacation

The lake house is absolutely AMAZING!! From the moment you step inside, the view out of the back wall of doors and windows of the lake and distant mountains is breathtaking!! The house fit our family’s needs to a “T” with the bedrooms, sleeping arrangements, play space, living area and especially the large dining and kitchen. We could not have asked for or found a more perfect place!!! The house was very well supplied and we had everything we needed!! We experienced a small mishap and we received an immediate response and the situation was corrected very quickly. The location was ideal offering a quiet, peaceful backyard area on the lake with other activities only a short drive away. The games, kayaks and fire pit, as well as the somewhat secluded location, made staying home very pleasant. We most definitely plan to return to this wonderful sanctuary!!

Great family time

We really enjoyed the house and the paddle boards and kyaks. Kitchen was great although some kind of fans are needed or shades because the living area started heating up at noon and never cooled down in that area. Floor lamp needed in living room but those are small things. It was a great family vacation spot.

Summer Lake Vacation

We have never spent time on a lake before and we were thrilled with the proximity to the mountains for hiking and the tranquility of the lake. During the week, the lake is very quiet and boating is amazing. On the weekends, the boat traffic picks up but it was always enjoyable. This house is close to the marina for refueling. Well equipped kitchen, great dock, big porch, kayaks, nice beach and ladder for ease of swimming, good fishing and a media room.
