Updated log cabin nestled privately to provide an instant get away feel. Ideal for a single family retreat at one of Minnesota’s greatest family recreational lakes with 6500 acres of clean water and 56 miles of shoreline making this area ideal for boating, skiing, tubing, fishing (30 kinds of fish!) and a fun sandbar for hot summer days.

With a view making you feel you’re right on the water, many interior updates and 150 feet of shoreline…we welcome you to enjoy our little piece of heaven.

The cabin is small and comfortable. There is a hill with steps down to cabin. You can see in attached pictures.
The lot is spacious and private.

This was an incredible stay for my family and I. Perfect in every way - I highly recommend it!Sammie has considered everything for a relaxing stay at the lake. We had prompt and positive communications with our host. It is charming, quaint, quiet, beautiful, clean and peaceful. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need. The kayaks are a great addition and so fun to paddle around the bay. The bunkhouse and fire pit are lovely. We will be back!

A sweet piece of paradise

This is a lovely little north woods cabin on a wonderful lake! The bunkhouse was perfect for our two sons. The owner was great to communicate with. It’s a perfect getaway for a family.

Great week on Big Sandy

We loved our stay at this property! We felt right at home at this awesome cabin on the bay of a fun lake. We stayed for a week - grilling, cooking, campfires, swimming, and were able to easily work remotely using the wifi. We loved the local bar / restaurants. The privacy of the cabin was perfect! Stop your searching and book this property today!

Perfect MN Up North cabin

Lovely cozy cabin and bunkhouse. Second stay and will be back again.Walleye and northern off the dock little cove is beautiful and right by the little public small craft launch.Super clean and everything you need for a lovely stay. Can watch your fishermen(women) and kids from the huge picture window in the living room.This early its always a bit chilly out nothing a little rain gear cant handle but...warm cabin and one sunny day. What a great week. Thanks Sammie and Shelby!!Back to our shack at Mille Lacs!

Adorable cabin and great host

Sammy is the best host!! He always responded within minutes for any questions I had!!! The cabin has so much charm and our kids loved the bunk house!!! The cabin was very clean and decorated very cute!!! Would definitely go back, thank you Sammy!!

100% Perfect Big Sandy Lake

Property manager Sammie was outstanding! He helped us every step of the way. Answered every question within minutes. They left spices for us to use, nice dishes pots, pans and silverware. We give this little piece of heaven 100%.

Great lake cabin 3Cs

Clean cozy cabin! Recommend a stay here even if you dont have a boat its beautiful. Stayed from our normal weekend Mille Lacs to have a change of lake and scenery. If we go back to Big Sandy for an overnight(s) will try for this place again. Both the cabin and bunk house were just perfect and as advertised or better! Sammie super responsive and helpful. Before and duting our stay. Definitely turnkey and we could have stayed longer and been perfectly happy with the property and the area. I guess a reason to go back! Two things to note if this might apply to you I got a little mixed up on getting the tv streaming on the internet that was a little newish to me but got it figured out pretty quick. User error! And...TV up north..enjoy the view :) Driveway is a little steep/short and there is a hill decline from top of driveway to cabin and again to dock (beautiful view!)...but a wagon was there to help and there are nice wide steps. And you can park on the road in a pinch with a trailer so that was really convenient Thanks Sammie youve got a gem here thanks for the stay!!

38th Anniversary getaway

We had a wonderful and relaxing experience! Sammie, the host, respnded quickly to any questions we had. Our 2 older golden retrievers enjoyed it as well! The lake is beautiful and quiet where the cabin is located. The cabin was cozy and well stocked with amenities, the lake view was gorgeous! I wish I could post pictures!

Adorable Property and Cabin

Peaceful, pretty, tasteful combination of cabin in nature. The owners have done an excellent job of providing a stay mindful of quality, comfort, fun and necessity while respecting the true cabin experience and natural landscape of the property. There’s room to explore, roam a bit and relax with a private dock and ample yard space with enough tree coverage to feel private from neighbors who aren’t too close at all. Our pup loved the yard and pointed out all the wildlife he could find before tuckering out for naps. The cabin is sweet, nostalgic, clean and comfortable – woodsy with whimsy and functionality with fun, solid workmanship. People at nearby businesses were so friendly when we stopped for supplies and Owner, Sammie was great at communicating details ahead and assuring us he was only a call or message away if we had questions or needed anything while we were there. We didn’t; it was perfect. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful view

Cute cabin with gorgeous view. The bed and couch were very comfy, and it was fairly private! The lake is very nice for boating and swimming from pontoons, but not beach swimming, just as an fyi.

Nice old school cabin

Great location on the lake in a quite bay. The 2 beds were comfortable The bunk house was cozy Nice big windows in cabin and bunk house Half the window did not open all the way due to something in the way. Old school cabin feel. Wish we knew you have to park 120 feet away and carry everything down a steep hill. Driveway from the street could be a challenge with out 4 wheel drive. My family had a great time.

Spectacular view and private

We really enjoyed the view of the lake and was surprised by how private and quiet it is. The cabin was comfortable with Wi-Fi and smart TV. We loved the pit fire, bbq, kayaking around the lake for the whole week. Would be back again.

Awesome Place to Stay!

Great cabin with a spectacular view of the lake! The owners are excellent and communicate with any questions! All amenities provided, just bring your food. We had the most relaxing time away to just unplug! We will be back for sure! Thank you so much Sammy and Shelby!
